It's so strange seeing the cast just carry the conversation whilst Conan's audience doesn't actually know when to laugh at Always Sunny's crazy humor.
"You call that love?" is a legitimately hilarious line, and it was so fast and smooth that the audience didn't know how to react to it.

That’s so true… when Charlie said all these guys have slept with my wife in the show and Mac dropped his famous “only hand stuff” line and not one person laughed you can tell the audience doesn’t even watch the show.

I just discovered The Always Sunny Podcast, and hearing Rob, Glenn, and Charlie just shoot the breeze as themselves is amazing. Their characters truly are just exaggerated versions of their own personalities
I love how they only talk about the episode for like 10 seconds
It's crazy bc with all the watchalong podcasts coming out the one Ive always wanted Was the sunny one. And it exceeds my expectation. It is just as funny and chaotic as the show but totally its own thing. Also I've watched sunny so many times Im genuinely interested in certain behind the scenes details
It's also insane that they had Steven Spielberg as a guest. I mean talk about high caliber

I mean I actually appreciate that that he just steps out of the way for the most part while occasionally pushing the conversation forward or keeping them on track while not imposing himself. He knows who the comedians are

@@joshuazeeman7553 that's the whole point of being a host and he's the best there is and ever was. He's also a very good comedy when it comes to being funny himself, whether through writing jokes or improv. Comedy isn't always about saying the most jokes either. Conan knows how to play the "straight man" act, and knows when to let someone else do their thing.

I still find it hilarious that Charlie’s wife, aka The Waitress, still doesn’t have an actual name other than “The Waitress” despite having had sex with all four of the guys. Including Charlie’s character, who was obsessed with her the entire series, finally starts dating her after 13 or 14 seasons, and still calls her “The Waitress”. 😄
He has to call her "The Waitress" or else no one knows what they are talking about.

Her name is Nikki Potnick. In the High School Reunion episode Frank steals Nikki's name tag to sneak in, a few moments later The Waitress shows up and says that they didn't have her name tag.
Edit: Started listening to the Always Sunny podcast and this is not the case.

Their podcast shows how much their real personalities affect their characters. A lot of their casual attempts at making each other laugh, especially.
It's always awkward watching talk show interviews with the IASIP cast, because clearly neither the audience nor the host actually watches the show. So it's all very hilarious to us watching these videos at home on RUclips, but there is so little laughter in the actual video.
That's how it always feels, like the host is told about moments from the show rather than actually watching it
My favorite show just because is the anti-thesis, of every "friendship" sitcom ever. Thats what it makes comedy on this show something you would never predict and becomes very special for a LOT of people.

The gang IRL. Rob throws out ideas from his insecurities, Kaitlyn is the go-getter, Glenn is the laid-back narcissist, Charlie is the dumping bag, and Danny is the fifth wheel. All in a days work in Philadelphia. You truly see their characters' similarities when they're together.
Listen to the podcast. They are less extreme version of their characters

I had a crush on Kaitlin since the first time I saw her on the show and I always thought it was ridiculous when she was cast in a light other than that of a gorgeous woman. Even when they're poking fun at her character and saying that she's unattractive... it's like... you can't throw enough mud on her to make her unattractive. She's beautiful and it's not going anywhere for as long as she lives.
That's the joke, though. She's smoking hot irl, but the character is ugly to everyone.
Characters outside the gang usually find Dee attractive until they get to know her. Unfortunately they never can quite escape her 😂
There is a theory that we the audience sees the show the way they see themselves, but in reality they are all very unattractive people. Dennis wouldn't need to resort to such extreme lengths to sleep with women if he was actually hot in context of the show. Dee wouldn't have been afflicted with a bunch of ailments requiring her to become the aluminum monster and is always referred to as looking like a bird, etc...

The "show about nothing" comment from Rob is awesome since IASIP is referred to as "Seinfeld on crack" & also because Kaitlin was on Curb Your Enthusiasm. So the Larry David respect shines through - as it should.
This stage has literally all my favorite celebrities. Always Sunny and the Conan duo are the epitome of classy, funny, good hearted celebrities that never let things get too far out of perspective but let their comedy really display their imaginations. Absolutely wild comedy from the most down to earth people
the end of this clip reminds me of the episode of community when they realise that the guy interrogating them for pierce’s will hasn’t asked any questions in a while and they’ve just been revealing all their secrets on their own

the characters ARE the show. like each episode, they basically just stick them in random scenarios and see how they react 😂😂 and it's amazing. literally would be hilarious in ANY setting or scenario

Seinfeld and It's always sunny in Philadelphia are the greatest shows about nothing. For "Sunny" it's unfortunate more people haven't seen it and getting more recognition as a great comedy show worldwide.
It's not a show about nothing it's a show about friends who own a bar in philadelphia which is central to most storylines, that's as much as a premise as friends big bang how I met you mother and most sitcoms about a small group of friends.

I’m currently bingeing it as it used to be on at a really late time down under ( usually anytime from 11pm to 1am ) so I missed so many seasons. Thank goodness Disney+ has added all the seasons.
