Also you seem to consistently make very high quality candy the fact that every single thing is so clean is my favourite part about your videos the is never any filth anywhere I always see such amazing cleanliness from your channel!
My dad would buy ribbon candy every Christmas from Scholers candy store in our Philly neighborhood. At Easter we got vanilla buttercream dark chocolate eggs in our baskets with our names on them. Soooo good!
@ ribbon candy is hard candy stretched out and folded into “ribbons”; it’s an old-time Christmas candy. Twizzlers are a brand of soft candy made from strawberry licorice and other flavors. The factory is in central Pennsylvania not far from here.
Found your channel last night and holy cow! I love watching these satisfying food videos and yours is the best I’ve found. My favorite is hearing the creams kerplunk when you take them out of the corn starch.
As an aside, how much of the ingredients are lost during the candy-making process? Based on the beginning of this video I’m guessing this batch started around 25 pounds total, but how many did it end with? Is there ever any “extra” left over? Also, how long does the cooling process take after a finished piece is set aside? Moreover, how long is this entire process from start to finish?
@@HerculesCandyASMR does the boiling corn syrup easily escape through the fume hood or is the vapor perhaps too heavy and mostly precipates back into the kettle? how much of the vapor we see is water vs syrup? Like if you were to leave it on the heat too long how quickly would it reduce?
Tryed it once and never again!!! Stuck my bloody finger in it; to test if it was done. I was about 12'1/2 or 13 years old at the time. Got my beat , for not finishing it. My poor mother was so sorry for not finishing it; and serving to the relative's - but she had a good sniveling session and boo hoo pity party. Years later my Grandma told my mom; that everyone new what happened and they busted a gut laughing at her. She screamed at me over the phone for about 5 minutes before hanging up. I buy all my hard candy and enjoy with gusto . Keep up the good work Guys.
I'm just pointing out that it would be easier to weigh the items before putting then in the bag so you're not doing double work by taking it out and finding the correct piece and then taking it out and doing it over and over. Time is of the essence in a very crazy and challenging business. I give this company a 10!
whatever they weigh on would have to stay completely clean and maybe they just don't have a scale that can be kept sanitary idk, just tryna guess why they'd package it this way!
I’ve never made candy professionally, but I’ve always guessed the hammer tapping creates vibrations that make it easier to remove the candy from the hook without it sticking.
Do you guys clean that rubber glove often? Like is it sanitary? because i see a lot of candy making places and they have dirty looking gloves to pull and mold the candy, and it just makes you not want to eat anything.
I thought you were going to make your own chocolate. I am not a huge chocolate fan, except for the dark chocolate in Oreos, but I love cherry Starburst flavors. Does your cherry sugar portion taste similar?
what happened to the channel omg why are they not talking anymore?? not that i have a problem with it, its just weird, like somebody forbids them to talk entirely
So the candy release from the hook.
Correct!
@@HerculesCandyASMR do u ship to the uk?
You hammer the hook so the hook knows it did a good job. It's a hook-pat 😊
Absolutely! It's definitely a love tap
I just found this channel and I am addicted! Your family is so much fun to watch!! I love the traditional old school hook! That is awesome.
She is so good at pulling out those long pieces, with the red outside/pink inside and the chocolate in every piece! So fun to watch.
😁❤️

Ever heard of commas? Or periods?
Love run-on sentences?

Is ribbon candy what twizzlers are? Too.

Yummy, I like that every piece is slightly different, gets no better then handmade!
I don't think I've ever seen ribbon candy with chocolate in it. Neat. And I wasn't expecting the Crimson Tide tshirt, it made me chuckle :D
They make ribbon candy with peppermint and one with caramel too. The old-fashioned ribbon candy always tasted like cloves; not my favorite.....
This is so calming 😌 ✨️ ☺️ 😊. Videos like this make anxiety go poof like a vanished cloud in the sky on a windy day.
I love when they pour and scrape the bowl. Satisfying. HERCULES! HERCULES! 🍜🍬
Nothing left behind!!

