Whisky .com tastes the GlenGoyne 18 years. The Glenoyne distillery was bought by the independent bottler Ian McLeod. Glengoyne has one of the slowest distilleries there are in Scotland. This means the alcohol can separate better than in a faster distilling speed.
The nose:
Complex, with dark flavours, sherry, slightly sweet.
The taste:
Round, little sweet, intense, spicy, marzipan, marmalade
The finish:
Long, warm and dry.

I just love Horst's mischievous look whenever he brings out the hidden miniature for tasting
Germans don't like to waste money
I visited the distillery yesterday and got a wonderful tour. We ended u buying several bottles in their store. Very soft but tasty whiskey.
Good review mate.
One of my go to bottles. Hope to visit this distillery next year.
This is a WONDERFUL dram. At the 80 USD I bought it for last week, I will buy a few more. It's not a sherry monster, but it is extremely balanced and rounded and goes down dangerously smoothly. The cask selection by the distiller was outstanding. Tasting notes from Glengoyne are spot on. The 21 and 25 are far far far more interesting, but for frequent tasting, the 18 is perfect.
badkid73 frequent tasting indeed. Haha, as you said, goes down easy. Cheers.
The price has doubled to $160 now. These positive reviews are killing affordability!!
Tasting this with you, solid dram! cheers Horst!
Your reviews are tops!
As aways, a great review!
I love this bottle.
Sounds interesting! Thanks
I thank you for watching
2018 bottling here
It's a bit sulphury to the taste, but not too much, and harsh on the nose
spicy vanilla and apple are on point....but I expected it to be more smooth
Is it because of the first fill sherry casks or did I get a bad bottle?
Whisky.com Hi horst. I have a dilema..
Which one of the 3 is more enjoyable...
I have the glenlivet which is wonderfull and i want something even more so do i should take the DALMORE 18, GLENGOYNE 18 or Glendronach 15. I aware they are too different from each other but i want advice for 1 of these 3 options. Its important for me
What he said in Glenlivet 18 in his review: "If you want to do yourself a favor, this is the right one."
