if yall are taking iron, avoid high doses of vitamin C cause then you wont absorb it well if at all! ❤ and if iron pills dont sit well, theres an iron fish that you can cook with to incorporate iron into your food ❤ love the poddy
Actually vitamin c helps with the absorption of iron, polyphenols (common in tea, coffee, wine, etc.) can block iron absorption. Doctors also recommend if you have to take long term iron supplements to take them every other day instead of everyday to help your body regulate better. Jared was such a great guest, I loved this episode and learning more about him. *One note for the podcast in general as I've just listened to several episodes: just my personal preference, I like Matt and Maggie alot but they (and sometimes Becky) have reactions that are not great for the flow of a podcast, such as responding to someone with 'Hmm', "Yeahh', 'That's funny', or have some dead air. I know people who do interviews truly train to develop these techniques so I understand it being more difficult than it seems, but it is a bit of a frustrating element of a show I otherwise really enjoy. I think, however, Rainy is great example of someone who is dynamic in the way she converses. Just my two cents! :)
