If I know about it in advance next year, I might take it in, as my 60+ years of RC experience might come in handy for someone. i know some kid who lost his plane or one who doesn't have one, having a friend like you to help him or her make one. would be like a baby duckling being imprinted. you will have someone be a life long RC fan and continue on the experience to their family and so on. thats what happen with my father and thats what happened with me. So go for it Bill, make some younglings enjoy the hobby and continue this ritual.
I've watched this channel develop its now a culture ,and how awesome it is ..in a world of some rather unsavoury overly serious stuff ,this is pure fun , it's an RC revolution.

My son and I have bonded over building and flying Flite Test airplanes for the last 7 years, with the Blood Baron being his all-time favorite plane to fly. Saturday, June 22 was one of my favorite days ever, flying in all three combats and having an absolute blast! - Chris in New York.
The most fun 4 days I’ve ever had! You guys really know how to do an event. Probably my favorite part was flying my Flex RV8 in the monster parade next to Ben Harbors C47. See you guys next year!
I love the way you look to include the kids. I was at the local flying field last weekend and there was only one child out with his dad. The kid, one other adult and myself flew our UMX Radians around in a "Show of No Power". The father told me the kid talked about it all night.
That was totally crazy Josh! You guys put on such a great event and it looks like so much fun, as I know it is! Tell Peter that giant plane he made was fantastic! Y’all just bounced off it. To make things really crazy, I wonder if they could get Dave to come back across the water. I have never forgotten Dave and Josh in the episode "Rocket Plane"!
@@bentsprockettech I remember the "mad scientist" laughter from that episode. Dave was leading the way, but Josh was a very willing participant! And their joining together with the altered verse from Elton John's "Rocketman" just finished the CRAZY off perfectly. Aw! Memories!
I was thinking that they would designate airspace for fighting, and anything that flew out of a tight fighting zone would be targets home made anti air systems. For that to happen, someone would have to figure out how to regulate them to keep things safe.
@@buttieboy666 Don't forget apples and tomatoes as well! Get a bunch of small potatoes and make a "bird shot" out of it to give more spread. Oooooh, can't forget water balloons and golf balls! Giant slingshots, foxtails.... the foxtails might be good for fouling the propellers even if the ball of it misses....

I'm thinking either a "Spruce Goose" for next year or (to continue the War Birds theme) a monster B-29 or B-36. Should actually be fairly easy foam-board builds for the bombers since the fuselage is basically a tube.

This is pretty cool. It looks like some of those long running larp events. And those Larp events have been around for a long enough time to be considered a company. Having all volunteers says a lot.
Digital? Crystals must surely be archaic by now and a waste of bandwidth... Modern controller stuffs must be a *lot* lighter + I assume they send serial-signals on very narrow channels, even with loads of separate servos per plane. (But that is a LLOOTT of planes...)
Ik but I wanna do my own channel gotta pay for the foam the 3d printers the electric bill to use the stuff bills period camera and equipment land and etc. It cost alot to do what they do
@@earthsciteach Still kickin n scratchin my friend. Hows the pilots license thing going? You still able to fly in this economy the way things are? I migrated away from flying for the most part. I don't feel comfortable anymore whether flying legal or not if some busy body Karen, or Jonny Law having a bad day could walk up at any given moment and cause problems. Not to mention I would NEVER support nor use RID on anything over laws that were illegally established and financially motivated for corporations in politicians pockets. Add to that different entities vying for power in the hobby partnering and promoting companies I can no longer as an American Vet ever get behind or buy into.

This year was better than lasts years but I cant wait until next year I have a feeling it just keeps getting better every year. Not even huge into flying rc throughout the year I maybe fly 100 packs through the year. 75 of those packs are flown at flitefest.

@8:00 the flying Turtle was spectacular! The backflips close to the ground made me gasp!
By next year we will have to get a 21st century air battle going with some active Sam sites and air to air missiles!
