- Hello. In this video I will do two experiments with this hydrogen generator. I will make a wet cell from a water filter with 9 316L stainless steel plates with 2 plus and 1 minus contacts. I want to see what is the difference of amps consumed with a distance of 2 mm between the plates and with a distance of 1 mm. As electricity I used 12V from a car battery. For electrolysis we used distilled water and potassium hydroxide. Following the experiment we found that it consumed 4 amps with a distance between 2 mm boards. After changing the distance between the stainless steel plates from the same hydrogen generator from 2 to 1 mm I noticed that the amps doubled. The next comparison will be between a dry cell and a wet cell.

So the closer they are, the more amps equal, more gas.
The bottom line is: the more amperage the more gas? Or do you know what’s the most efficient way to produce gas? What is the biggest thing to keep in mind? The distance of the plates between each other’s? The area covered by the plates in relation to the amount of whatever or the amperage/voltage? Or just the amperage?

Thank you. I've never used it but it works. The best idea is to use a high voltage and few amps. 220V DC
AC generates Steam outright, as far as I understand and we need DC to seperate Hydrogen & Oxygen. Even with DC, with higher voltages, heat will be generated and material will be leeched too

The problem is not to make the GENERATOR itself ... but the electrolyte used.
I tried caustic soda (Na 0H) dissolved in water.
Electrode (stainless steel) - quickly "dissolves" (a few minutes) and the liquid becomes turbid and quickly turns into "mud" ...
I do same. Did you find solution
This also increases the risk of a short circuit. Absolutely... don't forget to put a proper fuse in the power supply circuit!!!

May I know what is the purpose to have more neutral plates compared to positive and minus?
you could have increased the amount of electrolyte in the water and this would have increased the amps with the 2mm gap, it takes very little electrolyte in the water with the 1mm gap to get good amps.
It can be done with a more concentrated electrolyte but you do not get the same results. I wanted to see the results with the same electrolyte but with different distances. Thanks for the advice

I am working in see how much is the maximal critic presure to produce HHO safety.
At moment I did experiments that shows that you can produce the two gasses H2 and O2 at 2,5 bar without problems. Keeping the electrolysis temperature atmosphere under 45 ºC. So HHO can leaves the generator container and be used with a flame arrestor for produce a nice flame torch for example.
Did you work in this area? How much is maximal pressure that you use in the HHO generation?

I haven't done much experimentation on this. I think my generators can withstand up to 8-10 bar. I did not apply a pressure higher than 1.5 bar

You need to do a better experiment to get more valuable results. Make a 2mm gaped and a 1mm gaped generator that have the same number and configuration of plates, but with different size of plates so as they conduct the same current. I guess you need to make the 1mm gaped generator with half sized plates to get the same current as the 2mm gaped generator. then u need to accurately measure the amount of gas produced with your l/min gage. This experiment defines the more efficient design. I guess the 2mm design is more efficient, because it makes less dense gas bubbles between plates, and you have more usable area to conduct current and make gas. Also consider that smaller sized plates make more current leakage than bigger ones. To get a more accurate result from this experiment, you need to make dry cell generators.

Las placas neutras también tienen corriente y producen gas, es un ajuste del amperaje mecánico
Не вижу смысла подключать пару контактов на пластины . В электролизёре все пластины должны быть задействованы , всё зависит от количества подачи тока , мало тока мало пластин , много тока больше пластин . На такую колбу и с малым током можно было подключить всего две пластины и всё бы работало . Удачи .

In the first part I have two 1 mm gaskets and in the second I have only one door. In a wet cell it works 1 mm quite well while in a dry cell it doesn't work very well

Why it should use netral plates? How if All plates just plus and minus?
Need neutral plates to bring down voltage down to 2 volts from 12. Any more than 2 volts is energy lost to heat. Need 7 plates for SIX SPACES. 12Volts÷6 spaces=2 volts per space between plates. Square cm of 1 plate per cell ÷0.084= Amperage. Need 10 amp for 4.0 litre engine, 15amp for 6 litre, etc.

I made another project but without nutral plates... And it was seven plates+ and seven - but the problem is when i connected it to 12 v battery the current was too high, 100 A and ir ruined the wires.. Can u explain to me why thats happened?
You need neutral boards, no matter how much battery power. Add two or three neutral plates to each other. The generator you made drew too much current, too many amps, adding neutral boards decreases its consumption.
