- The C5 Corvette Z06 is a dream car for many. Finding one stashed away in a storage unit for dirt cheap. How could it get any better? The catch is, this corvette z06 hasn’t run in more than 3 years. Also, it doesn’t have a key. Minor details for the Corvette Z06 enthusiasts.
Well, a daunting task it turned out to be to get this corvette z06 back on the road. Basic maintenance items like tires, oil, and new fuel are on the top of the list. Old Andrew is a good dude. He tuned my z06 yrs ago through a couple of renditions and fixed a few problems to. Great guy to work with and one funny batman

I'd love this car. Right model, right color, right mods, perfect output....just went under surgery so can afford to bid.....sucks
On the front of that trailer put a lockable aluminum battery box with dual 6V batteries wired in series for 12v then put on a $25 solar panel on the lid to keep them charged and you won't have dead winch batteries and lots of power. ....at 25:55 and on looks like it has had a bumper and headlight cover paint work.

Awesome! I had this car in a 2004 LeMans Edition. Same Nitto 305's out back. Always wished for more power like this. If I had known, we would never see $27,000 cars again, I would have risked it all for a blower. Or I would have atleast kept the dang car. Back in the day, like in 2003, when we were all on "Car Domain" site, some guy had one with the hood cut out for a chrome Magnussen. So many cars like that were so fun to watch online, but to do it, another thing. A guy in Corvette Mag, had the procharger up to 650, and said the clutch was really his toughest problem. Thanks.

I lost my c5 keys out of state on a sunday at a race once. Found out u can disassemble the ignition in about 20 mins and dont need a key anymore haha

When a car sits for so long, you have to keep cranking and let the seals warm and and build compression I think. That is why it probably wasn’t starting at first.
The 50th anniversary corvette C5 Z06 was red in color.
It’s just the 2003 model year.

Spray the intake with fuel, if it runs, you probably haven't disabled the VATS.

Break it in good w/ the wheel jack scratch. once I had a oil pressure drop I pulled the pan and found factory silicone gasket material that worked its way off inner pan on assembly then stuck itself onto the oil pump screen. mid 90's car Ford Mustang.

I believe those make 405, 350+ to the rear wheels.
Its easy to check injectors with ohm meter ! Just pull the plug and check the resistance.. look online for the injectior resistance pending what size.

And thought smoke grey C6 ZR1 in last video was dope until that modified blue C5 Z06 came along plus it was in storage unit guessing previous owner stop paying for storage or someone bid on unit won it didn't come back for goods.

Could be loose tolerances or a high volume oil pump not a high pressure one. I rather have a high volume pump instead of a high pressure one

I’ve heard about low oil pressure in this engine so do you run heavier oil or put a oil pump in it ?

These LS engines can get ring gap at 30 thou and run stock intermals to 1000hp easy
That sale seems a little dishonest. No keys, sitting in a storage unit for years, and delayed transfer of title. Sounds a bit like it might've been a storage unit auction that the guy won or something similar is going on.
