    Things I forgot to mention...
The cost of the actual immigration application was €140 per person = €560 in total.
Private Health Insurance is something you have to have to get through immigration = €130 per person (I forgot exactly, but it's around that number).
Refuse Tax = €145 per annum due in November.

As a Traveller the Problem us Brits have is we can only stay in any EU Country for a Max of 3 Month.
I am in my 60s and next year i am buying a Scooter and leaving the UK , i intend to tour and live in a Tent at Camp sites.
Believe me it's not as cheap as it sounds , £50 a day to live on.

@@paulfensome1404It is worth pointing out that the Cypriot 90 day rule is NOT the Schenzen zone EU rule. Cyprus is currently not in the Schengen zone. The Cypriot 90 day rule is a visa requirement that can be extended with consultation with the Cypriot High Commission.

Let's be honest. The UK is ready for some Wat Tyler action. It needed to happen 20 years ago and I am afraid it is now far too late. The communists and foreigners have the upper hand. it is done. The only answer is escape. Trad avenues of escape are closing. for example Aus and NZ are as bad if not worse. Canada is now a socialist 'paradise' under Trudeau. I escaped to the USA in 84 but it was a nightmare move. it took a total of 15 years from landing to citizen. After traveling the world I am now settled. I will never leave the USA again. I have everything here. Tropics, mountains, deserts and forests. A walk into Mexico for dental work and decent immediate medical care for a reasonable cost here in the USA. Social security pays me enough that I actually save $300 a month. I look at Britain and the state of the place and it breaks my heart. 💔💔💔

It's interesting to read the many comments describing the UK as crap/shithole etc. I live in Chester and really like it. I was born here and moved to Portugal when I was 19 for a bit of adventure. I stayed there for 15 years and moved home when I was 34. I go back to Portugal every year to visit friends and stay a couple of months. I've thought about moving back there, but, to be honest, I think the UK (Chester and surrounding area/south coast where my eldest lives) is very nice. Anyway, good luck to everyone emigrating for a better life.

This is probably the best comment I've seen on this video. My intention wasn't to make it UK vs CY, or heavily immigrant related. However I've had 100s of messages simply saying "so now your an immigrant" like they have had some kind of gotcha moment! Also, there are 100s of comments about UK being a dump.
I wouldn't say it's a dump, I would say the number of stabbings is a joke where we lived in the west midlands. The cost of living meant we couldn't live the life we live now. In the UK we would get a take away once a week, now we eat out multiple times a week, go to entertainment events etc and our budget hasn't really increased from our out goings in the UK.
Also, I think I've seen maybe 1 crack head here, whereas where we lived in UK, you had to step over them to get into the shops and churches. Again not their fault, but also not something I want to bring my kids up around. these things get worse, not better.
Also as I've said before horses for courses, and we all have different circumstances, some live in areas that are a dump, some live in leafy green areas!

Also, if you have the big 18.9L water bottles you can get a harder plastic one (we have 2) from Super Home Centre or other hardware places, and then fill them up in a water refill station for €1.20. I use Mr Penguin water. So that would half your drinking water cost from what you said you were paying. :)

I'm single and just got too lonely without my family, otherwise i'd still be there now. Everyone was respectful, love their families, Didnt know of anyone on benefits, lived off the land, people are so healthy they glow, they dont go out wanting to fight/stab each other on a night out. Cyprus is good i agree, lived there for a number of years, the only downside in the current climate is the ongoing conflict between Israel and the rest of the world plus the war in Ukraine, Akrotiri is heavily used by the RAF and the USAF / israel for flights and 33SU is the main ELINT site in this part of the world.
My point being, you have the Turkish in the north since the invasion in 1974 which was helped along by certain Greeks at the time, so the two SBA areas in the south are a very nice target for the Turks / Russians / Iranians and virtually everyone who is fed up with Anglo-American interference in the countries.
