I would like to let you know that I honestly have been getting tired of a lot of the music in the fandom and was close to just giving up on pony music entirely. But I listened to this back in late May and my faith was restored. I honestly think this is so far the best song in 2014 of anything I've listened to, pony or nonpony. Generally this style of music is cliche but no you somehow turned an overdone style into something so amazing, so magical. You could almost say this song changed my life and standpoint of things.

It’s always odd to look back. I never heard this when it was made, I hadn’t even heard of it until about a year ago. Yet the first time I heard it, I started crying.
It’s odd to think that this is a song that helped Vylet keep making songs, and encouraged others to make music in general. Yet, I wasn’t around to hear it when it came out.
After the series end, we’re all lacking something, and all of these old songs just hit so much harder. I’m just so glad I get to listen.
Wow, I never knew that about Vylet. Aviators also told me this is still his favorite brony song. I'm amazed at how many people are able to relate to it. However, there is a newer version that's much easier on the ears. You might want to check that one out, too. ^^

Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it. This song is very relevant to my life and the bum decisions to seek 'greener pastures'. Living in a place where I feel like a 'fish out of water', broken, insecure, lonely, and most of all, regretful of my bad choices I've made in this move to this new location. Oh well, maybe someone will see through my fake smiles and maybe have some compassion. Just got to get my act together (again), just suck it up, and motor on I guess...........Thanks 4everfreebrony.

This, by far is one of the best songs I have ever heard. I've listened to nothing that compares, be it from the fandom or just what's trending on the radio. It brings tears to my eyes. I know you wrote it about Trixie, but it reminds me of myself in a lot of ways. I think this will be one of the only songs on RUclips I will ever actually pay for. It's one of only two I've found worth it.

I know it may still be some time yet until you read this (or perhaps your family is keeping up with all the comments, in which case, Hi! Good wishes and health to all of you!), but I had to come back to listen again and put this in my favorites (I have not yet purchased the album and I vehemently refuse to pirate or otherwise download it through means other than what's provided) because it made such an impact on me that, more than half a year later and despite only listening to it maybe twice, I am still remembering its melody and in love with it.

Funny story about this song.
I live with basically my adopted grandparents though we're not related. One evening before dinner their granddaughter had been playing Let It Go on the piano. I just couldn't stand having Let It Go stuck in my head, so I started playing this, a nice catchy song, on my phone. It's also a chance to show off music that I love! Grandpa, in his 80s and nearly deaf by the way, says this:
Grandpa: "You know, this really isn't the kind of music I would choose to listen to."
Me: [pause, then an incredulous laugh] "Really? What kind of music _would_ you listen to then?"
Grandpa: "Oh, I like the nice stuff from the 50s or 60s, that had lyrics that actually had meaning and wasn't just some guy screaming at the top of his lungs-"
Me, growing more and more confused: "Are we listening to the same thing?"
Grandpa, who had never stopped talking: "-and with all the people screaming at concerts you can't hear them anyway. I can't account for taste but that to me is just not good. If everyone-" [continues rant]

I grew up in a life that wasn't very happy. I had hard time making friends and was picked on alot. I tried my best to fit in but it was like I was wasting my time. It sucked. I still only have one friend.
