- My newest purchase? a $18,000 DODGE DEMON! How's it going so far? Really, REALLY BAD...
WATCH FOR DEMON PARTS GIVEAWAY DETAILS THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO!
Last episode we tore the drivetrain out of this hellcat Demon and found out the damage was MUCH worse than anticipated. The transmission? Completely destroyed, not a single part to salvage... The chassis? Up for debate (is it though?) The engine? Let's find out today!
Sitting on top the Mopar pyramid (Hellcats, Scat Packs, 392's... You know it's true) is this 808hp Supercharged Demon engine, it's clearly going to need some work, but will it be a total loss or will there be SOMETHING we can salvage and rebuild!?

🥲
@@scraplifegarage It's okay, you make money off us watching anyway lol, win win. Enjoyed the video and waiting for more.
Omg why would u waste 17k lol oh its just money
i really want to defend and support his purchase but i don’t believe theres any possible way to 😂
Lmao the demon can go for up to 80k i bet u he ends up making money if he sells it when hes done rebuilding 😂
Man if you rebuild this to its almost original state, you deserve some special recognition or medal from Dodge itself.
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. Can’t wait to watch this series!
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision… Can’t wait to see more.
Likewise 👍
Likewise 👍
Ive worked for dodge for 19 years and i dont think it was a bad financial decision i think the rarity of these cars should be brought back to life everytime someone gets a chance to bring them back to life or these cars will be gone forever! I support the cause 100%
this crispy thing is a pos
“Chain hang low” will be sick with that chain just for the name
Just a little heads up, when you remove or install the rocker shafts you should do each bolt a little at a time. Start with the middle and alternate to either side of the middle “walking” it on or off. This will help prevent bowing/bending the rocker shaft.
I think that bolts on blower cover were actually properly torqued down, but since all of that heat destroyed gasket/sealer I would guess that the bolts "lost" their torque and for that reason you feel like they are hand tight.
Yea that's what I thought. If they were that loose before the fire the blower would have probably leaked.
Im saying lock tight as u heat up bolts uno
Yea n gasket with that amount of play
Without a doubt, this was a great buy! You should have Dodge tell you how many Demons were configured like this one and you should find out what number Demon this is in the run. Can't wait to watch the rest of this build!
You blind?
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision.
Great series so far looking forward to seeing what you can do with it!
This Dodge Demon was definitely not a bad idea. I'm looking to build my first Mopar and you are giving me hope to go ahead and buy a totalled Hellcat. Thanks so much.
I definitely believe that you did a good thing in buying this beast. Motor isn't that bad. I think that you can get the job done!!
This series introduced me to your channel and i love how you laid out all the parts on a table like that your videos are awesome!
I absolutely love your tear down . Great job.
Can't wait to see where you take this build!!
This Demon 😈 was definitely not a bad financial decision.
hes taking it to the scrap yard.
This demon was definitely not a bad final decision! I been watching since you got it and plan to see it the day it runs/drives again!
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. i cant wait to see more of this series i myself love taking things apart and rebuilding them and my dream is to open some sort of scrapyard garage or sum it would be awesome keep up the great work.
Inertia Motorsports in Texas does Mopar, stroker builds and the works.
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad financial decision. Love the videos!! Cant wait for the next video on this demon!!
I love this car. I would love to see the build of the engine. Please make one for the weekend mechanics like me.
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision!!!
I stumbled upon ur page tonight and I’m hooked!!! I need a piece of that demon!!!!!! Can’t wait to watch more!! ❤❤
The two plugs are to help cut down on carbon build up from the Hemi head. Basically the split the load to ensure all the fuel is properly burnt. That’s also why they sit in the head the way they do.
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision! I’m loving these videos keep it up man 💪❤️
I've been really enjoying this series, it's been really cool seeing the engine completely stripped and understanding how everything works, thank you for this dope ass content man
20k this definitely was not a good decision
your clearly a monkey look up how much he can sell it for
@@thefoodcan
This Demond was definitely not a bad financial decision. I’m actually really excited you’re doing this. I’ve always wanted to undertake a challenge like this but never have had the opportunity to or the space. So im glad I can watch you do it from the luxury of my phone.
this demon was definitely an awesome buy, love this series
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision. Love this series the demon is my all time dream car
Very relaxing to see how you dismantle that engine. 👌
This Demond was definitely not a bad financial decision. I am really exited to see how this turns outs. I want to try doing stuff like this in the future.
RIP KEN BLOCK fly high we loved him
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision, and if anybody can restore it to former glory, it's you boys. Can't wait to watch this revival
this demon was definitely not a bad decision!

