@@SneakySnakes yeah I recommend the summer drive up Sequoia, those mountain roads are no joke I know a 488 Pista just crashed on the Tail of the Dragon couple weeks ago
4 years ago I held tight in negotiations on a ‘14 GTS with 2,000 miles. Dealer wanted $80k and I was pushing for $78k. Too bad I didn’t have a crystal ball.

C6 H/C Z06 owner - your car sounds great. Are you using 2nd gear? Wondered if viper & z06 have similar gearing? 2nd works well in the Vette. Helps traction issues.
Keep an eye out for a caged red Miata on slicks. It has the ability to hurt feelings…
Be safe & watch for cruisers coming into your lane on the tight stuff.
Crappy situation to be sucked down in a decreasing radius blind turn and find a cruiser 3 feet in your lane. Takes the fun right out of the run!

That NB portion brought back some fantastic memories of my modest little 200hp Jetta. Blasting up that road, mostly in 2nd gear, is a top 5 driving memory. And, I too also have a trooper lady riding shotgun. Not sure if I could do that. Of course I never went TOO hard as it’s so damn dangerous, and in a monster like yours, sure that sensation is greatly enhanced. Stay safe and keep up the awesome life!!
Did you purchase any of the photos from Killboy/129photos? There’s another company too I think. That was almost my favorite part, the unique opportunity to have magazine quality photos of my own car! Just wish I knew in advance so I could get half the 3,000 bugs off the front.

@@cumbob mk4 - Jetta & Golf, is the best generation VW in my opinion. Feeling like in general, 1998-2008 was the best made cars. Just the right amount of tech and comfort without full computer programming/lack of mechanical feel. Do you love your 1.9 a whole bunch?

Sneaky. I'm stuck between a red 2014 srt and a white 2015 gt 22j package, exact same mileage and aero. Is the 2015 gt worth the extra 10k?
This is 6 months late, and I don’t even know if you’ll care to hear my opinion but I’m gonna share anyways. Personally I wouldn’t say it’s worth the extra 10k. I’m a huge Viper guy but the price differences between the SRT, and GTs are so bogus imo. Both of these trims lack the creature comforts of the GTS, and unless the GT is a GTC which is doesn’t sound like it is id personally just go for the SRT. I’d personally only pay a premium over the SRT if it was a GTS but that’s just me.
@@TheRenegade. I ended up getting the GT. The only thing that the GTS is missing is the closable compartment above the cupholders, and the full leather as opposed to alcantara, which I actually prefer BTW

But quick question how is the interior of the GT vs the GTS? I’ve never seen a GT up and close but I’ve seen the GTS interior and it’s beautiful. But is the GTs interior more raw? Or simply the same as the gts minus a few items?
@@TheRenegade. GT interior is better imo. My car is all white with black interior and brown seats with Alcantara. GTS is all leather, unless you get all black, the tan leather looks ugly imo.
If you get am SRT I would make sure to get the 18 speaker system, makes a HUGE difference. Find one with as much carbon fiber aero as possible, the pieces are expensive af
Suspension wise, get the GTS with the 2 way shock setup. SRT suspension is stiff af, hit the wrong bump and your rear will get out from underneath you
@@TheRenegade. also 2015 gets an extra 5hp, look for one with bolt ons. Mods are stuoud expensive, it costs 1k to even unlock the ECU

When we came here with the i8 and the wife was driving (at a mild pace) and I was riding shotgun. I was playing on my phone and immediately started to get nauseous. Lot of motion on these roads and you almost don't realize it until you are in the passenger seat and looking away (no visual horizon).
