I felt a little homesick when I saw the street sign for JW Powell and Lake Mary Rd. I ran a couple of thousand miles on those roads when I lived in Flagstaff.
There's that one race that I was not feeling good and not in control, but I PRd. Races are so different than anything we do in training. You can't really prepare for racing, you have to just race a lot it seems to know what it is and to know how you (mentally) and your body react to it.

Keep up the grind man! I’d say the bedroom because it could be awkward if friends come over and see that poster (if they don’t like anime) and so I think the bedroom is a great place for it. Amazing work man!

A few times explaining your practice needs makes you sound almost apologetic..."I.m a bit behind..." I think the truth is that you know exactly what to do and how to get the schedule set. By this time I was running casually maybe 2 years off and on . But got competitive only 5 month now I got 1 years training in

I have a question about the half marathon. I am currently going into eighth grade and I’m going to run xc for my second season and then track in the spring. After those I’m planning on running a half marathon. Do you think I should do it and how should I approach the half marathon

Run it by your coach. Ideally you should be doing it after XC season so you have more endurance, whereas after track season you’ll likely have been training for speed. Do whatever feels best tho! If you want to do it soon, there’s nothing stopping you. A half marathon at 8th grade is no joke, so take it seriously but most importantly have fun and enjoy any sort of training you do

A high resting heart rate is an indicator of overtraining, but is not the only clue. You’ll likely have other symptoms accompanying the heart rate if you are overtraining.