Welcome! I'm so happy you found us!
Watching water dipped hands grabbing and handling globs of corn syrup will never not look like pure sorcery to me.
I fell asleep to this and woke up to a shipping confirmation in my inbox. Well played Hercules...
😂
@@HerculesCandyASMR I ate half the peanut brittle by myself already but managed to save the rest of everything for my mom tomorrow
I remember eating these as a kid. I didn’t realize there was so much work into making them. Pretty cool vid thanks
Family owned! Very cool! Satisfying video as well, especially the candy cutting part with the scissors.
Wow, the metal on metal when folding the candy set my teeth on edge and gave me goosebumps on my goosebumps but it was so hypnotic.
Booty hole time
I love this business you know exactly what is going into your candy and exactly how they make a pack it as well.
Love the silent films.
I never noticed the scissor sound before. Nice!
I love the scissor sounds, but I love them even more with our brittle!
This flavored candy is one of my favorites of yours. SOOOOOOOOOOOO YUMMY!!!!
Tapping it with the hammer avoids Steve having to hulk out with his massive guns and rip the entire thing off the wall
You're not entirely wrong 😂
What is the spoon made of that it doesn’t melt? Wood? Silicone?

It only takes a couple minutes to cool, and it's a 24 lb batch and we pretty much get that in the output of the candy.

You are correct!
Hammering relieves tension headaches, and makes the candy not stick to the metal bit.
It is currently helping me decompress i had a stressful day lol
We're here for ya!
I need this candy in my life right now. 🍒 🍫
Id remove the electrical cord from below the hook. Replace the wood with plastic behind the hook to make it easier to clean. Just my thoughts.
That’s the first thing my mom said when I showed the video. 😂
Nice, right on time! Just got into bed😊
We're here for you!
Does hammering the hook send a vibration that helps release the candy? 🤔
It certainly does!
I always enjoy your ASMR videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like them!
How do you guys clean the tables between batches?
those look so delicious 😋
One for the bag, one for me.
I like to hear the air bubbles pop.
I love it your back in my feed!!!!!! Yeah!!!!
Happy to be there!
Anyone else notice Steve makes cute little faces when he pulls the candy on the hook?
Do you guys clean that rubber glove often? Like is it sanitary? because i see a lot of candy making places and they have dirty looking gloves to pull and mold the candy, and it just makes you not want to eat anything.
Love the candy it is very good and tasted magical
Those candy ribbons look really big (like they would take a little while to eat) but they look Delicious!.
How come some ribbon candy goes in bags and some in boxes?
I love the chocolate lab shirt
Love your aprons
So the pulled candy releases from the hook
Correct!
Okay, so pops is a Bama fan from Syracuse, NY. I like it....
Till you see that one guy who presses a hand sander to vibrate the hook! Lol
Lost art done by hand. Bravo
Love the Alabama T shirts
I thought you were going to make your own chocolate. I am not a huge chocolate fan, except for the dark chocolate in Oreos, but I love cherry Starburst flavors. Does your cherry sugar portion taste similar?
What reason for doing the tossing back and forth?
Wish these candy could be sent to Brazil 😢
To bad you wasn’t in Nova Scotia Canada
The hook is taped with a hammer to help with the release of the candy
This footage gave me diabetes and the noise of the corn syrup in the beginning is borderline obscene. Dirty thoughts I tell you.
I miss y'all talking it was great what happened 😮
Ouch…poor guy.😂
Especially mine
Why don’t they speak always subtitles ?
This is their ASMR channel. They still talk on their other channel.
It releases the candy from the hook.
Correct!
Have you ever tried making bark with hot tamales candy?
You’re basically making a batch of sugar
Well, you r watching a video on candy making
لاحول ولاقوة إلا باللّٰه العلي العظيم
$30/lb + shipping - wow
It's pink.
....because it's been a bad boy.
The hammer is to loseen the candy from the hook
To release the candy
Huh guess that means its done then and the other ones not.
what happened to the channel omg why are they not talking anymore?? not that i have a problem with it, its just weird, like somebody forbids them to talk entirely
This may just be my new favorite
Can’t wait to order it
This is their asmr channel
Two different channels
Wear leather gloves under the latex gloves gloves, so they’re not too hot.
DANG, they’re cheap..3 pieces for that long bag😞
Is it just me, or does the young man at the beginning not seem to be being very careful in his measurements???
Time for a new lid.
That lid is probably 100 years old
I thought they were actually going to fill the ribbon with chocolate not have melted chocolate in the center of the big batch. 😂
I dont like the no talking thing..i prefer talkies. ?.smile
I don't think this is the channel for you then 😂
Your playing with the corn syrup too much that's why it's sticking to your hands
Yes, you're right, but he's learning. it's easy to understand the concept, but a lot harder to carry it out, especially when you're just learning!
Roll Tide
Hitting the hook with the hammer is useless. I’ve seen so many video of people just wiggling it off. 🙄
Are you serious!!! By weight and not just by pieces??? That is so weird.
You hammer the hook because it’s been a bad boy. Sometimes it needs a little reminder that the candy is boss, and it needs to behave.🔨🪝🍬☹️😊😍
😂
