Vekoma did not steal Arrows track design. There was an agreement between Arrow and Vekoma according to Ron Toomer. He brought up the subject at one of the Coastermania's years ago.
I think what really stands out is when Jinma manages to do something BEFORE another manufacturers, like Snow Mountain adding a mega-motion track before Intamin or Dynamic, or Yulin Stronghold being a box-spine sit-down launch before B&M!
About that last one: Hulk
@@pizzaman8918 not with LSMs, though. And not in-house like Jinma (the drive tire launch was provided by Universal and some other subsidiary)
I believe the new park in Missouri "Oasis at Lakeport" has dropped the Jinma coasters in favor of Vekoma. The site plans of the park clearly show one of the coasters being a Dragonflier clone.
the fact you believe that stealing patented track designs and ride models isnt a big deal and the lack of research makes this whole video quite comical, its literally intellectual property theft and is illegal and hurts the original company's business. And no not every coaster manufacturer "copies" - they take inspiration and make their own unique version which is different from the original unlike some chinese manufacturers who directly copy designs. Also vekoma did not commit any sort of plagiarism, they literally got permission from arrow to utilise their track design to make their own ride models and layouts. At least take the the time to research into this topic and know what youre talking about before making a video about it lol
quite comical
Your nonchalance towards the appropriation of patented coaster designs introduces a whimsical element to the video; however, it's imperative to acknowledge that such actions constitute intellectual property theft, a legal quagmire that adversely affects the original company's enterprise. Not every coaster manufacturer engages in mere mimicry; some draw inspiration to craft distinct iterations. Vekoma, notably, avoided plagiarism by obtaining explicit permission from Arrow to employ their track design for unique ride models and layouts. Perhaps delve into comprehensive research before embarking on such video endeavors to enhance factual accuracy.
Honestly a 10x more interesting video would have been how Chinese manufacturers have pushed the industry and innovated DESPITE knocking off rides. Honestly it's disappointing how this video almost glorifies property theft

Gerstlauer, and Mack Rides share similar designs of Intamin’s old triangular zigzag track design
Knoebels is a great homegrown off brand manufacture of some great ride.
Also agree with this video! You are completely right about people only caring about knockoffs when Chinese companies do it.
I was just watching your most recent video and was thinking of different/better ways I could have tackled the point of plagiarism 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video and big fan of yours ❤️
@@RCETown Your video hits home a lot of points I have been thinking about after reflecting on the comments on that video. I subscribed and shared this on my community page!
I agree wholeheartedly too
This is a really good video!👍
They will never be as good as the proper manufacturers, the companies should just make something original for once.
I love these chinese manufacturers cus they all feel like alternate universe versions of western brands.
Quite a few good points here, although Vekoma didn’t steal Arrow's track design: Arrow licensed the design to Vekoma and allowed them to make their own rides. I assume Arrow would regret this as Vekoma definitely surpassed them in business due to their cheap cloned models, (Boomerang and SLC) but thats also on Arrow for not doing in the first place.
I don't fully agree with everything here, but again, I do think you made good points.
Alternative Title: Why I'm soon going to get cancled
"I was the first I have seen everything" withered chica
Vekoma got Arrow's permission to use the track design.
But I doubt Gerstlauer and Mack got IntAmIn's permission to use the Ride of Steel track design.
And the Vekoma SLC is a knock-off of the B&M Invert, and the B&M Flyer is a knock-off of the Vekoma Flying Dutchman. They did change a lot, though.
But also, B&M blatantly ripped off Giovanola's track design. (B&M created the track design whilst working for Giovanola, so it's work-for-hire and Giovanola owns it.)
And these days, IntAmIn and Vekoma use very similar track designs. VelociCoaster looks a lot like Formula.
And the idea of having a holding break before the drop isn't that original. So the Jinma Dive is a knock-off, but by that logic, every magnetic launch coaster is a knock-off of Flight of Fear.
And Schwarzkopf ripped off the Arrow shuttle loop.
No One Ever Said Jinma Is Bad Also RMC Has Never Really Copied Anyone Unless You Can Morgan Basically RMC-ing Steel Phantom
I guess you can say GCI copied RMC with their Titan Track.
This is the comment of stopping the “first” comment kid
Ofcoures the coasters will be good if you blatantly rip off good coasters. Ripping off a good essay will make your essay good but its not because off you
I think this is the point of the whole video. Remember, this isn’t about an essay, it’s about coasters. Does it matter if certain elements are copied?
