Secondly I do not speak Spanish. However, I would love to move to the DR but I’m afraid of the language barrier. I would like to continue to work as a RN. I’ve been to the DR several times and I would love to move there full time
Your marketability here I'm not sure. I don't know much about DR job market because I don't participate in it except for probably the real estate niche. Other than that I have no idea. As far as you not knowing the language there 10s of thousands of foreigners that live here that don't speak the language. You can move here and not know the language but I still recommend you try to pick up on the basics. In areas like Puerto Plata and Punta Cana you really don't have to know a whole lot of Spanish to live in those areas because you'll find people that speak English. But I def would not let the language stop me from moving.

Here is Thomas's response - "Yes I can choose… every month the company puts together schedules based off of where they fly.. when we bid for our schedules we look at the schedules they put together and we preference which schedules we want based off of what we want to do for that month.. some people bid their schedules based off of where they want to fly, some people bid their schedules based off of having certain days off, some people bid their schedules by what time of the day the trips start… there are a lot of different factors that go into each pilots bidding of their schedules and it’s all personal preference"

Hi, i have a question if you can answer honestly… have you ever been discriminated against in DR because your color or race?
No
@@JayAbroad thanks for answering 🙌🏽🙌🏽 soy dominicana y vivo en ct y con las personas que trabajo siempre me dicen lo mismo, voy a decirles que miren tu canal de youtube.
No problem, I use to entertain people who ask those questions but I simply answer them like I answer you with a simple "no". If they want to go further i tell them visit the country and you tell me. Because people who ask have never been here so to defend a position to someone who has never set foot on the island is a waste of my time. I'm OK with them believing whatever they want. Doesn't effect my life at all. Thank you.
That is so true, i tell them to go and try it but they think DR is only punta cana😂😂
