I have to stop watching your videos, guys. I had a dream I was making dad jokes with Steve. So this is my last Hercules video. (Who are we kidding? I'm not going to stop watching. Lol.)
@@HerculesCandyHere's a fun fact: The first historical reference to the familiar cane shape goes back to 1670. The choir master at the Cologne Cathedral in Germany first bent the sugar-sticks into the shape of canes to represent a shepherd's staff. They were a gift to the children attending the Christmas Nativity pageant. But in another article I read, they claim that the candy cane was shaped like a "J" for "Jesus." The white represents the purity of Jesus, and the red is intended to represent the blood of Jesus Christ.
Hard to believe that I have been watching y’all’s videos for the last 6 years. Where has the time gone? Have always loved the channel. Very relaxing and informative also entertaining. Also, would like to know how Max is doing?
This has become Christmas tradition holiday for me! Every year December comes and I start watching intensely! Love your family! Love how you guys make the candy amazing
Have you guys ever considered making candy sticks like the old fashioned kind to sell in all flavors ? Just make the canes with no hook in them. So many flavors you can fuse together too !
I loved the Old-Fashioned Candy Sticks. I haven’t had those in years. I used to go crazy deciding with flavors to buy. Peppermint was my fave. But Rootbeer, Clove, Spearmint, heck, just about all flavors were delicious. P.S. I just found some on Amazon!!
Oh yum!!! watermelon is one of my favorite candy flavors and its making me grab for a watermelon jolly rancher since I dont have any of your candy canes here... Sour green apple is amazing too!!
Your candy canes are delicious works of art. In my most recent order I placed I included a peppermint one. Can't wait to receive it!! There is nothing like peppermint, it's just so classic & reminds me of Christmas. I'm thinking in my next order I'll have to get watermelon. I think my son would love it & me too!!❤❤🎄
You should invite the Uncles into the new shop and do a RUclips Candy-Cane pull off between Quick Steve and his brothers. Maybe a couple of teams, with your cousins too. It's be fun to watch, and help get through the crunch season easier.
Have you ever made the chocolates that you put in your coffee mug before you pour in the coffee to flavour the coffee? I think some people call them chocolate bombs … they usually have some sort of flavour centre covered with medium to dark chocolate.
I've ordered ribbon cand, from. Ypu. I got them and they were broken. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT. I didn't care. The candy was amazing. So broken or whole, it's the best candy.
Thanks!! I literally was just downloading some videos while in wifi to watch later tonight. I was about to go into the channel and find ones I hadn’t seen yet. I thought “I need me some Andrianos”. Within moments I was notified of this new video! Lucky me!!
I wish you made candy cane sticks would ship better as an option for those that want them and if I ever order ribbi9n can and it came broken I would put it over ice cream
You guys started doing the bars more narrow when you started using the stirring sticks for the food coloring. Before that y'all would just knead it in so it wasn't really necessary to keep it as contained.
It seems to me you can slide the freshly-snipped cylinder of candy into the bag first, and while it's still soft, make the curve in the cane. Less chance of breakage than bagging it once it is cold and set.
Have you ever considered installing a paper cutter type blade at the end of your table with the flames? You use scissors, which is great but it involves setting down the candy and doing a fine motor skill to cut. If you have a handle with a blade (paper cutter or paper trimmer is what they're called), you would just reach up and pull and it would cut your candy on the table. Ive never commented this but every time I watch you pick up scissors over and over again, I cant help but think it would be hugely helpful. Love your content.
Can some one tell Lea to take her dog to the vets that not good lifting up her leg like that at her age, she’s probs in a lot of pain to not be using it and to switch it probs her hips, I’m a a dog groomer of 8 years and I work at a dog hydro centre. Hope she’s ok x
Nope it’s not the hip smaller dogs like that have the knee cap that dislocate it’s prone with smaller dogs.I also have a little wiener dog and she does the same thing it’s the knee cap.
Th I candy place in san diego during the 70s and 80s used to make a sof mint with chocolate coating. They called em winter nuggets because of the cooling effect of the mint.
I enjoy all y’all’s videos. And the candy and chocolate are so good!!!! (My hubby and I have visited your store) But I’ve wondered why y’all stir the color in with the little wooden spoons? Will the colors not mix in as you knead and stretch it the candy while it’s still on the warming table?
What a great idea! I personally don’t like to eat the peppermint candy canes, and only buy them to decorate the tree with. But I would definitely eat a watermelon candy cane!
I was one of those people that laughed at people who believed in big foot, THEN my good friend sent me pictures of what him and his family saw on there camping trip in Oregon and what I saw, yeah, I 100% believe now. And when they reported what they saw, a bunch of guys in black SUVs showed up and made them leave. When they went back the next day, there wasn't a damn thing that was left. They know more than they want us to know!!!
Wow, what a meditation it is to watch you. what should be the ratio between corn syrup and sugar? I wish you continued successful creation, you are very hardworking.
I'd love to order, but the cheapest shipping method to Alberta, Canada is $96 for a few candy canes. I can't justify the shipping being far more than the order itself.

I think the randomness of the colors is way better than if they were symmetrical. They’re really pretty 🤗❤
I remember going to their shop downstairs in their house on Herman Street as a kid. It was so fascinating to watch them make candy!

