I'm 72 and still remember being four years old hiding behind the Christmas tree, that was in the corner or the room, all scrrunched down eating a candy cane I had snuck off the tree. Best darn candy cane I have ever had! No idea why I felt the need to hide. 🤣I still put candy canes on the Christmas tree. Seeing yours makes me want one. Maybe I will sneak one and hide behide your Christmas tree to eat it. My days of scrunching down to hide however are long past.
That's a nice memory😊. My mom.always put candy canes on the tree.and we couldn't wait to get up in morning to eat one. Now we put all different flavors of candy canes on our trees and my kids can't wait to eat them all 😂❤ Happy Holidays everyone 🎄
I personally think Hercules does in fact switch it up pretty often as to what they create on their channel, bringing humor, information, a sense of community, family and friendship that all viewers feel good about. From viewing the entire process from corn syrup to the little bow on the box with bits of info and laughs inbetween. Every episode they do something different. Other candy channels truly are repetitive, and it can get old, though I still love their channels and watch their shorts too. Though Hercules is my favorite candy & choco making channel! ALways looking forward to their new videos - with or without talking, it's all great. Love watching ALL that you create, especially brittles and barks, cremes and candies! Thank you! ❤
I got a good chuckle watching y'all work in this one. I can't imagine how strong that peppermint must be. The colors on the candy canes are so beautiful and vibrant absolutely blown away
Steve inhaling the peppermint fumes reminds me of the time I had a head cold when I was young, and spending some time at my grandparents' place - I was totally blocked up and I took their horseradish sauce out of the fridge and gave it a BIG whiff - it felt like heaven for about 2 seconds before my sinuses closed back up!
I am so very excited to be able to give my family (7 total stockings including me) both a peppermint candy cane and a wintergreen candy cane. My sister and I can remember Christmases when she and Mom would bring home hand made candy canes from their holiday shopping trips. I am so very glad to have found your channel because now I can help to continue the tradition with Mom & Dad having both passed. Thank you for the beautiful addition to our stockings! Looking forward to getting more goodies from your site!! Glad I orderde when I did because I went back to get a few more (For our Yankee Swap) and saw you were out of the peppermint! So Spearmint & Wintergreen it is!
The smell of peppermint always reminds me of Christmas 🎄 And as someone who has suffered from nasal issues her whole life, I appreciate the clearing of my sinuses as much as Steve does lol
In addition to this being incredibly relaxing to watch, it may be the most fascinating thing I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Now, I really want to try your candy!!❤
Best looking candy canes I have ever seen.....great job guys....I love the ASMR ....thank you sooooomuch for this. I don't care what you film as long as there is no talking Im here for it.
I love peppermint sticks and canes. My dad at Christmas would film the family opening gifts in the morning of Christmas and there I was at the side of my mouth was a big candy cane from the tree. I love the single candy canes the original. I don't care much for tiny boxes of canes that are sold in most retail stores. I have made peppermint bark candy and peppermint ice cream using candy canes. So refreshing and peppermint does help sinuses as well I agree. I always have a bowl of peppermints on my coffee table.😮
I’ve been making peanut brittle, lollipops, and other candies, fudge and caramel for almost 55 years. I started with a cookbook and a candy thermometer, and have never stopped. It’s never too late to learn.
@ I have done it with peanut brittle. Two problems, until it cools it is gooey, not at full crack, and second, you might burn your tongue. Each time I do it, I use the utensil I used to spread the brittle, and run it under cold water, then scrape the remains and eat that.
@@trapperurban4984 I like gooey! Hehe, I remember my favorite candy as a kid. It was a sucker in a tube. It looked just like hair gel. You eat it by squeezing it into your mouth. That's what the liquid brittle and hard candies remind me of. 💜
I love that I found this channel! Didn’t feel like watching my normal RUclips channels or listen to music while I make Christmas presents. This is perfect! So calming and relaxing, and interesting too! ❤
I actually watched the whole video this time. Thank you for the sharing the step-by-step process of watching how candy canes are made. Great team effort 👌 Merry CHRISTmas 🎄
I really like this format. I don't mind some conversation but you can really focus on the process here. Thank you. I know it must be hard to remember not talk. 😂
First time watching this channel and I think this place and the V & A Museum ASMR are my favorites! So interesting learning while relaxing. Bravo 👏🏻 And, I really like the color variation on the canes!
