This proposed new laws will not favour the President or his fellow property developers. Why are all these foreigners also rushing to the Gambia for Land? This action is just pricing out the majority of the Gambian population to be poorer and poorer. There should a limit to it. The Gambia need investment and not Land grabbers.
Please be easy with us diaspora, not all are interested in exploiting local people. In fact you should work with diaspora to help create a better place for everyone. Western knowledge and finance plus local knowledge is a winning formula. Imagine how much new work will be created with diasporas return . They need help to learn the language to buy property to find builders why not use this as a way to advance your selves instead of attacking your brothers and sisters 🙅🏾♀️

Not always .you may buy land and end up with issues just with the land ownership as it can be very complex.when you buy the land with them you are sure you won't have conflicts for ownership cause you buy directly from them who bought it before you .secondly having workers to build for you may cost you way more in the long run especially if you are not in the country as workers will come up with extra bills and problems .but with the company the contract you sign for the price remain the same.besides their workers work daily and live on site .you won't have events as stolen bricks etc .
I personally don't think non blacks should be able to buy land in Africa.. Can blacks own land in China? There are many countries when if ur not of that country u cant but land I think Panama is one.. Africa need to adopt those rules and regulations
