- Meat lover's pizza has long represented peak excess on a pie. But what happens when you swap out plain old pepperoni and sausage for oxtail, pork belly, bacon, and chicharrón? On this episode of Pizza Wars, host Nicole Russell faces off against Mokbar's Esther Choi to see who can create the ultimate carnivore's feast. Auntie Esther’s pizza looked like the kind of pizza I want.
this show is great, and I feel like the "competitive" angle of the production doesn't suit the rest of the vibe, Nicole is so supportive and excited to try the guests' pizza. It should just lean into the wholesome. I'm watching either way!
It just feels so awkward for the host to win on her own shown agains the guest.

When I think "Meat Lovers" types of pizza, I only expect sauce, cheese, & meat on the pie. Anything else takes it away from "Meat Lovers" imho.

Same. At first I thought this show would be bringing out specialists for each type of thing like it used to be.. like a shop owner who specializes in the best New York slice, or whatever.. but it's clear they're just bringing on random people and asking them to make random pizzas.
There's no order, or even a purpose. I mean come on.. a meat lovers pizza featuring spam? Where's the sense of competition that this show was founded on?

So great to see Esther! Personally, the Korean pizza is doing it for me. Nicole's pie looked fabulous...but almost too much...which is weird, when you think about it going up against an Army pizza. Well done everyone, including the world renowned judge...Mr. Wareheim.

At my job as a Chef at Crackr Berral I smell each food item before giving it to a waitres. I sniff as hard as possible so I can smell your food before you eat it. Sometimes my nose touches your food if I get to close. You are eating food that has been sniffed by me hard

I am watching the new Netflix show *Iron Legend* and Auntie Esther Choi BEAT Iron Chef Samuel Michaelsson!!!! I was so proud of her. (I know Uncle Roger is somewhere yelling *Fuyooooooooiiuuuuu* ) 😁
I love these competitions, but to be fair to both people making the pizza it would be good for them to know before choosing what to make what the judge does not like. Not for this video but I saw some previous videos where the judge had some specific things they didn't like which didn't seem to be known prior to the people making the pies. It just makes it a bit more fair to them to know ahead of time if the judge dislikes certain ingredients.
Dr. Jimes Tooper taught me things about the universe. He would do this with me every night. Know he has taught me about meat lovers. Now im the #1 Beef boy

Can't go wrong with Oxtail and the Kurobuta Coins were Interesting as that's something I've not seen prior---but it feels like this one was hemmed in by being one of the Ooni eps as the nature of this really feels like there was room to flex more thoroughly with Chicago style, Detroit style, Colorado style, etc.
