The ttr 125 was my first bike about 15 years ago. Don’t worry too much about maintenance. These suckers never die. Just put fuel in the tank, clean the air filter every few rides, Change the oil once in a while, and lube the chain if you feel like it. They’re tanks
you cant go wrong with a yamaha. Tons of fun dirt bikes are. I see you buying another one in near future because both of you will want to ride together.
Yes, 4 Stoke is correct for low maintenance. Easy to manage. Quieter. Glad you got Electric start for your daughter. lol. Wow, you have a lot to learn about transporting, ramps.. everything. lol. I am surprised your colleagues did not help you with this. Common Alex and Kase, give the man a hand. Andre, you are such a tall and well built man, you could pick that bike up and put it in the back of that little truck w/out a 6 foot ramp. Also, check into trailer hitch motorcycle carriers. You will find that superiorly more friendly for loading and unloading. Great for SUV's, .. well anything with a hitch. I have used mine on a variety of hitch vehicles and it beats the hell out of loading in and out of a truck. At least, until you start transporting 2 bikes at a time. Congrats on the 1st bike. Yamaha is what I started out on as well. 1974 Yamaha enduro. (used) This tromps my 1st bike. lol.
I bought that same bike for my wife. Along with a little bike. I used them to train many other people how to ride. First on the little one, then within a few min, the TTR. Even kids at 10 years old can easily move up to the TTR 125. Its a good all-around trainer for all ages and sizes, men women and children. Good for them riding along trails with you as they learn. Its not powerful but it will get up to a high speed so you still have to have caution with newbs. Its just fun. Roman will need at least a YZF250 for himself after a week on the TTR. A nice small trailer just big enough for two dirtbikes and some kit and a cooler will make for an awesome day with friends riding. If you have a YZF450, YZF250, TTR125, and a little 50 or 80/4 on a trailer, groups will go out with you and bring food and fun and make lots of memories.
You should do a video with "Bikes and Beards". Put yas out there to let more people know about the Bike channel. Having Andre in the video is a great idea not just because he is a likeable guy but, he also has some face recognition.
Andrea, that is a great beginners bike. I bought my kids a 2000 and just sold it like a week ago. The guy who bought it had to put a top end in it. I think that is because I never got the valves adjusted. FYI two strokes are the same maintenance, but much easier to work on. Especially when you have to do a top end. The down side to the TTR125L is the rear drum brake. It will fade out really easy once your skills improve.
Definitely recommend getting either a crf250f or ttr230 for you Andre both are great bikes that don't sit to high and they won't kill you power wise either. And don't worry they're not maintenance heavy bikes.
Rode the TTR230 at Rich Oliver’s Mystery School here in Cali (doing more MC training for my teenage son so he would be a better street riders)...very fun bike for basic off-roading. Was surprised when were were doing timed races and I dumped the clutch and got a wheelie from the start...my son asked me if I did that on purpose, unfortunately I did not. I normally ride a BMW S1000R and a R1200GSA but for off-road starter bike, I think you made a good choice.
Carbs are no more maintenance then fuel injection. Use good non ethanol clean fuel, keep airfilter clean, do not leave fuel in carb sit for months. I have had zero carb issues in past 35+ years, dirt and road bikes. As a tip, stop letting kick start slam back, omo
That’s an awesome bike for you, when you want to rotate the bike you can put the stand down and put the weight on that to turn it! Keep up the good work
Andre, glad to see you trying something new but keep your hands off those fenders. Speaking as a man who had more bad habits then I'll ever remember, get used to moving the bike around as if it had no fenders. Best of luck to you and the family.
Andre I have been riding motorcycles for 30 plus years let me know if you have any questions. I've got a lot of information. Plus I've got some good RUclips channels you could follow!
Oh, you Can get hurt on that 125 no problem. Don't think for a minute you can't, because that's when you will! (not kidding) When you're going to stop riding for a while, always shift into neutral first, then park it. Have fun, these are great for learning how to ride, and good luck!
The maintenance he is talking about is only to keep your bike in perfect condition, all you really need is an oil change once a month along with oiling the air filter
Now I am curious having just watched the other video where Andre found a KLX140 RL in stock what happened. It looked like he was going to put a deposit on the bike and go pick it up. Sounds likes that fell through.
How tall are you? My 12 year old hasn’t rode a bike since he was 7 and it was a pw80 and I’m looking at getting him something bigger for trail riding and was thinking about a TTR 125LE but don’t know if it will be big enough
@@WW-wf8tu @W W Not in every use case. I wouldn't want to have a BEV truck but a bike would certainly be cool. You don't go on roadtrips with a bike but shredding at a bike park or wherever Andre is, then plugging it into the inverter in the truck bed while you have lunch and then shred some more would be really cool. Then when the day is done you just throw it in the bed and drive home, maybe stop at a gas station but that's that. This dude for example has a really cool overclocked electric bicycle that goes 60 mph so it's basically a lightweight motorcycle: ruclips.net/video/MefhrTBQxY0/видео.html
Yes!!! More dirt bike content!!
More Andre learning on the dirt bike. ;)
The best part is the daughter snickering while filming!
Are you his daughter?
Lol! I had to laugh hearing that, but I heard the “you can do it” too! 🤣

I started on a 125cc air cooled bike. Not too long and you’ll be on an H2!
Take an American Supercamp class in Greeley you will learn all of the RIGHT skills for riding a dirt bike
Carry a plastic milk crate as a step to take the bike up. You can also place your fuel tank in it when you travel.

