On my Z4 V10 for the gearbox mount I used the original 3.0 6 speed item and made my mount to suit, it’s way neater and less bulky and bolts straight on to M3 box. I’d post a pic but can’t seem to add unfortunately
I like how you are trying to make it. Is it possible to get some drawings from BMW to make some 3D models and assessments? I have E46 330 it is a dream to have that chassis with a V10, however to pull it at its limit you need everything bigger and larger
Nice job with the gearbox mount! I'm just curious how you measure the alignment between the gearbox and rear differential? The U-joint (X-joint or whatever) is supposed to have a specific angle for it to work correctly. I had some problems getting it correct when i did a M42B18 swap into an BMW 2002 -75. Some laser instrument would be nice next time around! :)
I mean laser instruments of-course would be ideal as well as a 3D scanner but in this case we just based everything off the same level as the chassis frame rails. The trans and oil pan are both clearing and aren't lower than the frame rails so for me, that's good enough. Maybe down the line once I drive this for some time and will have extra money to make it completely right, I will but for now, this will do the job just fine.
@@YEVSBUILDS what I did was to hang a small rope with a weight on, in front of the engine and also back at the gearbox. That helped me somewhat.. but laser is a must i would say. And something to measure the angle with..

Awesome work dude
Appreciate you!
Big progress!! 🙌
Exciting news my friend!
@@YEVSBUILDS also meant to tell you. Finally switched to 5w50. Honestly huge improvement over the 10w60

Yeah I heard of that before but I couldn't find that mount anywhere and decided to go with this route. I think it worked out great.
Finally another video!

I'm actually thinking about it to be honest. But, if I were to do something like that, it'd be after I'm done with this build haha
