💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

@@K.TaylorSmithWhat's the point in that comment???
@tyigreja5708 you gotta watch the video to find out!
When she folds it on the table with the spatula and it melts is so satisfying.
I love how opalescent and tarry looking the still too "droopy" candy is. Truly gorgeous
This process could go so much faster and easier if they would just hire some Oompa Loompas.
I'll talk to corporate about that
@HerculesCandyASMR 😃👍 Awesome work, BTW.
😜🤩🤣
👏😂
You're an oompa loompa
And this is why I love this channel it’s magic for your eyes, there is candy, pretty colors, and it’s just therapeutic.
Maybe it's just me, but I like the videos SO much better with just the explanations without all the laughing & talking. It's amazing in today's obsession with speed and automation to see people actually hand-making and hand-packaging their candy. WELL DONE, and Great Videos!!!!
Bang-on! Such an art form❤🎉
Appreciate the metric conversion, always had a hard time picturing the amounts, this makes it easier.
The candy looks so cool around the 10 minute mark where it's an inky blob filled with streaks and flecks of bright electric blue
That is a gorgeous shade of blue. Some excellent asmr triggers too.
Thank youuu!
So are your teeth and tongue.😅
Yeah! It's like neon, metallic blue!
Omg it looks like it would be fun to play with the semi cooled candy.
And when it was being pulled it was such a dazzling blue!
I would never want to arm-wrestle with Julia. She is SO STRONG!!! She amazes me!
Corn syrup handling is an art isn't it. Thanks for another quiet video. I really like there aren't loud sounds where stuff is hitting together. The whole process is fascinating.
She whispers its ready 😊
So some talking lol
@@HerculesCandyASMR that's the kind of talking we want to hear. 😉🖖
it was a very pleasant surprise and honestly made me hungry thinking about the candy
Thank you for those great nuggets of information about what's going on, I appreciate it😊 and using the subtitles is perfect 👌
Craig, I have a request for more packaging videos, please! Those are always great to watch. Thx😊
The texture of the melting candy just soothes something in my brain. I can't explain it, the camera angle was perfect for it 🤤
These videos make me want to work at your candy shop. So cool to see candy made in such large batches.
I love repetitive busy work. Always have! Brings me peace☮️
Making me hungry just watching it. Awesome video. Here is a skill a robot will never achieve.
First time viewer and I won't lie - I didn't get any ASMR tingles from this, but I watched the whole thing because it's just fascinating! I'm going to check out more. 😂
Don't know what ASMR tingles are but agree.
Gorgeous blue color on the candy, skillful work making it and delightful ASMR sounds. Thank you for sharing.💙🥰🍬
I just got the hard candy in blue raspberry and watermelon. Omg. Sooooooo good
I couldn't take my eyes off of the blue because it was so pretty! 😍
Now, this is the real home made candy!! All done with prescision. economy. and just plain goodness!
I live in NH and we too have an old school candy shop called Nelson's candy and every year they make hand pulled candy canes! Its so cool to watch them on the hook!
12:34 that’s really going the extra mile to illustrate a point.
Damn well done🤣
Was really cool to see the other techniques used
That is the most beautiful blue ever seen
9:47 she crushed that bubble nicely
This is kind of the perfect thing to read by and I never knew it until today! Also the blue candy looks so delicious!
I'm glad that people can find all sorts of uses for these types of videos!
I don’t understand how some peoples brains work, (this isn’t a derogatory comment) when I read my brain is immersed in visualizing the characters and their actions, while I read the rest of the world turns off and I meld into the world of the books narrative, I couldn’t watch a video or listen to anything else because I’m so into the story world of that book, don’t get me wrong I can multitask like crazy while reading lol, make food, clean, work on something like my car etc but I don’t want to watch something intricate while reading, and most sounds are tuned out as I hear the characters voices while I read 😂 just me maybe I’m a complete weirdo
12:55 The blue 💎 color being created on the hook by Julia is amazing here. 🤩
🙋🏼♀️ advice from a person with chronic spine pain here - In an attempt to save people from having to bend over to get corn syrup out of the bucket, is it possible to position the bucket on a stable platform? The less bending, the better. Future versions of yourself will thank you 🙂 Your videos are the best. I think I prefer the regular channel. Washing the bowl reminds me of dishes 😂 however the boiling is very soothing
I didn’t know I had an ASMR response until I watched these. I definitely have one.
I’m curious to know what an ASMR response is 🤷🏻♀️
Kettle washing is my favorite trigger for sure 3:59
See kids...there's a reason why you learn chemistry in school...you could learn to make candy! :p
I love the quiet videos
Enjoy seeing the candy making process. Interesting!
It looks primordial on the table!
This looks like the kind of low stress job I neeed.
I think the reason why the lady was scrabbling the pot is so the sugar crystals don’t stick or burn
I love watching these videos the people who do this are really clever
I love your strawberry/lemon hard candy so much, need to order some more
Thank you so much for supporting us!
You must have very definite parameters for temperature and humidity throughout the work areas! And boy, there is a lot of strength and trust between the two people carrying a kettle of candy off the cooker to the work table!
It’s definitely an art to making candy! Beautifully done!
Funny how you wore the mic on your wrist to get the best ASMR sounds :) Thanks for the video!
I prefer no talking one's. Like this one.
This is the perfect channel for you then!
That color is so gorgeous
I love these silent videos so much. Thank you for continuing to make them. I had no idea that that table had a cooling system built in!
I’m curious about the cleaning process. Do you wait to clean the copper kettles until they cool down? If so, why?