Cool to see a bike channel from you guys 👍

Andre, wtf were you thinking of? Remember Andre’s words “I got this one because we can’t get hurt.” Good luck buddy. 😂
Andre , hope you and your daughter have a blast

The only thing missing from TFL. This should be fun. You'll have a KTM EXC soon. Its the perfect CO bike.
So cool! And your daughter snickering in the background..😂
Never thought I would say this to TFL, but nice purchase, torture test magazine gave this a great review! And that guy actually rides
Congrats! I bought a TTR-125L in 2001 when I was 12. Wasn’t my first bike but it’s great for beginners!
Huge tip always park something like that or a 4 wheeler in neutral make it a habit

Good review. They are great bikes! Load it in the TFL Ranger next time pls:) Enjoy. Be safe.
When I sold my Polaris Predator to buy my Jeep, I had no less than 10 offers to trade for a TT-R. I politely declined all trade offers 😂
Nice! Welcome to the world of two wheels.
Ttr 125 is a very capable motorcycle. Very durable and capable of doing single track very well.
That’s an awesome bike for you, when you want to rotate the bike you can put the stand down and put the weight on that to turn it! Keep up the good work
A Russian circus bear lol ... great vid ..
This makes me wanna buy a dirt bike
Yeah i started on a little 110 and now I’m 15 with a crf 450r built to our run other 450s in the class
why does it not run like the others

Excellent video!! I’m on the same boat as you and I’m really thinking of getting this bike except I’d be loading it into my final Frontier S lol
Привет!!! I sold my 2021 kls230 and bought ttr125 l lol ! I really love it
starts first kick!
yyeaaaaaa...mine is a YZF250 , close....
Truck guy vs. dirt bike

Last dirt bike I rode was a old Kawasaki 250 2 stroke. It was a blast! To bad you can't buy a new Kawasaki 2 stroke
The dealer lied to you. HP for TTR125 is about 7hp, not 15.
Nice... Did the same with my two girls, same bike also.. great work 👍👍.
TTR'S are great bikes! Great video👍
Whoooa! Sooo awesome! I can't wait to see all the adv bike content. I vote to start with the KTM lineup :)
Congrats on the new bike. Are you going to ad a light kit?
Need a little bit bigger bike for you.
Oooohhhhhh man you gotta get tie downs please, that bike WILL fall out or over some day.
The maintenance he is talking about is only to keep your bike in perfect condition, all you really need is an oil change once a month along with oiling the air filter
“That John Denver is full of shit man”.
Had the WR250F loved it.
Best channel of #TFL yet
Hp is 9 lol, and that's at sea level so probably 6hp not 16 horsepower 😆
3:23 this is what a 2 stroke is supposed to sound like. 0:38 idk what this guy was doing
Great choice 👍

Waiting for Andre and Roman to do a motorcycle gauntlet.
Is this a good size bike for someone that is 5’10” and 215lbs?
Is that helmet actually awesome? Is it a Troy Lee Designs??? Oh... It is indeed awesome 👌!
I think if you remove the tampon holder that bike goes 5 mph faster. Haha.
Frig 2 strokes
4 STROKE NATION BABY
TORQU MACHINES YEAH
U being serious!?! 2 stroke engines have way more torque lol. It is just a fact😂😂😂
That is why they start off the line so much faster
Just curious how much do you weigh just wanting to know what the 125 can handle for weight of the rider
I was praying that 2 stroke would lock up! So annoying.
Bring a real truck w/ya next time tho. Great review! ;)
Yeaaaa!
you do know that higher octane at elevation is not needed yes? One of the few benefits of living at higher altitude!
But most places don't sell ethanol free gas in lower octane ratings.
Where is Yamaha made?
how tall are you??
205 pound wow its heavy, my crf 250 rx wheight only 240
awsome!
Really do you ever heard about ktm tpi? a friend of a friend has one and he loves it 😝😝😝
I had a lot of bikes over the years. The last was a 465 Yamaha. They auto inject oil Andre. A 125 is great for your daughter. Get lots of body armor
awesome
That is a mini-bike for a man of your size.
Should have got a 250
That bike has 9hp max not 16
The quest for content continues...
I wonder how this thing stacks up to an electric bike.
A lot better and cheaper
EV's will lay waste to ICE. Torque is insane.

@@snomass1 Which one?
Get yourself a WR250R!
that was a fun video lol
It has 7 Hp, not 16.
A 125 seems a little small for a grown man butt if it’s for the whole family it makes sense
It's his starter bike. If he really gets to loving it, he will go from the pony ride to a proper horse his size. lol.
Yeah
That has zero power . I think some mopeds may even be faster. But a good beginning bike for a girl. Do they make one for men too?.
Tfl bike wow lol
That thing is 7hp not 14 or 15 lol
Your dealership is a bunch of liars if they told u a ttr 125 is 15 hp! Lol MAYBE 10...
This was a weird video..why did you buy a farm bike??..
All is needed is training wheels, little bike lmao
Andre who is even weakerthen Tommy.. go figure
9 hp
You're to big for that bike. I used own one in the early 2000
125? They didn't have mans bikes?
Clueless
They are 7hp and 7 torque
