Thank you very much. There is a very important detail not precise in the video: THE Generative Xls file MUST BE in the same emplacement as the CATIA file. If not, the macro will display an error and fail to import points to CATIA. This happened to me, I have understood the problem later. I share the idea with whose are concerned by this problem.
This tutorial is great and it worked for my R21 catia release, but in R28 version is not working. After i click "ok" in macro, it shows up a table writing: "Microsoft Visual Basic for Aplication License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment." Please do you know which license is required for this operation ?

I want to trim a specified portion of the imported airfoil in Catia but the trim option seems not working(nor the eraser)....any idea what to do as I need to put a stepping on the aerofoil for analysis

@@user-yj6qe8we8u Hi, I found out that "type mismatch" error is linked to the fact that the "." operator in the numbers impact the fact that the cells are considered as text and not as numbers. To avoid that just select all the list and click on the warning sign + click on convert to number. Then launch the macro, it now shoul dbe working. Hope i helped you.
I am trying to import this airfoil to ansys from catia after did some modification, should I fill the profile and import these as an surface to ansys to do make cfd analysis??
Yes.. Exactly! Extrude the profile and export it to ANSYS if you want to simulate a 3D wing OR just the fill the profile to make it as surface for carrying out a 2D simulation.
@Farhan @Ratna The macro code you are talking about is a separate Excel file you need to download. You can download it from my blog, I have given the link in the description.

I know I'm late, I leave this here for the future. Just found the solution to that. You probably are not inside the part. You have to have the part open in catia. Check if for example you have the product open (instead of the part).
Hello, when you click on any airfoil, you'll see an option named - "Send to airfoil plotter" on the right side. After that, click on download "CSV file of coordinates" There you go :D
Hello, that's an error related to Excel/MS Office. I am sorry, but I haven't come across it ever. Try re-installing your MS Office (if you have downloaded it or using pirated version). Me too. I solved by viewing Macros again and choosing CreationSpline instead of Main