We don't necessarily wait to clean them as much as the candy makers are busy making candy and can only get to cleaning in between batches
The candy man can cuz he mixes it with love to make the world taste good 🍭🍫🍬
Beautiful color blue. Awesome process.😊
Wow I love watching your videos I'm a retired chef never made candy now it's 70 years old I wanna start making candy at home you guys should put out a book on how to make candy unless you have one if you do please let me know. This blue candy i am drooling God bless stay safe stay strong and have a great holiday season ho ho ho✌✌👍🎅
That is a sick blue!! I'd paint my car that
Color!!!
Right!?
We used to have a 65 Chevy Nova painted that color. I loved it!
I watched the other video that they have the machine like you did from the hook. I understand it’s an old fashion way.. it’s cool! 😊
10:35 it looks like obsidian
I’ve always been curious, how do y’all clean those precious pots from the previous batch of hard candy…neattt I actually got to see her clean one!!! Welp that answered my question 😂😂😂
Dumb question, but it horrified me to see their bare legs exposed when they picked up that molten vat of sugar. I am sure you are super careful but all it takes is one slip and.... good lord I can't imagine that splashing on your legs. I would think at least a long leather apron to protect you somewhat
It's because they've never had an accident apparently. After the first major accident, it'll change. They always wait until an accident happens 🤷🏼♀️
I would have thought they would have had to wear trousers and a long apron
Health and safe in different parts of the world have different laws, understanding and accountability. What is allowed in America would definitely not be in UK & Europe….with hot sugar, lifting and carrying heavy weights….but that’s the difference we all understand and appreciate watching 👀 and learning from each others experience
It could've been worse. She could've lifted it up completely naked.

Family run buisness since 1910...
I think they know what they are doing.
Wow. what an amazing process. great work!
0:11 POV: me when i am touching my brothers slime😂😂😂
Fr 😂
OMG, she looks so happy!!! I think she's really loves her job😅
The tapping sound is so nice though😊
Ooooh that tapping at 10:20 was the real ASMR goodness! More of that please 😊
Beautiful colour ❤
I recognise a lot of this process from working at Callard & Bowsers in Halifax, Uk in ‘81. I worked on the Nuttals Mintoe,s line. A bit more mechanised than your process but basically the same principle.
Use a wooden rolling pin to push the bags open. Goes in easier than your hand. Clamp the pin to the table to really make it easy.
Interesting to see that you included the dry bags into the total weight of candy.😊
Yes, the candy makers make sure to include 8.3 oz. of candy in every 8oz. bag to ensure that the customers receive 8oz. or more of the actual candy.
This is the comment I was looking for and the info I wanted👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This chilled me clean out
I used to make treacle toffee like this with my mum, stood in the kitchen like we were folding bedding!!
Only 200k subs😢 you deserve millions..im shocked
9:17 this whole bit right here is going to give me some really weird The Floor is Lava dreams 😂😂… this video is so memsmerising I’ve never seen your videos before! Subscribed 😊
Hi there, I'm also a small candy maker. I was having the same issue with specifically my blue raspberry batches getting sticky when adding the flavoring at the end. I did suspect it was the excess moisture. Do you also utilize the same method for other flavors or just the blue raspberry? Thank you!
Bag of candies Weigh 8oz with candy. Then let's add 10 packs of dry packs. "Oops, went over 8oz. Let's remove some candy pieces." 😂😂
Yep best advertising you could have done. Just had to order some.
This is just fascinating to watch. Question, do you have recipes that don't use the corn syrup, or classic candy?
I like this woman who makes candy.
Thanks for the quiet video. Nice to have no voiceover or music. Just wish it was longer.
Such a beautiful blue
the man in the beginning of the video has a pretty apron 🌺
At a rough guess, I would say they made between 3,000 and 3,500 pieces of candy. Impressive.
love how hopeful this is 😂
She's keeping stray crystals from forming which would make the candy grainy.
Wow I didn't realise the table is watercooled..!! What temp would the sugar be by the time it is put through the final sweet shaping 🤔
You mean as it's getting pulled out? I actually don't know, but maybe in the future we can show that in one of the videos
Delicious blue Candy 🍭💙
that is such as pretty blue 😍🥰
22:15 is the best with that wonderful fan noise lol
Yummy 😋 candy. Love your website. 🤗❤
I would love if you made a regular sour (not super sour) blue raspberry candy. The regular ones need a little bit of tartness to round out the flavor a bit.
This was very cool and rhythmic
No breaking bad references yet? Seriously? Comment sections surely have changed!
(the blue syrup boiling is mesmerising)
I thought about it too 😂
We need to cook Jesse. We need to cook!
Better call Saul
Mmm , blue , my favourite flavour
13:35 talking
Id love to see you make the sour jolly ranchers that were discontinued.
I guess that since these candles have a stripe they can be called "blue ribbon candy"! 💙💙💙
i got diabetes just watching this... the amount of sugar is insane.
I needs me one of those hot water washer upper hosey things. Looks like fun lol
What happened to the laughter and the joy in the videos? No talking? I used to love watching but now it's like there is no life anymore. It's depressing
Not to me- ilove it!
Then you may want to watch their regular channel. This channel is ASMR only.
Is corn syrup a kind of gum base? It looks nothing like I imagined it would be 😮 Really neat :)
I’m learning about this video
Scrubbing prevents the sugar crystals from burning on the side of the kettle
You're right!
So cool I would love to work there
Love your videos! Is raspberry flavoring heavier or thicker than other flavorings? The cranberry candy seemed easier to handle
What’s the deal with hitting the hook with the hammer?lov it❤❤❤❤
The vibration of the hammer on the steel helps the candy to come off clean I think.
Such a beautiful blue! 💙
I didn’t realize how much work (and water!) was needed for one batch of candy! I’ve watched many of your videos in the past, but focus was divided between techniques and banter! 😂
i am not a fan of blueberry flavored candy, but that color is amazing !!!
This is blue raspberry… wayyyy different flavor than blueberry
