Finally someone who is non-sensical and straight to the point. Did you feel replacing intervals is best? MMX sells their kit for around 1500-1800 bucks.
Hey man! Nice build! I’ve been on ropes about going with the hellion or the pro charger kit. Looking to run 6-7 pounds on the stock motor for 8-12 months before going in and really beefing everything up. You don’t see many driving videos from either kit just a lot of dyno runs etc. Do you have any advice or perspective you’d give on which kit to go with? Not sure if you’re familiar with pro charger kits but I’d assume you have seen a few. Both are around same price range after upgrading kits etc. I hear pro charger may be a bit more forgiving and require a bit less off the rip as far as support goes but again not much info out there.
The TT kit was a blast, but I had to make a change to Magnuson 2650 for other reasons. Loving the Maggie more than the TT kit honestly though. Drivability better, no heat issues, and the Maggie so far is more efficient as far as gas mileage than the TT. Pulley change soon, so will see with added boost if that stays the same
Thank you for giving facts in your video and breaking down things into detail. I seen so many videos that leaves me with questions that never get answered. Y’all subscribe
Great info. I currently have forged pistons kit and tomahawk cam kit from FRP sitting in the basement waiting on install in the spring. I think I'm going to pay a shop to do that work and do the twins myself. I'm 90% confident I could do the pistons and cam myself, but it's that 10% that says just let someone else get it done. Peace of mind I guess.
With a supercharger, 6lbs max is all a stock 392 can take. Like B5 said, the ring landings are shallow and are prone to breaking. It’s around the same for turbos because, again, those ring landings. If you upgrade just the pistons and retain the OE crank and connecting rods, you can up the boost to around 10lbs. before you need to swap those out for beefier parts
I actually just did a video update on it like 4 days ago but long story short it got put on hold. Im moving out of state in January so once my house sells and I get a new address I’ll be getting the new setup asap.
Boosting it on the stock pistons/rods will never be completely safe. However, having a knowledgeable tuner dial it in on a conservative tune will be the key to making it work. As I mentioned in the video if you run it on E85 that also adds safety to it.
@@B5beast422 awesome! I have a 2018 challenger scatpack and color. I have a JLT cold air intake, hellcat trottle body, new air intake manifold and long tube headers. My next goal is to camm it but I've heard it makes the case sluggish down low.
Hellcats are cool and all, but obviously if you already have a paid off SP or almost paid off SP the most logical and cost-efficient approach would be to just work with that. Who wants another 5-6 years worth of car payments plus interest?! Maybe you do.

Let the man be himself. Some people are like that. Just be grateful for the information; at least he took the time to put it out there.

I wasn't speeding.
I was flying low to avoid enemy radar.

You did a great job explaining ! 🔥

@@bulletproofrecon1082 thank you! But yeah it absolutely is best to. I run the MMX 422 kit in mine.
@@B5beast422 did you have to after so many miles or was it a choice to go bigger?
Good info cause this the route im going
Same here. I'm planning to build my 6.4 soon
Awesome, hope it helps

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely changed my mind about turbos .. Getting that kit soon!
It’s the most efficient way to go 100%
Amazing. Congratulations on your build. How would I be able to reach you if I needed some more information

How’s the transmission holding up so far with the 650 ish hp?

Yeah I know what ya mean it’s definitely a big job. I did some videos on my channel going over installing the pistons and building the motor
What clutch setup are you running?
I just bought a mostly loaded brand new WB with 29 miles for 51k. Maybe this will be installed in 3 years after the warranty....
Do you have to do any internals, if you do low boost?
Good info! Love that hood!
Thank you!
Coworker tried telling em our 6.4l can't handle boost, about how much on the high end of boost do you think the engine can handle?

For the record…they are ring “lands”, not landings.

@@B5beast422 I'll have to check that one out, I missed jt.
I’m thinking about doing this with my Chrysler 300 srt 8 it has a 6.4 and I think it would be dope any thought or recommendations?
This is actually safe on a stock 392 engine and a8 trans?
long term no....
Boosting it on the stock pistons/rods will never be completely safe. However, having a knowledgeable tuner dial it in on a conservative tune will be the key to making it work. As I mentioned in the video if you run it on E85 that also adds safety to it.
@B5beast422 so you're actually running the stock 392 block, you just stroked it?
@@shinismoove I have the stock “block” yes… the internals are not stock. Pistons/rods and crank were all changed for the stroker
Why go with a single drop in over a dual fuel system?
Just recommended the minimum to get people going. Obviously the more you wanna push it the more fuel it’s going to take but not on the stock motor.
Does this mod take away the snappy throttle response? Like is it more of a roll racing car?
No it’s still the same engine so throttle response doesn’t change, just pulls way harder when you’re under boost so the top end is way faster
