    This was AMAZING. Me and the MIT Rocket Team were screaming in excitement as the Mechazilla arms caught the booster. It's so awesome that we get to live in this era!

      @@coconut7490 that’s what blows my mind. Like Bezos said recently in an interview with Tim Dodd, “space flight is a solved problem, we solved it 60 years ago. It’s the cost that we’re still figuring out.” Another massive step for rapid scaled reusability.

    I watched the catch happen and still can hardly believe it, looked like something from an old scifi movie. I really thought it would be a near miss but it went absolutely perfectly and seemed to polished considering it was a first attempt. SpaceX engineers just reaffirmed how far they are ahead of the competition, absolutely outstanding work, history has been made there today.

    2:30:46 the plasma buildup between the booster engines on reentry is amazing. the air slams against the thrustpuck and is trapped between the ring of 20 engines

      I did the same thing, I have professional projects to work on. Your not alone, i stayed up last night for work. So i winded up missing the launch as well. The launches is how we reward ourselves, at least with youtube there is those that puts in the work to lend a hand.

    I saw the Saturn V rockets take off on a black and white TV back then. Now I see the booster being caught by the chopsticks and Starship coming back in all this in colour via the internet. Great to experience all this.

      @sc1338 China is leading the world in solar power production, maglev and high speed trains, EV production, a counterpoint to US economic leverage, and ambitious plans to colonize the moon. Pretty good.
      Spacex is heroicaly showing a possibility for success for reusable spacecraft. China will show us how to mass produce them whatever form it takes.

    Watching that Super Heavy land was amazing, how easy they pulled that. It looked like they been doing tower landings for years.
    That being said ... Elon add a fire suppresion arm to the tower, that fire was scary.
