@Gerald Mendoza lol sure. The phrase means that the other person shouldn't do anything to further upset them. Why? Because they're on "thin ice". Like, the thin ice on a lake. Meaning, if whoever is bothering them does not stop, the ice will break and they will fall into cold water. Which means trouble, haha.

@@bruno.6610 I think Conan understands objectivism all too well when he discovered how selfish and utterly without empathy his underling was. Rand argues that selfishness is a virtue and thus objectivism is viewed as a vicious and vile refutation of human ethics that keeps societies intact by encouraging empathy, kindness, solidarity, charity and love. Beware of people attracted to objectivism because it is the creed of sociopaths.

"You're on such thin ice with me, pal"
I feel like not even Conan remembered his name. A low key legend.
@Gerald Mendoza lol sure.
The phrase means that the other person shouldn't do anything to further upset them. Why? Because they're on "thin ice". Like, the thin ice on a lake. Meaning, if whoever is bothering them does not stop, the ice will break and they will fall into cold water. Which means trouble, haha.
Tell that to your boss and see how much you have for yourself after :D

@@BloodyClash "because all that is made up and scripted"
Incorrect. The vast majority of these bits are not scripted at all.
The general premise is set in advance, but even then it's rarely shared in its entirety.
The quality comes from a combination of genuine improv and aggressive editing.
Imagine being Jordan. You're a normal person. You are doing your job. Might even be stressed about some dumb work stuff, like prepping for a meeting on a committee you didn't even want to be on.
Then Conan bursts in, and you have to quickly pivot and transform into your character, which is deadpan and absurd; the way you speak is elevated and eloquent, though condescending and socially unaware.
It's like improv hell.

@@bruno.6610 I think Conan understands objectivism all too well when he discovered how selfish and utterly without empathy his underling was. Ayn Rand's philosophy of objectivism is the concept of man's main moral purpose is to satisfy his own happiness and that kindness and charity to others that is not manipulative to benefit him personally is repellent. Rand argues that selfishness is a virtue and thus objectivism is viewed as a vicious and vile refutation of human ethics that keeps societies intact by encouraging empathy, kindness, solidarity, charity and love.
