    I like your informative reviews. Really appreciated for Pointing out the unpleasant bitterness after taste in some whisky , and this helps in spending $$$ on a bottle of scotch. Scotch whisky is new to me, and I enjoyed some good scotch that Without bitterness (Who wants bitterness in Life).

    Bought a large bottle today. The sales clerk wouldn't let me carry it to the counter due to the hefty price tag, and the clerk behind the counter looked slightly amazed when inspecting the rather huge box it came in. Felt a bit like a special occasion. :D
    Really looking forward to tasting it - just have to get over my sore throat and cold first..

    I have the Glendronach 21 and as I said in your review of it. It is the best Scotch I have ever had the pleasure to experience. I'm going to buy a sample of the Glengoyne 21 and look forward to comparing side by side. How do you compare the two of them??

    • @falkskorea7941
      @falkskorea7941 5 лет назад +2

      The Glendronach 21 Parlament is an absolute masterpeace. The difference between the both is the PX and the 48% alcohol in the Glendronach, which makes it more sweet and heavy. But they are really close to each other. Love them both!

    • @WhiskyWhims

      I would say the GlenDronach 21 is better than the Glengoyne but then I would also say that the GlenDronach 18 is even better than both :)

    • @Balduin-di9hl
      @Balduin-di9hl 5 лет назад +6

      I would recomend the Glendronach over the Glengoyne because right now the 21 year old Glendonach has even older whisky in it because of supply shortages. Also the Glendronach is a real jewl. It is by far the best sherry whisky i ever had.

      @@Balduin-di9hl That's what has me leaning that way... I missed out on the 18 here and can't get it, and now hear the 21yo is running low before that too will be gone from the market for awhile, like the 15 was... here in Sweden the prices are comparable, but the Glendronach is a little cheaper... actually about €10-15 cheaper.

    • @axetwogrind
      @axetwogrind 4 года назад

      They are very different....really not comparable. This Glengoyne is deep and rich with dark fruit notes where the Dalwhinnie is much more of a light crisp fruit note.

    does 21 years in firstfill cask was too strong for this mid-long term maturation? I still remember macallan 10 years cask strength or even NAS version were bombing everything. Considering glengoyne locate in south of macallan, the sherry wood infect will be even more unless the cask quality is far poorer than Macallan CS.
