@@genderlessyoutubefanpersonwelcome. B58 is known for its reliability now and the ZF 8 speed is probably the best daily auto transmission you can get. I would just say, BMW says you can change the oil every 12k. Just do it under 6k. Also, transmission fluid is said to be life time by bmw dealers. Look it up on ZF’s website for its maintenance. Do the maintenance on time and you should be good for at least 100k miles.
Rod's tune helped our shop car go past the limitation ots xhp had past 800 whp or so, and now we can scale torque properly and allow the trans to see it and deal with it. Recommended.

had an injector failure so i had a misfire, replaced the injectors, spark plugs, and valve cover gasket, and it was still misfiring. I swapped a coil pack and it didnt move, so I figured it had to be a bent valve or something bad like that, so i had to take it to a local bimmer shop. They did a compression check and boroscope and found liquid in the cyl. They say the charge cooler is cracked or something and leaked into the engine and thats whats causing the misfire because it bent shit. Theyre saying its like 90% chance it wont be worth fixing/fixable, bc they say that getting the head machined and parts and shit would be around the same price as a new engine?? theyre quoting like 10-12k for an engine replacement with a warranty on it, and like 1000 to open it up and see for sure if its able to be fixed like a bent valve or spring. I gave them the go ahead to open it up, bc im reeeally hoping its not too bad it cant be fixed, or even if it is, im not sure it it would be around 10k to get it machined sooo idk.
Crazy timing, I just got a 2017 340i xDrive M Sport last week Already got my downpipes and a mhd stage 2 tune, I'm ngl this is crazy to me. I am coming from a G37x Sedan that made maybe 310 whp and had a lazy 7 spd auto, with maybe 260 wheel lb ft. All those mods, just to barely keep up with 392s, 5.0s, SSs. Now, this stage 2 and downpipes 340i, roasts any V8 that doesn't have a supercharger on it.
@@bipladen I have a 2014 370z.... keeping her clean/paid off... but... looking for a more comfortable and faster vehicle... my girl has an old 535i and it's just SMOOTH and comfortable... my only worry is the use of plastics within the engine bay on newer bmws
@kern417 when trying to walk the line of decent weekend warrior numbers and daily use on a stock motor, would stage 2+ TU pump w/ OTS tune and XHP trans tune suffice and still be somewhat reliable? Or is it too much for a daily and shouldn't wonder past a stage 2/downpipe combo?
I have an important question. So I’m changing the transfer case fluid as preventative maintenance on the n55 f10, is their a break in procedure after the job or can I go back to pushing the car like normal?

So Dre's m240i has stock axles in it? You mentioned it just has a turbo and built trans but is that really it?
it has a driveshaft upgrade but i'm honestly not sure about axles. but that's not related to the engine handling the hp.
