Jordan's reactions when conan first goes in are straight out of a suspect interrogation from an episode of law & order. Poorly feigned ignorance and avoiding eye contact, and then once he knows he's blown, he changes gears and meets his conan's gaze head on with the icy stare of a man resolute in his own righteousness.

I love how much genuine laughter is coming from the staff. I'm sure Conan can be a shrewd, tough businessman when he needs to be. But that fact that no one seems AFRAID of him or NERVOUS around him suggests that he probably a really nice person.
Anybody who has ever talks about Conan only has good things to say about him. He personally paid the salaries of like 80 of his staff members during the WGA strike in 2007. He is just a genuine guy who likes entertaining people.
The guy Conan promoted seemed to be scared based on his tone of voice when Conan confronted him
This show doesn't need guest, all his staff are already entertaining to watch.

Several of The Office co-stars are interns at Conan O'Brien's Late Night shows like John Krasinski, Angela Kinsey, Mindy Kaling etc. Even the writer Greg Daniels once worked with Conan. So yeah Conan does indirectly have something to do with The Office.
His staff is so comfortable with him, even when they’re in “trouble” it’s like Conan is their dad and they know he’s not that mad.
“Sharon, you’re in such deep trouble right now!” is one of the greatest moments in late night talk show history.
That's the moment she decided to become a rat. "If I'm going down, I'm taking everyone else with me."
This is almost like The Office.

When they had to move from NYC to LA for his new show, the network refused to pay for his staff to move crosscountry and I think they also stiffed them on payment during the late night drama - Conan paid for his entire staff to move and their paychecks while they sat in limbo with the networks. Ayn Rand's philosophy of objectivism is the concept of man's main moral purpose is to satisfy his own happiness and that kindness and charity to others that is not manipulative to benefit him personally is repellent. Rand argues that selfishness is a virtue and thus objectivism is viewed as a vicious and vile refutation of human ethics that keeps societies intact by encouraging empathy, kindness, solidarity, charity and love. Beware of people attracted to objectivism because it is the creed of sociopaths.

@@jdrc1233 The way Jordan explained it/rationalized his egotistical behavior sounds like what Ayn Rand would say. She believed in self interest above all else and abhorred communism/socialism. In this case, the cake isn't for everyone and should only benefit those who seek out the delicious morsels.