This Demon was definitely not a bad final decision!
I'm glad the Devil made you do it and you went ahead with the purchase.
I'm hooked and loving the teardown videos. Looking forward to seeing you summon this Demon in the future \m/
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision... Lol! Keep up the good work...
Good content gents...all the suck going on in the world, this is just what the Dr. ordered! Thanks for sharing and you got me excited to see this build completed.
Never thought i would say this but man this video of you taking apart the engine was seriously sooooooo satisfying ❤
This was in fact a great financial decision can’t wait to see how this series goes
Lol
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision. P.s. I’m super glad I came across the first video in the series the other day, immediately subscribed
Same here,i think he got a pretty good amount of new subscribers because of this car
@@housestark45 yeah I just found his channel and subbed. I watched DIY Gang aka Jose a couple years ago rebuild a fully cooked HellCat and he did an amazing job with it so it definitely can be done and I can't wait to see this car back on the road.
@@prophez23 if you're enjoying watching this kind of stuff then you should definitely check out Junkyard dave's hellwagon, he's building an AWD Charger magnum that he made from scratch
Same here guys love Mopar
I love these types of videos from a mechanics perspective
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision... Most of that engine is pretty decent lol and the shell is somewhat useable... so I believe in you in this project and I really wanna see more of this. Hopefully at least 3 of the STR wheels are fixable. Also I hate Nissan jukes... legit... lmao. Honestly having a piece of a dodge demon blown up transmission is the closest I'll have of owning something of my dream car... that gear would look beautifull in my desk and would be a good story teller.
Did you just say $800 For 1 rim one ????????😳😳
Like he said, $800 is not that bad! Some oem Lexus rims are $3000 each at the dealership. An aftermarket Vossen or Velgen rim, goes for about $2500... and all those are not the most expensive ones out there, either! 😅
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. it was a horrendous financial decision
somewhat true
Engine is a complete win! can't wait to see where this is going as this has become very exciting 😂
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. Honestly just found these videos and subscribed just so i can see what happens over the next episodes. Also i would love to know more about how the supercharger works in one of these. Also OINK!
2:20 what the hell is going on here.
LMAO 🤣
👀
I HATE NISSAN JUKESSSSSSSSS
Damn it. I should have known you would comment twice!
Keep it!! It’s a Demon!!! Looking forward to it coming back to life!!
Wow at the rod bearings super clean water must of got in while sitting at the junkyard Not while it was being driven impressive
You got me hooked I want to see how this turns out
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. Challengers in general are my dream cars so i love this series
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision!!!
Can't wait to see you rebuild this beast
I thought the engine was trash when you take out oil drain bolt I was full of water in the engine it's dead but seeing you taking the engine apart looks pretty good and I hopefully the supercharger is not to bad of a danger 🤞
This dodge demon was definitely not a bad financial decision! Good luck on the project, this is definitely a gift that keeps on giving 😂🤟
This Dodge Demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision!! Looking forward to this series and my piece of molten Dodge Demon ;D
Looking good 👍🏽!!! Can't wait to see what's next 😀!!!
Can't believe I haven't seen this channel. New subscriber..love it
Wow crank case looks pretty good with the amount of water that was in that oil pan

Two spark plugs is primarily for emissions purposes, but can help with power slightly. The Semi-hemispherical shape on the modern hemi heads benefit significantly from an increase in flame propagation (combustion speed), which can be accomplished by initiating combustion in two locations. This consistently provides a full burn, which reduces net emissions, and can of course squeeze a bit more power out of the same amount of fuel.
Can't wait to see the car finished
The pulley is like new alternators. It's to help with belt slap and belt slip when letting off the throttle
That looks Amazing its gonna be a sweet build !
gotta play demon time for the timing chain 😂
This demon definitely wasn't a bad financial
decision. Also hate Nisaan Jukes.. Got hooked on the series.. I can't wait to see the whole thing 🔥
The VIN can help find similar engine and transmission parts and are other parts at a junk yard or from another car with a similar engine or transmission number.
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision. Love the channel!
Ok this was a great buy ! Can’t wait to see the end results !
I’m glad that you saved a rare Mopar treasure. Her story makes her even more rare and beautiful now.
This is really entertaining man.
Block and crank looks pretty good other then that one Piston wall not bad at all
The guy over at The Hoof GP is your doppelganger..!! SERIOUSLY‼️
You should get a restoration expert. Cheaper than specific parts experts they will clean every square inch of anypart even sandblasting it until usable. Then lubricating it, painting it or even restoring it to factory condition.
This demon was definitely not a bad financial decision. Great videos looking forward to the rest.
Those of u who r curious, Aluminum has a melting point of 1,220°F, so the fact it melted a bit on the engine is insane
The engine teardown I've been waiting for for ages
Can't wait for the next episode‼️
Very interesting this project…. Hope it will go on.
Hey I just subscribed, cool content and it great to see another Maryland Yutuber, keep up the great work
Love that piece of art Ill never own one but I can dream nice vid
Also Mopar has been notorious the past few years for OVER/UNDER torquing of bolt. My 2019 Hemi needed a new engine at just 65k mi due to improper torque of head bolts
Keep with this one, the only thing Is I love the paint on the drivers side
I never been into cars mechanic and I dont know much, but what im watching is super interesting...
Beautiful engineering / technology...
Love these vids man
I just subscribed, second video I watched can't wait to watch the ending of the world cheapest demon rebuild.
I bought a hell cat with a blown Motor and body damage , Was the Best Buy in my life . Already back on the road . I also have a shaker rebuild . I have rebuilt 5 mopars in the last 5 years . They are the best to rebuild
Awesome show 📺

This Demon Definitely wasn’t a bad financial decision! Cant wait to see what you do!
This demon was not a bad financial decision! Can't wait for a build series
Lots of goodies for this demon can be found In Az I have seen hundreds of these at like a dozen junkyards in a 100 mile radius of me
Good on you for trying to save that car
This was Mat Armstrong good in terms of quality! Keep it up bro!!
I can’t wait till you get it 💯
This demon definitely was a bad finial decision, but cool so worth it
This demon was definitely not a bad finantial decision. The dodge demon is my favourite car!
im assuming the supercharger pulley locks up when the engine is revving up but unlocks when the engine is revving down probably to allow the supercharger to slow down at a slower rate.
Love the work ! Just an idea perhaps you can make it a convertible...?😎👍
The crank stands on its end, never long wise like you have it! It could warp!
Please stand that crank up!!!!!
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision. Just subscribed , A must watch
This demon definitely wasn’t a bad finial decision… Can’t wait to see more.
Man, I am having heart palpitations thinking about how your gonna send the motor to the machine shop to rip it up from stock when all it needs is a good hone job. Im crying in my hands!!
Looks pretty good you know what surprises me is that it's a 2 bolt main you would think something like that that has that kind of horsepower would have 4 bolt main chaps
