Of The last person I saw preaching strong opposition to tourism to Hawaii had a not too long after an excited post about his trip to Cancun with his friends. GIANT eye roll. Everyone who thinks no-one should travel to Hawaii then you stay there, travel to everywhere creates revenue, but also often damages to environment (Even in Mexico, and here in Canada) so lose that revenue, don't whine and don't travel to other places. If everyone wants to be little 'mine' kids. Then all have your own piece but don't leave don't let anyone in and don't ask for help when something bad happens. Community and freedom yourself or isolation pick one

You only need a rooster to protect the chickens (hens) from predators or if you want them to multiply. Otherwise you don't need a rooster for hens to produce eggs.

NY is kind (willing to help, will help, jumps in to help) but not nice (get out of my way, I'm walking here!). I would like to see the group talk about what they think of different places.

It was very funny to hear you guys discuss the public transport system in DC. In the Netherlands, this is how it has always been done, but you can get cards that auto-updates if you need more more. For me it makes a lot me sense that i am paying less when i am only using a metro for 2 or 3 stops than when i have to take it for 10+, i am living in Atlanta now and this is one this that amazed me when i got here ( apart from the fact that our public transport system is far superior than any place i have visited in America ;P )

Slushy machine! Omg my dad randomly brought one home. I can't remember how or why, but it just showed up one day, and it lives on our kitchen counter. You can really put anything in it.. we made alcoholic beverages for gatherings. It's cool. We do have to maintain it ourselves. no special thing is required, just an outlet.

Hate to say it Keith, but in the year 2023 DC public transit is still as stupid as you remember it :( DC is a city but also a "federal district" which means that we can function independently as a city on certain things but congress controls a portion of the city budget AND has the ability to veto some laws passed by DC council! AND the mayor of DC needs federal approval to use the DC national guard (something that was v v inconvenient on January 6 when congress was a lil busy - the mayor had to ask the governors of Maryland and Virginia for their national guards) Tell your elected officials to support DC statehood! Also fun fact - should DC become a state it'd be the first minority majority state in the country!

Okay, I just wanted to clarify, as someone who grew up in the DC area, that there is a way to add money to the card if you are short on funds, there is a machine inside the station where you add the remaining balance. I agree that it is not a perfect system, but there is a way. 😊

Keith and I have the same opinions on every state. South Dakota? Beautiful. North Dakota and Nebraska are awful. Colorado and Wyoming and Montana are amazing. Indiana is absolutely the worst state. I feel so validated
