Why’d I Buy A TTR125?! Is It Even Fun?!

  • The day I purchased my TTR125. I just had to know, would a TTR125 even be any fun for a full grown adult?! Well I think it's safe to say I answered that question for myself in the first day of owning the bike.

    If you're seeing old videos like this one pop up as suggested, it's because I'm re-titling and re-purposing old videos to fill in gaps in certain story arcs on the channel. These videos were actually uploaded years ago but the algorithm may or may not suggest them to you again since I've had to change certain things in the metadata and settings of the video.

    I’ve got an old Yamaha DT175 that I absolutely love. It’s slow on the road but once you are in the woods it’s a blast. It’s light and easy to handle and fast enough to be fun.

    I'm thinking about getting a ttr125 myself, but I don't want to pay the $2000 - $3000 that the nicer ones go for nowadays...

    Love my 06 klx125 (technically a suzuki 😉).
    Very tamed, but its got good power especially in that first gear when you need to crawl through some nastier terrain (I'm in the northeast where mud is our friend).
    The biggest pro of these 125 air cooled bikes is that they can suit the widest range of riders. Riders who enjoy a leisurely pace through the woods or desert will love these, while someone who rides hard in trails will find these very fun. Riders who do both will love them even more. When it comes to a 125, you have a lot of freedom as to how you want to ride it. They are hand down the ultimate play bike.

    My wife had a KLX140G, it's the model with the 21" front, 18" rear. It was a fun bike for a little while. The "cockpit" was too cramped for me to ride all day. I'm short too, 5'7 with about a 29" inseam. The footpegs are too high, even with my short legs they were still too cramped. The newer Honda 125s (playbikes) are fuel injected, they run really well.

    I wish they made a played ttr125 or klx110 they are super tini and light, quite. Which I love. And if they were plated they would be the perfect city bike along with a great little trail bike

    I've got a cr80 with a big bore xr100 motor in it, and a xr200. Both are great bikes, the cr/xr is great but a little small for long rides, the 200 is good for all day.

    Ive never ridden a dirt bike but im 5'10" and a bit over 200 LBS, is a ttr too small? Im kinda nervous about the size and power of larger bikes, but my long legs bump into the handlebars of smaller ones.

    • @TortureTestMagazine
      @TortureTestMagazine  Год назад

      It's definitely pretty small for your size. It will feel like a toy. Any of the "230" bikes from Honda, Kawasaki, or Yamaha would feel a lot more appropriate while staying completely away from any intimidating characteristics
