Sure they don't have the story of the main game, but that is a plus of the main game. For instance eventhough animated cutscenes, the opponent throwing things at you/ using weapons on you in other ways in the midde of the song, and having the arrows in the middle of the screen have all already been done before in mods, that did not make the Weekend Update any less amazing or undervalued it. Frankly, I am curious to see what other gimmicks will be in the main game. For example, would damaging notes like with Vs Tricky or health drain like with Vs Tabi be implemented? I can't wait to see!
I slept on this game after Week 6 dropped and suddenly got the urge to replay it yesterday and realized I decided to play on the same day they release a new update after 3 YEARS? It's so good to be back! I hope you saw the game over screen in Weekend 1, it's so dope.
Makes me realize It would be cool to get a FNF animated show or movie, with the same energy and fight scenes with the music and everything. The new level was worth the wait for me!

18:00 Basically, if you press R while in-game you will die but that’s mostly because it’s the RESET button. You can disable it in the settings if you go in Gameplay and scroll down until you see "Disable Reset Button". So you probably used the WASD keys and accidentally missed one and instead pressed R.
@@trouslinabone You know how hard mode is fully charted whereas easy and normal mode are missing notes in some places? It's basically like that, Erect Mode has the new songs but it is missing some notes, whereas Night mode has the new songs fully charted.
@@trouslinaboneErect mode is not fully charted in all songs, and in some songs they use more straightforward note patterns to make playing the charts easier. (Spookeez is a great example of this.) Nightmare mode is the true hardest difficulty.

NIGHT (NIGHTMARE) is basically Erect Hard Mode. You're better off playing NIGHT difficulty if you want the full challenge (and I think it also changes the vocals a bit? I'll have to double-check.)
I love these new modes, you're not copying the opponents anymore, you're adding to their music, which just makes the songs so much better, and they were all already great before. Really appreciating all of the effort and work they put into this game. It was absolutely worth the three year wait, even though it doesn't feel like it's been that long. I really hope they take this game far, and I hope new mods get released to, I adored the Tricky mod and Hypno mod, they were so damn good! For those who don't have any knowledge on the story of Pico: After he graduated 6 years after the school shooting where he used to go to school, Pico became the field man and gun slinger of a band of mercenaries, along with two of his classmates. Nene, the suicidal girl turned aggressive assassin, and Darnell, Pico's best friend and the demolition expert (Plus pyromaniac!). Daddy Dearest hired them to eliminate Boyfriend, but the reason why Pico didn't kill him was because they actually used to date before Boyfriend started dating Girlfriend. So Pico rap battles BF out of pure nostalgia and lets him go. But ummm- I think the update tells what happened after those events.

A decent taste of an update before the Full Game, just know, don't leave Mario's Madness in the dust like that Ryan, you still have to finish it, some people here know it. Out of the other mods, you came back to the game to play it. After all, you named it being "good you had to come back to the game".
It's a great Mod don't get me wrong, But it's Songs are not catchy enough to "Want" to continue playing it, The OG Fnf Game got as popular as it did because of it's God-like Music, Not JUST the silly Animations and Characters lol. In the end no Mod will ever be as amazing as OG Fnf when it comes to pure "Enjoyable" Music, There's not a single Song that feels lackluster in it man xD

Those two 'new' characters facing against Pico are Darnel and Nene, both of which appear in the old Newgrounds stuff with Pico and they're friends of his. Darnell's an arsonist and Nene well... she likes pain. In FNF they're a group of assassins and you already know the rest. There's so much about Pico as a character before FNF that you likely don't even know man.

Those two 'new' characters facing against Pico are Darnel and Nene, both of which appear in the old Newgrounds stuff with Pico and they're friends of his. Darnell's an arsonist and Nene well... she likes pain. In FNF they're a group of assassins and you already know the rest. There's so much about Pico as a character before FNF that you likely don't even know man.

Man, you don't know how I'm happy to see this game back. I know short it is, even for the 3 years we waited, but that's all it needed.
When I first heard the weekend 1 songs I wasn't too big of a fan, until I PLAYED it giving it a fair chance and another good listen these songs slap and the charting is really fun to play! (Especially the new "Erect" difficulty remixes.)
