As a child, some of my fondest memories of Christmas, my Mother always had ribbon candy. I'm 75 now..
Thank you for sharing your gift.
You have truly made my day watching you.
Thank you for sharing, this made me smile. 😊
Wao that's good
@@alexandratodd6778Me too.
He has rehearsed bits and i love that. Please keep that up. That's the sort of childhood memory that pops into your random middle aged brain from time to time.
"This is the part of the job that I feel very kneaded" 🤣😂😂

This candy makes me think of my grandma..she would sometimes surprise me and my brothers with ribbon and See's candies..I will always think of her when I see these candies ❤️
your grandma is awesome and sweet, sorry for the pun 😅
@@AiSyYoo lol thanks 😊
Sure do hope this way of candy making continues forever. Stretching like they do taffy.
I was adopted by Boomers, so my mom knew which stores still sold this stuff. She would get me the whole box for myself and say it was too sweet for her. I had a very hard childhood, but ribbon candy is one of the sweetest memories. 💜
I feel the same about sees
I’ve tried buying it online and there are always only a few ribbons and the rest of them cut candy. I wish I knew which stores sold them
@@deannausernametaken Christmas Tree Shop sells them
@@deannausernametaken try hercules candies
@Miguel Silva theres nothing wrong with stating a generational name smh
This brings back so many memories. My grandparents made ribbon candy and "paddlepops" for many years before my parents took over the business. Miss watching my dad throw around the hook.
I could watch this process with just an overhead shot of the marble counter, no voice, just soft music EVERY night. There's something so satisfying about the movement of caramel❤
This man is brilliant, thats a hell of a laborous job. You missed the feeling kneaded joke, that was funny 😂
He keeps talking through the whole job, as if it’s super easy! He certainly doesn’t let on how much work it is
Man that kneaded joke really flew over everyone's head
Finally!!! I remember these ribbon Candie's in our Xmas stockings every year as a child! It's so great to finally see how it's made😀💜 Thank you for bringing the love of making it to the love our family experienced over the years. From the 1960's till now💯✨
창밖에서 집중하는 아이들의 모습.. 아이들의 부모도 저 아이들처럼 창밖에서 보았을거라 상상하니 마음이 따듯해진다.
I would love to see a watermelon lemonade flavor. Pink and yellow is such a pretty color combo
My mom used to get my Easter Bunny from Logan’s. Brings back memories I am 59 now. I don’t live there anymore but was very good
We used to go to the beach where a candy shop had an old pulling machine making salt water taffy and I would be mesmerised for hours. I also liked the machine that cut it and twisted it into waxed paper. I could watch this all day.
York Beach Maine?
ribbon candy is one of the candy I get for Christmas and Thanksgiving
Wow !..the amount of work that goes into making this candy!…no machinery whatsoever.
what an art form this is! from the hook to the candy stretching to the ribbon forming, artists all! Bravo for keeping this true American candy shape alive and well.
Finally someone teaches. Refreshing and jovial 😊
Your craft is amazing! I truly hope this art isn’t lost ❤ thank you for filming this
Hi Jerry, Logan's Candies. Holding on to a bit of American tradition is so important! I remember ribbon candy well. I live in Key West, ill be ordering from you and your family soon. Thank you Jerry.
Ribbon candy brings back so many great childhood memories of Christmas at my Grandmother's house. Love this video.
I love ❤cotton candy. Love ❤️ Logan’s Ribbon Candies. Thank you for sharing on how it is made. I would love to visit some day. Susan. Sacramento California
It reminds me of the hospital baby blankets. ❤ Safe to say I was drooling the entire video because cotton candy is my favorite flavor!
I love watching people make candies like this, it’s very mesmerizing and just a true craft. This guy is really good with talking to people and interacting with them. I also bet you have some great muscle mass in your arms and upper body lol.
My late mother loved Ribbon Candy.....our tradition was to always get her a box.
Fascinating to see! Thanks for keeping this traditional craft going
Oh my goodness YES!! I grew up in Santa Monica, California!! No wonder your candy 🍭 was so prevalent in our home all those years👋Thank you💜🍬
Beautiful!!!! I can’t think of my childhood without thinking of ribbon candy… so thankful you kept a beautiful tradition alive when we live in a fast paced disposable world. Hand crafted beautiful beautiful candy.
