You'd be surprised how good a Viper can be on fuel if you drive it 'normally'. The big engine with lots of low end grunt means you really never have to get your rpm high, which translates to decent fuel efficiency, especially in the context of an 8+ liter V10
Muscle cars sound like this because of the firing order actually. You can see this when comparing American vs Italian v8s. American v8s or in this case v10 tend to have cross plane crank shafts, which will occasionally cause two pistons on the same side to fire at the same time causing that low frequency throaty muscle car sound. In comparison, Italian v8s use a flat plane crank shaft, resulting in an more uniform firing order, thus omitting that iconic idle sound.

Always loved Vipers since I was a kid. You got 3 beautiful ones. Looks n sounds nasty!
The transition from v8 sound to v10 is actually insane
V10 sounds absolutely amazing whatever done to this viper maybe best one I’ve heard on RUclips never heard any viper in person sound this mean ( meaner then usual )
Straight up v10 power!! Sounds amazing 👍
NA all day straight up nasty.
How to redemption blown 8.0 engine?
Get a 9.0 replacement.
Your car must have proud of you.
Now just add a positive displacement supercharger and its perfect.
@@Remzly I wouldn't want anything that ruin the NA sounds.
@@cantho11 you still hear the motor, especially with a big 9l
Blown 8.0 engine? You mean he destroyed it and replaced it with another?
@@jmhellison his $30 part broke and tears his engine up.
I use to love delivering the fluids for the VIPERS to there plant watching the cars be built on there small assembly line was as close to hand built as cars come
That sound is just addicting. Surely an underrated american car.
Dat Insight is making all the other cars look slow 🤠
I was just about to say! I own two of them lol
romeo_ alpha01 the one in the video is mine haha
mystfire heeeeyyy nice! K swap?
Do you know the sound of 3 mpg😂
Congrats this viper is sick
Still one of my all-time favorite cars!!! Damn shame FCA/SRT can't keep it in production. Nothing says America like large displacement engine's, and the Vipers V10 is one of the Best.
I love the car, but if it doesn't sell enough to be profitable, they'll drop it. Simple as that.
GA PYRODAWG what you doing here haha aren't you supposed to be shooting fireworks lol
seeing that thing fly down the street with that low profile...what a beautiful machine!
This car is literally the meaning of no replacement for displacement. Love the viper!
Shame they don't make it any more tho 😢
That is SO SICK.. love your car dude..
I watch this everyday for breakfast!
When you absolutely, positively, need your race car to haul your trailer for your race car.
It's rare that good sounding cars sound good on RUclips, so you can only imagine what it sounds like in real life.
Pretty sure this is basically the ultimate sports/ super/ muscle car. I mean it can do it all….and this particular one is just dang sweet, what an engine build!
1:17 holy shit, that is fucking WICKED. I could feel the g's from my laptop...
If you don't like Vipers, you're not really into cars.
This thing has almost 1000cc per piston, thats insane
Can you imagine how big the explosions are
I love that raw engine sound get u really feel car power
Thank you RUclips recommendations, this is what we like to see 😤
Y'all seen that 1st gen insight? now *THAT'S* a cool car. 😎
0:42 Ahh. so the duplication glitch works
Saludos👍
Probably the only v10 that sounds like a v8 on idle then opens up two more cylinders in motion 😂
ok the dash lighting up at redlines is the sickest thing ever. its like playing a video game, almost like dodge is tempting you to keep'er in the ketchup
I don’t understand how or why this car “failed” it’s fucking beautiful and fast.
Its too manly for most people.