I love fruity candy canes, these candy makers must be fit!! That process of air? Light? Getting literally pulled into the warm candy is fascinating to watch the process
I ordered my first candy from Hercules this week. They are sold out of cherry cordials and other amazing looking stuff. But I got some good things. They make everything so delicious!
That was super interesting! All the way from balls of corn syrup to stocking the bins in the store. The stick on the scissors is genius! How many canes do you make for Christmas? 🎄❤️🎄
16:22 gorgeous 😍 and i can literally smell the peppermint. I remember watching candy pulling at the store way back in the day! This brings back memories...thank you n blessings to everyone during the holiday season 🙏
I just came across this site and looked it up to order candy canes. I see you're in Syracuse NY. I grew up in Eastwood and then moved to North Syracuse. Currently in Michigan since 84, but cool to see something awesome from my old hometown
I don't like the taste of peppermint so never had a candy cane but have to say how impressed I am at all the work & effort you put into making these & they look lovely 🥰
Hi Mr. From 114 years your's grandfather and father and you it's arrived your's candy sweet special and super. It's very beautiful to seeing this working . Good luck and best wishes . From my country Lebanon best regards .👏👏👏👏
I feel like you need to have some sort of raised stand or an odd height stool so the staff don't have to bend over so much to get the corn syrup out of the bucket
I worked in Syracuse, NY for 3.5 years and drove past Hercules candy on the way to Walmart. Wish i had gone in back then. Will have to make a point to stop by next time im in town.
They make a “measuring stick” just like that for chainsaws (so all your firewood is the same size). You should call the company and tell them they have a whole new market!
Couple random questions, are those special scissors for candy making or just regular scissors also is there a coating of something on the table to keep things from sticking?
First time watching your ASMR channel and I am dying laughing!!! 😂 Not your typical ASMR (all serious) video. Your beautiful attitude still shines through! ❤❤❤
Oh wow! So happy to have found your channel. I live about an hour west of Syracuse. I'll definitely be stopping by the store next time I'm in the city :)
Is the peppermint stronger than Chinese mustard when it bc ones to cleaning sinuses? Love you guys. Once day I will make the trip to visit your shop from Florida
QUESTION: I have enjoyed your videos. Fascinating to watch the timing and rhythm of it all. One question, why do you hand form the corn syrup balls rather than just pour a specific weight of it into the cooking bowl like sugar? It all gets mixed together, so I am unclear the reason for that initial step. Thanks.
I imagine these candy canes are so much better than anything you can get from a retail store. I wonder what they’re like before they completely harden.
It is a mistake to try to eat hard candy before it fully hardens. It will completely cement your jaw shut until it fully dissolves, which takes longer than you'd expect.
I bet those candy canes are leaps and bounds better tasting than the dollar store canes made in Mexico these days. So many store bought candy canes skimp on the peppermint to the point all you can taste is sugar. When I was a kid back in the 70s, there was a brand of candy canes that came in a shiny silver foil colored box at Christmastime. Those were really good, but I can't recall the brand....probably Brach's while they were still American made.
Many years ago, I was curios to see how candy canes was made, I had discover your channel, you were still in the basement at that time ;) ;) since, I am always watching when you make candy canes ;) ;) Thank you from Vincent / Québec / Canada
If you replace the stick with a piece of metal the same length, and then weld/braze/solder it to the tip of the scissors. The cutter can shorten the measuring step, as the measure will already be at the cutting point.
That’s a precious story! ❤
I love that you have that memory and that I’m hearing it 68 years later.
That's a nice memory😊. My mom.always put candy canes on the tree.and we couldn't wait to get up in morning to eat one. Now we put all different flavors of candy canes on our trees and my kids can't wait to eat them all 😂❤
Happy Holidays everyone 🎄
You are so adorable ❤
@spirals73-s4c if she doesn't mind, record them so you can hear her later.
❤️🧡💛💚
I love the old school methods you guys use! The hand pulling, the clicker, the way you cover chocolate it’s so fun to watch!
That scissor/measuring stick tool is freaking genius!
I had no idea that much work was involved! I’ll graciously pay a good price for that product! Bless yall
And I will eat them more slowly!
I had NO idea. I’ll definitely be looking out for the handmade versions!
Oh! That reminds me.... I must get jolly ranchers in the freeze dryer for Christmas this weekend.