It sure is!
I'm missing Terry's cooking videos with all of you sitting down for dinner!
Loved seeing Steve add yellow to the green colouring. Painting with candy! 😁 👍🎨
I got my spice- flavored hard candy this week! I am so happy!! The watermelon canes may be my next purchase.
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the spice candy so much!

I’d also like to know if Julia and Scott are dating! If not, they should be. They are so cute together and bicker like a married couple!! Lol
So many laugh out loud moments! No matter the candy being made, it’s a party!🎉
would love to see softer candy, something similar to fruit roll ups? love the videos
Cara’s technique is so satisfying 🩷💚
She should get a bucket of beer just for that.
What a happy family 🙏. I love watching your YT videos. ❤

I could watch these videos all day long🍭🍬🍫
2:30......I was just thinking about how many times Steve has scraped that copper pot???!!!!!! Thousands, undoubtedly!
Watermelon with a sour green apple stripe. Yum!
Steve as always, a handsome personality. 👍🏻
I love the look of the ones that have more green.
Watching this in May 2024- just ordered your watermelon hard candy! Cheers from Cape May NJ
I love watching you make the different kinds of candy. Very interesting.
Please, please get your dachshund checked for hip dysplasia! It’s pretty common in low rider breeds & she might be “bad” because she’s in pain
These are stunning videos! What a great group of candymasters! Cheers!

Watermelon flavor is my favorite too.
And I'm 62:)
I am new to your Channel and I am enjoying watching your videos very much. Question, why do you hammer the hook?
It sends vibration which helps unstick it from the hook
Can y’all recommend a good candy cookbook? I love y’all’s channel and how yall enjoy each other’s company 🙏🏼❤️
Steve I love watching you work, always in a good mood.
I think it would have looked better before the red part was pulled on the hook. It was a pretty red but now it's pink.
I like the clear wrapping so you can see what one has the golden ticket inside
"I think thats what she said, i better go ask". The fear in that mans face lol.

All I'd like for Christmas 2024 are bubble gum and cotton candy flavored candy canes!
Go Syracuse!!!! Love watching how candy is made.
What I wouldn't give for smell-o-vision oh and watermelon is my favorite
My dad used to make the large batch too, and then he decided to make thin ones, the reason was simple: it's faster to cut. lol
I just subscribed! I love watching this kind of stuff!
Hey from Wisconsin!
I love Wisconsin!
the old batches were wider because they didnt have a proper cooling table in the basement if i remember correctly
Th I candy place in san diego during the 70s and 80s used to make a sof mint with chocolate coating. They called em winter nuggets because of the cooling effect of the mint.
Oh they have those peppermint patties in their online store too!

It makes less of a mess if we stir it in first - otherwise it can get all over our gloves.
What a great idea! I personally don’t like to eat the peppermint candy canes, and only buy them to decorate the tree with. But I would definitely eat a watermelon candy cane!
Have you ever considered using edible glitter when making your ribbon candy?
yasss the bars used to be further apart
Just started back watching the videos! Where is Cooper? I haven't seen him in the few videos I've watched lately
I was wondering the same thing!
Cooper moved on to a new job over 4 weeks ago
@@thatgirlinokc3975no way. In what video did they announce this?
Love your videos! Thank You!
Let's not forget as well cinnamon and clove flavored candy canes also for next Christmas. 🎄
Scotty is becoming a candy maker.🥰
Watermelon flavor is awesome it's one of my favorite
It's so hard to find watermelon candy canes too!
I think the reason for the bars being further apart, was because it was on the marble. With the cooling table that doesn’t have to be so wide apart.
just got my order soo good
Love the videos!!
Do you sell candy cane glue?
I clicked so fast, I dropped a stitch… 😊(crocheting)

Julia talking about her dog's walking 😂😂hahah loved it
You guys are lucky. We used to make 130 pound batches. At 1 time, I was the head candy Maker over red band candy in Bristol, Virginia.
Um... it's "A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY..." LOL!
That was bada$$ the green edge effect made pink pop more

ever thought of doing a energy candy ? powders can be bought : )
My favourite candy stick/candy cane flavours are blue raspberry and Rum Butter
Love it its like stress relief watching your videos 💯👍🏿
The watermelon looks so good😊
Montana here from Arizona
Besides, make them for next Christmas grape/lime flavored candy canes.
Watermelon is a great flavor
have you ever tried the candy cane sticks? there straight so less likely to break
My fave flavour is rhubarb and custard but I would bet good money that flavour has never been made in the US.
Your dad reminds me a bit of Mark Ruffalo. haha This is a cool video of the behind the scenes.
You need to get along little doggy! 😜😅
Do you guys also make Cinnamon Candy Canes???
I would love that.
Get 'em while you can www.herculescandy.com/collections/christmas/products/cinnamon-candy-cane?variant=40325812748478
id be interested to know how they actually make the flavourings such as watermelon. how dj they get ut to taste like it

I know. Isn’t that shipping ridiculous. It’s cheaper to drive there from Toronto!!
Then it's time for a ROAD TRIP!!!
I know...I'm in BC....errr cheaper to drive there, right?!!!😊
Sticky said for years their most popular flavor was watermelon too. 🍉
Makes sense, it tastes great!
I love these guys watermelon is my favorite my second is Spearmint then cinnamon yummy 😋
What if you made the green stripe basil or mint flavored.
Charge an extra few cents and BOX up the candy canes within your shipping box, it works