Please upload more of these type of videos
It's so pretty, brings back memories of my childhood Christmastime, my mother always bought a box for everyone to share . Green, red and white
He’d be so good to knead bread!! That’s such a cool thing. I’ve loved watching candy making since my grandmother taught me the stages of sugar hardening. Great job!
His hands work like a smooth machine
One of my fondest memories of Christmas. I'm 61 y/o but watched this fascinating video with a curiosity of 5 y/o. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.
I'm 63 this reminds me of my grandma and great grandma, every Christmas..
This is a treat to watch a candy making video! Thanks!
I see what you did there....;) lol
im a simple girl, i see stripes of pink, blue, and white lined up together, i click
I thought you said "I lick 💀"
you arent a girl
I've never had ribbon candy. I don't know what it is about it, but it just looks so pretty and shiny!
It’s yummy especially when it’s really thin. The flavors are traditionally anise, spearmint, cherry, peppermint, wintergreen (like lifesavers), and tutti-fruity (like jelly bellies). 🎉
I LOVE ribbon candy!! Reminds me of my childhood. We always had it at Christmas. So pretty and good. And now I know how it’s made! Thanks!
❤️💜💚
We used to have these from a street vendor when we were little. This was in Punjab India around 1995-8.
Would love to have them again!
Wow thanks for sharing. I live about 40 mins away and will check you guys out sometime. I always liked ribbon candy. Great sense of humor!!! Thanks for the video!!!
Omg, your humor! I LOVE it!!
Trans colors! Nice!!!!!
Beyond the art of the actual candy-making, Jerry the Candy Man is a wonderful entertainer -- he obviously enjoys what he does and shows that as he tells the crowd and the camera what he's doing. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Those kids looking out the window 💕💕
Nice to see things done by hand..think we forget the amount of hard work put into it
We have came to a point in human history where we make a type of candy flavoured after another type of candy
Her folds are so quick and precise. It would take months for me to come close to that level of expertise.
Oooh...a warm sample sounds awesome! Looks like a fun job that requires patience and skills 🍭
Yep that's my Grandma, she always had ribbon candy out at Christmas. But this batch is totally me with the pink & blue & cotton candy flavor yum. I want it & I want to go there. I'd love a glass version to just sit on my table and look pretty. Editing: I had to go over to your website it turns out you're not that far from me in California, I'm seeing a day trip in my future. Can't wait.
I remember ribbon candy much thinner. It's still a favorite anytime of the year if you can find it. His shop is in Canada and I looked them up. They don't ship internationally though. I enjoyed watching the making of it.
Logans is in Ontario California, not Canada. I grew up there, still go to Logans every Christmas!
Go in Ross around Christmas. They have it all day!
@@KayKay-pj1xb good to know, thanks!
@@maryannecracchiolo1086 Thanks 😁
I had my first and second grade teacher, Sister Ellenida that would bring these in as treats for us when we finished each chapter in our religion book
To this day I can picture everything and everyone in the classroom 61 years ago
I still remember when I was a small child, I used to insist my mother to buy candies and the day I bought a lot of candies was my Eid. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ribbon Candy. My favorite. We called it sleigh candy. Merry Christmas
That's so amazing I have never seen Ribbon Candies in real life. Then you made it go from Gold to White. Magic LOL. I love it. Amazing watching. Thank you!
It's so satisfying to see the caramel kneading
I don’t understand how this channel does not have millions of subscribers I just subbed it’s amazing it deserves so much more views and subs I always hate when amazing channels go so unnoticed.
because there are THOUSANDS of channels all showing the same technique and thing... Lofty Pursuits for example. Nothing new here... and the prices are typical CA High... $1.85 for ONE PIECE of ribbon candy!?!?!?!? He made 375 pieces from this batch of corn syrup and sugar... that's $525 a batch on about $20 worth of ingredients... what a business!
@@pesto12601 labor and established year adds up
Because RUclips is visited mostly by Gen Z and all they know is hot fries, takis and sour patch kids. They don’t know about real candies.
The frozen picture looks just like an afgan my mom made back in the 70’s.
Took my daughter there for a preschool field trip, watched how they made candy canes, that was 28 years ago!
Wow! There is so much love in these ribbons!!