Thank you so much for the kind words!
After seeing how much work is involved, I have a new appreciation for candy canes.
I got a good chuckle watching y'all work in this one. I can't imagine how strong that peppermint must be. The colors on the candy canes are so beautiful and vibrant absolutely blown away

This must be the quietest candy production crew I’ve ever witnessed on Hercules. I’m getting sleepy just watching the pulling and cutting and twisting
Introverts tho can tell 😂 am one too🎉
Great invention Julia. Whatever makes the job more efficient. Y'all have mad skills.
As the saying goes, Work smarter, not harder!
Wow. The beautiful sheen during the pulls. Love seeing how things are made. Thank you.

Ok so I took a deep breath when you added the peppermint and I wanted to clear my glasses from the steam of the added red color. This was awesome. 🎄
You can tell Cara has been doing this for a long time, so calm and quietly good.
Since she was about 10 years old!
Cara only started a couple of years ago. 😊
The smell of peppermint always reminds me of Christmas 🎄
And as someone who has suffered from nasal issues her whole life, I appreciate the clearing of my sinuses as much as Steve does lol

Best looking candy canes I have ever seen.....great job guys....I love the ASMR ....thank you sooooomuch for this. I don't care what you film as long as there is no talking Im here for it.
This was wonderful! Thank you for showing us your expertise that goes into making one of my all time favorite candies. I LOVE PEPPERMINT CANDY CANES.
That's awesome! I always want to eat the hard candy while it's still melty when I watch these, but I would probably destroy my mouth. Worth? 😅🍬
@ I have done it with peanut brittle. Two problems, until it cools it is gooey, not at full crack, and second, you might burn your tongue. Each time I do it, I use the utensil I used to spread the brittle, and run it under cold water, then scrape the remains and eat that.

I had no idea this was how they were hand made. Fascinating!
I watch every year at the holidays! From the candy canes, ribbons, chocolates! Love your
Love how Julia works smarter not harder 😁
Ohhh man!!! I would love to learn how to make hard candy. The pull from the hook is so satisfying.
Good grief ! That was AWESOME!!!
Merry Christmas everyone 🤗🌲🎈🎉
This is so hypnotic and relaxing to watch.
Думала глянути мельком і піти, а потім зависла. Так цікаво спостерігати за процесом! Ви професіонали👍
Love the handmade candy and analog methods of your process! Thanks for sharing...going to buy some now!!
Julia is freaking fantastic at making candy. She owns her craft. Way to go girl!!! ❤ Love from Kelowna BC Canada 🇨🇦 💕
I love how she keeps quietly shushing everybody in the background because they’re filming an ASMR🤣🤣
I really like this format. I don't mind some conversation but you can really focus on the process here. Thank you. I know it must be hard to remember not talk. 😂
I think the subject is saying enough ASMR 😂
I was wondering why the stick was on the scissors. Great idea Julia that's better than drilling holes in the tables. LoL!!!
Me too M but it really was a good idea.
I like how new ideas are accepted, along with doing things the way they've always been done.
First time watching this channel and I think this place and the V & A Museum ASMR are my favorites! So interesting learning while relaxing. Bravo 👏🏻
And, I really like the color variation on the canes!
These are the most beautiful candy canes I have ever seen. Not like the run of the mill packages candy canes. I want these on my tree!! ❤❤
You all seem to work faster when not talking. I love both the talkies and non talk.
Thanks! Yeah, or when we're talking but the camera isn't rolling haha
I love that stick/scissor invention. Way to think outside the box.
The stick method is genius - I’m gonna use that in my crafts! ❤
So beautiful watching Steve with the hook making the candy canes come to life
Julia has such confidence now. It’s great to see how she has grown in autonomy.
You’re sweet❤
I love fruity candy canes, these candy makers must be fit!! That process of air? Light? Getting literally pulled into the warm candy is fascinating to watch the process
How could you pull light into candy? 😂
@CannabrannaLammer bad explanation, but that's what the air in it look like to me haha 🤣
I am so entertained by watching you guys make this candy the love and work an talent is amazing keep up the great work ❤❤
The canes are gorgeous
Thanks so much!
I ordered my first candy from Hercules this week. They are sold out of cherry cordials and other amazing looking stuff. But I got some good things. They make everything so delicious!
I am a machinist by trade and I am amazed at the skill level and artistry demonstrated by these candy makers. Bravo👏👏👏
Absolutly one of your. best videos. Loved the descriptive nature of this video. And love candy canes.
I *love* this ASMR channel! This is exactly how I love to watch candy being made!!!
I'm glad you like it!
That was super interesting! All the way from balls of corn syrup to stocking the bins in the store. The stick on the scissors is genius! How many canes do you make for Christmas? 🎄❤️🎄
Thanks so much! We usually get about 250 canes per batch, and are planning on doing I think 15 batches? So roughly 3,750 candy canes
@HerculesCandyASMR Wow! 😯
Love the TS apron!
16:22 gorgeous 😍 and i can literally smell the peppermint. I remember watching candy pulling at the store way back in the day! This brings back memories...thank you n blessings to everyone during the holiday season 🙏

