Enduro Riding On A TTR125 ? | Hill Climbs & Sore Spines..

In true Brokeback Dual Sport Adventure fashion, we are always swapping bikes and laughs. After hauling @sickofohio around on the rear rack of the ATC 200ES we hung out for a bit, ate lunch and waited for the buggies to arrive.
After a quick break Jeff and I decided to ditch @Tilliy2wheel and head off into the unknown exploring some abandoned oil roads finding a few mud holes and rocky terrain. I then made Jeff try out Big Red and that is where my fun started on his TTR125.
For a low powered trail bike these things are a blast and I look forward to getting my hands on one soon.

That's one big difference with riding in Ohio vs Michigan. This clay down here (in Ohio) holds water like crazy. When I use to ride the trails in Michigan it was even better after it rained (in my opinion). The soil was more sandy and loamy. After the rain in the sandy areas you had more traction and could actually go back over your route and see your slide-outs and when you roosted/etc.

Do you think a small bike like TTR 125 , DRZ 125 , KLX 110 or even KX/YZ/CR 80/85 , would be a good beginner bike for a person like me that never rode a dirt bike ?
(I have ATV experience and know how to operate clutch and gears)