This guy is a legend
My Mom always had ribbon candy at Christmas time!!
Love ribbon candy, Thank you for all the hard work you do to make these.
My mom put these out each Christmas & nuts. Thank you for the memories
Ngl the hook pulling g looks like fun.
Frankly it’s hard bloody work. The sugar is heavy and doesn’t move easily as it starts to cool and stiffen up.
Loving this, takes me back to my Grandma's and Aunt's candy dishes.
Why was no one laughing at this man's jokes?? I was laughing at every joke he said! Especially the gym one😂
Cotton Candy & Watermelon are my Absolutely Favorite Flavors! 😋 🤤 Yummy
I wish there was smell o vision 😂. Congratulations on being in business 40 years. Your staff seem to show great customer service. Warm welcoming smiles and plenty of conversation as they customers my have questions of what new flavors are in the works. I’m way over here in Youngstown Ohio. California where your shop is and the location looks so inviting with the beautiful sunshine I’ve seen outside that window with your crowd of people watching you guys working hard. I really hope you and your family have plenty more years of success in your business. Your team looks very strong! Please share more videos like this when new flavors are available I really enjoy them. Hope you guys have continuous great years ahead with all this mess going on these days. Good luck 🫶💜
This video made my mouth and my eyes water. My mouth because I know how wonderful these taste and it made my eyes water because of the nostalgia of it. Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without it. Nice demonstration and thanks for the memories. ❤❤
I love the children watching through the window.
It's fun to see how this candy is made! It does encourage me to eat in moderation but it's interesting. Thanks for the video!
In my opinion, this is better than huge factory made candies as it's actually someone's passion to make those candies =) It would make me happier to buy them.
What a great craftsman. And it's ribbon candy?? I haven't had ribbon candy in SO LONG, I miss it SO MUCH.
This is the first time I have seen adding color at this stage of candy making
Coolest thing I have seen!
When he was handing them out, I half expected to get a piece. Sadly, it did not come through the screen, lol!
love this SO very much! After watching a few of your videos, I've realized your voice and voice inflections sound like Ernie from Sesame Street. :) Makes me smile!
Beautiful! You guys are very skilled!
This process amazes me...mastery from experience. One must be very good at something to make it look easy.
Nice video, thanks for posting!
Hi! New subscriber today! Why have I not heard of this family candy maker in my home state until now? 😢I will definitely be supporting your business and for bulk orders. Thank you for sharing the candy making process and the shop activities! I will catch up on the videos to see what candies you sell. I tried to look on website but only some showed up on the screen, it said to call. I’m excited! I found a candy maker who makes pillow candy a childhood favorite of mine and I don’t see it made now. Take care and Happy New Year!
So very satisfying to watch!
Thank y'all for all you do ❤
I honestly did not think this was done by hand. Nice work.
This is wonderful! Thank you! I’m about to attempt my first organic anise ribbon candy without corn syrup and I’m learning very important tips from you, and other videos I’ve watched, so I just may succeed! Who knows!
I was looking for ribbon candy this Christmas and couldn't find any. I always loved it.
I didn't realize that the ribbons were done by hand.
this 97 year old diner still makes candy the old fashioned way
We got ribbon candy in our Christmas stocking every year in the 50s and 60s.
It so satisfying to watch a master do his work. I've the easy freeness
Joy in your working just watch for hour.
I never tried a candy like this one, but i love how it looks. And i realy like the video, so much information, and it's funny, so cool.
So pretty 😮
This guy's shop is absolutely fantastic!
Awesome job bro.
Tough crowd he's funny 😂😂😂
I am heading to Logans this week.👍🏼
This guys is hilarious why is no one laughing? I’d be crying at every joke
Reminds me of my childhood Christmas. Thank you
Wow! Amazing to see this candy being made, makes me want a piece 😋 thanks for sharing this video 😊
I've never had ribbon candy but if cotton candy is a flavor I'd love to try it:)
Enjoyed watching!
I love this candy so good thank you many blessings
No one laughed at the ‘kneaded’ joke!…I would have 🥲
I lived near Logan's and loved watching when they made the candy canes. Wonderful store. They also used to have a candy called Sugar Plums.....I need to check if they sell them online.
Amazing!! I used to eat this candy when I was a girl. I miss this. It's not the same as the kind you buy at grocery store.