Aww Steve lifting the heavy kettle. I love good people!! ❤❤❤😊
Do you guys have multiple batches going at the same time or do you finish one batch before starting the next?
I worked in Syracuse, NY for 3.5 years and drove past Hercules candy on the way to Walmart. Wish i had gone in back then. Will have to make a point to stop by next time im in town.
Love watching the pulling of the candy. Each time you pull it, the number of strands doubles. At 50 pulls, you would have 1 quadrillion strands.
I am so impressed with the way you have held onto the old way of making your candy canes! Very impressive!
They make a “measuring stick” just like that for chainsaws (so all your firewood is the same size). You should call the company and tell them they have a whole new market!
Just found this channel and subscribed right away. What a work of art! I look forward to trying a few things.
This was such a joy to watch. Thank you!
Pure Art at its finest. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Drooling, all the a from Southern Ontario!
You're not that far away from us in Syracuse, NY, you should stop in and say hi!
I love the high-tech siring spoon!! The entire scene reminds me of the witch making secret potions!!
It truly takes a village, to make it all work. Well done!
Couple random questions, are those special scissors for candy making or just regular scissors also is there a coating of something on the table to keep things from sticking?
Old school candy making is so enjoyable to watch.
Mesmerizing ❤
Why do you hammer the post where the candy is being pulled?
The candy sometimes sticks to the hook, the hammer loosens the candy from the hook.
Adding the stick on the scissors to get the same amount every time was a stroke of genius
You go Julia!!!❤❤ Love all the videos. Absolutely amazing! Thanks everyone!!
Is the peppermint stronger than Chinese mustard when it bc ones to cleaning sinuses? Love you guys. Once day I will make the trip to visit your shop from Florida

It's much too thick to pour, it has to be picked up instead of poured
That's insane!!! So much effort and care. They must be 😋 well done, people
Where did the Swiftie get that apron? I need to calm down but it's gorgeous!
Such great team work. 👏🏻
How were these made before corn syrup?
Impressive! Beautiful work you all do. thank you
That was really interesting I learned something new today thank u happy holidays to all of u
Could you get an extra long screw to use as the scissor attachment for you're measuring guide?
I imagine these candy canes are so much better than anything you can get from a retail store. I wonder what they’re like before they completely harden.
It is a mistake to try to eat hard candy before it fully hardens. It will completely cement your jaw shut until it fully dissolves, which takes longer than you'd expect.
Stick scissors is genius!!
Beautifully precisely made candy canes!!
How long does it stay plyable, or how long do you have before it cools too much to work like that?
Those candy canes look incredible! I don't see them for sale on your site though? Are they out of stock?
I like it better when he talks. I didn't know there was an ASMR channel. 8:28 is my favorite part.
Such beautiful craftsmanship and handiwork! Sugar work is very hard.
I miss you guys talking. Still, love to watch your work. Thanks
Is the metal table that they are making the candy cans on cooled by a refrigerator unit?
Beautiful art in a candy cane. I like spearmint too and do they come with green stripes?❤
Those are some really nice looking candy canes! Nice and thick, too. ❤️🤍❤️
When will these be available for purchase on your website?
I bet those candy canes are leaps and bounds better tasting than the dollar store canes made in Mexico these days.
