Thank you so much for protecting us from time share expert scammers Miss Julie! I hope you have good luck sorting out those super expensive fees at Island Towers!
Hi Julie and team, as a ex timeshare holder I could talk for hours on this. I am not sure but I believe what would happen after or towards the end of this call would be something we experienced a couple of times throughout our 12 years owning a timeshare in Florida. They want your credit card to make a payment for their services to contact the holding company on your behalf to aid in lowering the yearly maintenance fee. This does not happen, they respond to you after a month or so asking for more money as a title fee request or something to that effect that must be paid up front to get your case reviewed by the holding company that has your contract. It does not end there and only keeps one hanging on in hopes of lowering their fees, they keep asking for more. I see other people where on the line, ( just maybe ) these could be people who are in the same office as he is claiming or making one believe you are not alone. Just a little histroy, our maintenance fee started out at $480 US, after the 12th year, it was up to $1680 US, we are Canadian and that cost was over $ 2300. So glad we got out, not without going through a several hundred dollars and a trip to the American Consulate. Thank you for another great video. Your friends from Canada.
Hi Craig, so sorry to hear about your past timeshare troubles! That sounds awful. Some of the voices on the call definitely sounded recorded, but we weren't sure if they all were or not. This was a strange call for sure. Thanks for your continued support!
Think it's great that you have your work videos up.. thanks for helping us make better decisions. Must add that some of your facial expressions are hilarious.
I went to vages a few months ago and everytime my spouse and I got stopped by one of those time shares people at the hotels I would tell them I needed to take a crap and then run in to the bathroom 😂😂
I’ve never seen a “conference” call where there’s multiple “customers” on the phone at the same time. Usually it’s one on one not one scammer & a ton of scamies. Deff a new one for me.
Liked and subscribed. The year of Covid19 has forced the timeshare industry to become more creative (dishonest) than I could ever have imagined. Congratulations Wyndham on your C- rating from the BBB. They were being generous.
It's going to be a sad day when someone with an American accent calls claiming to be "from the IRS" or "We can help you with that timeshare". Lot of people will fall for it because we've become conditioned to only hearing foreign accents from scammers.
I was just thinking the same thing but about the badly written emails that we've come to see as a red flag. If they're a scam they ALWAYS contain a spelling mistake/grammatical error of some kind. Once the scammers hire some native English speakers, we're doomed.
I enjoy watching and listening to all of your scam the scammers videos. You are so polite with them. Are usually leave them on for as long as I possibly can five or 10 minutes and then let loose with a volley of rude nasty what you can do with yourself type of epithets. I am legally blind so if some of this doesn’t make sense… I want to blame Siri.
Hi Julie, Just wanted to tell you Very good job as always on the videos. You have such a calm demeanor, especially knowing how much hurt these people cause others, I think I would lose it and go off on them in about 2 minutes in the calls you make!
I never had one or anything and yet, these people still keep calling me, this is been ongoing for about 20 years now. I can't sell something I never had in the first place. BTW: I've rented my entire adult life. I've never owned anything remotely considered "real property".
@@BBBWisconsin you guys have the best videos on the scammers I've seen so far aside from the scammers calling cops, but your videos are so legit I love them!
You weren't on a conference, those were all recorded voices, probably that they recorded from previous calls. The less 'heavy accent' time on the phone the better. Plus then you hear people with similar problems say things tailored to what you said your fees were in the initial call, that they probably recorded. It's all about making people feel comfortable listening to what they're feeding us. Watch Kitboga, he gets them to admit that they think we're fools, and brag about taking our money. NEVER TELL THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING. Just don't answer any call you don't recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message. If it's a scammer, repeated times going to voicemail and no callbacks from a number means they stop trying that number fairly quickly.
Great video. And, Idea for another: I live in NYC and once was called by a scammer. Claimed to be from Con Edison and that unless I paid hundreds of $$$, my service would be disconnected. Asked me to go to a chain pharmacy, and load a gift card with the funds, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the phone#; however, when I called it back, the outgoing msg said I'd reached Con Ed. :( Thanks for all you do.
What was the point of this scam? Are they going to ask for money to "represent" you in changing or ending your timeshare contract? Or something else? This involved a lot of phone time without getting to the actual scam.
I have watched many of your videos. All these scammers apparently have an accent and speak English with quite a few grammatical errors. They also give the impression of not being very well educated. Have you ever gotten a scam call from anyone who did NOT have an accent?
@@BBBWisconsin it's very good that you take the time to expose these scammers. I actually tricked a scammer into paying me $40 through Western Union! I told her somebody stole my wallet while I was in Germany buying a large yacht! I needed money for gas so I can get back to Norway and pay the $4000 fee to her lawyer for the 4 million she inherited from her father. The title of the video is "I scam a scammer to send me money via Western Union!!"
Has anyone gotten a call that starts off " is this Shawn?" then starts talking about giving money to veterans? I just want to know if it's a scam or not because I want to help the organization if it's real

Hi Julie, Good to see you again! It has been a while... Don't know where they are coming from but I get about half a dozen calls a day from phone numbers i don't recognize. (I don't pick up.) They almost never leave a message. The last one that did said something about a "Windows key".
You need to post the numbers so some of us can have some fun with them. I like messing with Scammers all the time and will spend hours doing it so that they do not target an older person that has no clue of what is going on. You are now by law have to show the phone numbers you have called. This goes with Time Shares, IRS, Microsoft support ect... the numbers have to be given out this also alerts us who can mess with them seeing if that TELCO line is open in a certain area. We backtrack the line to see if it is coming out of Inda, Philippines ect... which then the F.C.C. will also be contacted to shut down another TELCO that is open.
Just has to be, I now refuse to talk to anyone who has an Indian accent on the phone, and I am not being a racist, but I firmly believe that they are all scammers. Does not matter where they are now located
It also wastes their time so they are not scamming vulnerable people. It is also fun. Tell them you have a preexisting condition of stage 5 cancer, see if they warranty a 2017 Mercedes CLK GTR SS, 2016 Bugatti Divo & 2015 Lambo Venero, whine about going to jail for tax evasion and what will happen to your 6 kids (and 4 wives). If the police are coming for me I deserve it for trafficking in human parts and running drugs and money (I'm a hospital lab courier). LOL Lately I copy the text from one "realtor" scammer and their phone number to another scammer, OR tell them the house is a meth lab. Prison, no, until we are one human race that is unlikely, but this is something, until international laws allow 'scam call centers' to be located and then raided in their own country. Have fun!
Hi Julie! Love your videos, they're so informative! Julie, could you please look into the Social Security scammers? I don't have a number, but they almost scammed an elderly neighbor of mine.
