I'm flying out there next month. Watching the hot pretzels coming off the conveyor and then the pretzel being dipped in mustard are bringing back childhood memories. Yum!
Cool video! I've lived in Philadelphia my entire life, and this is the first time I've ever seen the pretzel-making process from start to finish. I now know how the owner got such toned arms. No gym membership needed here. Now I'm craving a soft pretzel fresh out of the oven. I'll take mine with spicy mustard, please! 😉
I was skeptical seeing the machine extruding shaggy, unrolled dough, but the shots of you eating it show how crisp and pillowy the end product is. Looks great!
Gotta be honest, I take them over Philadelphia Pretzel Factory in a HEARTBEAT. They’re always fresh and perfectly made. Been there 20+ times and never had a bad pretzel served to me
Usually when you work with a particular food item you usually don't eat that item because you see it and work with it every day you kind of get sick of it but she's in shape because of the way she was working it was nonstop moving those pretzels
@@evaguthridge2160 unfortunately, the company that bought the Tasty Baking Company ruined the recipe. They’re not even close to what they used to be. Sad.
@@bulldogbrower6732No not German it's from the swedes these are Swedish style pretzels. They were brought by the Swedes to Philadelphia in the early 1600s. I was born and raised just blocked from center City pretzels!
When cinnabon's first came out they were sold at the rest stop on the NJ turnpike near the Cranberry exit. My bff & I did stupid stuff all the time & decided we would go get one..so what we thought would be a short trip from Bayonne turned out to be 142 mile trip...I bought cinnabon's for everyone
My Aunt Blanche's family owned Federal Pretzel company at 7th & Federal (the Pretzel factory) in South Philly. As a kid I'd go in the back and watch the women (5 on each side of a conveyor belt) twist the pretzels and then right in the oven they'd go!
crazy good memory is coming out of concerts at the Spectrum back in the day and buying a few from the vendors outside to munch on the ride home. usually kinda stale but I was all buzzed from the show so it didn't really matter...
It’s been decades since I’ve had a good pretzel! The last one I got was at the Philadelphia airport, and it was lacking. When I was in first grade, there was a pretzel vendor who would stop by the school at recess, and sell us pretzels for 5 cents! They were sooooo good and usually warm. One of my fondest memories.
Terlepas dari SOP higienitas, home industry Amerika sangat menarik. Packagingnya bagus sebenarnya cuma kurang diplastikin aja sebelum dimasukkan kardus. Tambahan kantong kertas buat per pcs produk udah bagus
On my way to Jackson in the 80’s they would sit the day old ones outside and you could get a whole row of you were lucky for free .. best breakfast ever 😋😋
You need a pizza pretzel. Brings back childhood memories of me getting them from T&D's corner store right outside of bywood elementary. Better yet, get some Rita's waterice
I Eat these at Sports events, breakfast, snacks. Only ever use plain yellow mustard. if its too salty knock some salt off. Its chewy, just 1 makes a breakfast. At 50c its a good breakfast.
I use to sell them when i was 8 years old , we would sing ''x'''FRESH 🥨 PRETZELS 'ALLLLL READY PRETZELS' 10 CENTS each , carried my little mustard jar and butter knife..them wete the days my friends'
14:35 I love Lucy at the chocolates factory. Relentless... Never slow down. It wouldn't end well...(god bless her commitment). It's probably very important to her sanity that she gets to break off and prep and present the personal orders during the ritual. "Hi. Thank you" can be life or death after a point. We are not machines. I'm dark.
Best part of Philly Pretzels is pulling up to a corner in your car and buying one from a pretzel cart on the street. Even better when you pass up the pan handler and give your dollar to the pretzel vender
Antaño por respeto a un buen amigo fui cinco veces al Oktober fest de los co...rdones en Múnich, indecenteme nte caro y gente orgullosa y engreida, esos " panes para los alemanes "
I remember them well and miss them very much! Hats off to this hard working lady and many blessings!
Brings back memories from Elementary School over in Philadelphia... they used to hook it up with these pretzels on occasion. Best pretzels.
Steve used to go from school to school at recess & lunch & sell pretzels right at the schoolyard gate.
Righty!! Forget Pizza days, when they brought in the pretzels THAT was something special.
Wow nice memories
Wednesday was pretzel day. Two for a dollar. Best thing ever.

They're related, it's a fairly business
Philadelphia Pretzel Factory,...who? 😆
The way they make the pretzels is so organized and systematic! I can watch it for so long😍🥨💕
I wonder if the machine counts as a rinsing machine?
Love the lady who gives out the pretzels. She seems spirited! God bless her energetic nature 🥰
Yes may the great Cthulhu bless her.
Yup, never met her and I like her already
You can tell she hits the gym pretty regularly
She rocked. They look amazing!
if you want to watch someone lining up pretsel dough for 5 mintues straight, you're at the right place
those are perfect
❤️♥️💙💚
💯
A
NY pretzels are perfect. Coated with salt and a toasted, smoky flavor with nice, thick crystallized salt. Philly pretzels suck
And thats what makes them shit!
I'm amazed that this lady works around delicious pretzels and is in that kind of awesome physical shape!
Usually when you work with a particular food item you usually don't eat that item because you see it and work with it every day you kind of get sick of it but she's in shape because of the way she was working it was nonstop moving those pretzels
It's probably because she works out often, hittin' the gym
@@Stacebo32503 those do look like fantastic pretzels.
I guarantee that women hates pretzels now.
I use to live in Philly. Every time I get back I have to have Philly Pretzels. I know I'm bias but they're so, so good!
Indeed. I'm going CCP my next trip. Irresistible right?
Soft pretzels ,tasty cakes and scrapple everyone from Philly loves them

My Catholic school as a kid in Philly had a pretzel lady too, it was a dime for a hot pretzel with mustard at recess.
Hey that flower came from my home state. North Dakota mill. Deliver wheat there all the time
Look at her biceps 💪. Impressive

Very nice work and thanks for sharing this video. 😊
These are the best when it’s so hot it almost hurts to hold.
Could you show me how he slid them on the trays? Don't think I caught that.
He put them on the trays by hand, one by one.
Actually it was two at a time.

They are as crispy and delicious as they look, believe me.
I want one !! With French's mustard
I love the stamping cheat. "I got your praying hands right here, sistah. Watch this."
GOD I would love to have one those right off the conveyor belt dipped in butter 😋😋😋😋🙌
Them pretzels are good but not the best. You have to go to reading terminal to the amish for the best pretzel. The amish got that work.
No wonder she is so firm and toned. Hard work!
Can you ship a box to Mister Softee AZ , Got to love them!!
End products are great 😍👍👍
I don’t know who or what’s hotter: the pretzel lady or the pretzels. “Peace, Love, Pretzel “. Wow.
maybe someday i go back to philly and try some of their pretzels again for just one last time.

Now I'm hungry and will have to make some myself this weekend. Wonder what the different other than shape between NYC style and Philly Style?
Does the machine that goes chop with the dough count as some sort of rinsing machine?
those prtezels look so good
Can I buy a case of pretzels and have them shipped to Virginia?
Liberty Pretzels was a little spot I used to stop at. Off the interstate
Always fresh
Always warm
Always worth the ride!!!!
So much better than Philly Pretzel Factory!!!!
Wish we had that in Cali

How do you get them phresh? I've only had them when they are stale.
Any place in South Jersey sell them???
Wow... amazing... never knew there is a pseudo pretzel out there. Astonishing! Greetings from germany.
IKR! I mean as a German I am disgusted... this is as much a Pretzel as the USA are a democratic country. :-D
don't hate, appreciate
