Video doesn't even begin to show how crazy this descent can get and Jeff makes it look WAAAAAY too easy. I don't know a single person who's cleaned 100% of this trail all at once. You might get most of it and maybe get what you missed another day, but getting the whole thing cleaned in one run is nuts. Great riding!
This just showed up in my feed. At first I thought “groovy new intro” but it’s six years old! Very slick production and sweet riding. I like the heart rate cut-in. @JeffLenoskyTrailBoss, we need a series like this for all the trails in NJ and Southwest NY. On the one hand it would be cool to have NJ as popular as Bentonville (it deserves it). OTOH, it nice not having piles of people on the trails! :-)
Watched this video 100 times before finally tackling Farlow this past weekend - I nailed the rock drop but those Creek crossings are IMPOSSIble - nice work and keep the videos coming!
One of the BEST trail reviews of ALL content that is out there. Thank you. I signed up for this event two years ago but "COMPLETELY chickened out" after failing to master Daniels Ridge. Finally, can do Daniels and now seeing this.... I will still chicken out but will actually show up at the start line this November 2021. Thank you for your generous and applicable content.
My boys who live in Brevard told me this is one of the gnarlier trails in Pisgah, would you agree? We rode Bennett's Gap and felt like that was pretty gnar, and the dude told us this was way sketchier. How do you feel?
I would think so, I hike a lot and you can always hear a mt biker coming. I also ride in an area with a lot of hikers and I have never had an issue. Take care
That is my 2016 Giant Trance. Even though I mess up and call it an Anthem you can see a bike check here ruclips.net/video/zBcXtuwlGws/видео.html&index=7
Jeff Lenosky I encourage you to put Coldwater Mountain, AL on your mtb bucket list. My buddy Andrew Taylor and I rode there in one of his videos ruclips.net/video/gAgDwP89n34/видео.html&feature=share
I know this video is old but I had to comment - I've been riding over 20 years, am 48 and would consider myself "intermediate" more or less. I have a 120mm travel Cannondale. For anyone that hasnt done Farlow - I'm sorry, walked Farlow, this video is VERY misleading to say the least. That large rock drop is not the first obstacle you come to - the commentary glosses over the "some grades reach 40%" part. This goes on for awhile and IMO would be un-rideable for most - Some of the guys I was with have ridden it during the Swank and Oramm and agree, most people walk that shit - rocks the size of basketballs covered in leaves and VERY steep. Its a torture session and painful to walk, much less ride. The water was also up so making those creek crossings will not always look like it does in this video. 475 to Gloucester to Farlow is 2k' in 5.5 miles, its not easy, then a shitload of hike a bike on Farlow. If you're not confident you're above an intermediate level rider with 140mm or more travel or just like steep shit, I'd avoid this. There are too many other great places to ride with a proper ROI than this gravel grind to Farlow. Just my humble opinion of course but thought I'd share a different perspective for folks to consider. If you're used to riding Dupont, Bent Creek and the like, dont go here... LOL
Scott Strickland hey Scott, this was one of my earlier Trail Boss videos and the intention was to show trails that have a reputation of being really really challenging being cleaned. I tried keeping these videos short and concise so it’s really difficult to show everything on such a long trail in 3 and a half minutes. I hope you subscribe to see more trails in the future.
I like the way you got your front wheel up on an obstacle then just (so effortlessly) flicked the back wheel up sideways. Very inspiring!

Thanks, this was a tough trail for sure!

Forrest Cory thank you!! I hope the videos helped!

Rode this for the first time this past weekend. Def my favorite at Pisgah!
excellent video dude! gonna hit this up soon
Your bike control is insane!
Super Sick Trail🔥🔥🔥 plus the Riding👌🏾👌🏾
He made this ride looks so easy. Most of us have to walk our bike through those technical sections.
Great video work sir. Really liking what you are doing.
that trail looks sickkkkk, and you are a fantastic rider man, nice work
Thanks dude! It's a really fun trail.
Awesome video and riding!
dude that looked tough. NICE ONE!!
what a fantastic ride
Thanks!
Rode this yesterday. It was absolutely insane.
Love your channel. Keep it up 🤘🤘
Great video! You're riding the wheels off it!!!
pwpbike thanks!!!
technical trail.. looks fun but quite tough for beginner . love it
Trials!! I'd soooooo wanna learn that!
Cleaning that first creek crossing is super impressive. How'd you fair in the really steep boulder section up top?
Doug Ferguson the top part is awesome but it's pretty much grip it and rip it. The footage was choppy too so we didn't show much.
Yeah, helmet cam footage doesn't' do it justice.
Need to ride this!!!!
MTB PhD it's awesome!
Wish this video was posted before I attempted to ride there! Amazing skills Jeff! Did you ride in Dupont?
Yes, DuPont is AMAZING as well.
hard core man!. Thanks for sharing :)
Legit riding! I just subscribed.
Juan Miranda thanks!! New video tomorrow
Do you ride a bike thats small for you because you do mostly trials?
probably, however now that I'm riding Reeb I feel like my bikes fit me much better! Compare new to old videos!
omg nicely done!
My boys who live in Brevard told me this is one of the gnarlier trails in Pisgah, would you agree? We rode Bennett's Gap and felt like that was pretty gnar, and the dude told us this was way sketchier. How do you feel?
Alexander Hall I’d agree. It’s pretty rugged!
Is This trail safe for hikers going in opposite direction.?
I would think so, I hike a lot and you can always hear a mt biker coming. I also ride in an area with a lot of hikers and I have never had an issue. Take care
Were you riding clipless on this run?
James Schreiber yes. Sorry for the mega delayed response!
fun and flowy
Amazing dude! Maybe a little more practice before I head out there ;-)
Thanks!
same
It used to be that I wanted to ride like Julian Absalon & Nino Schurter. Now I'd rather have the riding skills like Jeff & Brian Lopes!
B J thanks!!!
Is that a Trance or a Reign?
That is my 2016 Giant Trance. Even though I mess up and call it an Anthem you can see a bike check here
ruclips.net/video/zBcXtuwlGws/видео.html&index=7
like a BOSS !
Thanks!!
Stabilizing your camera would help, other than that great vid and a rowdy trail
My friends and I know these Pisgah trails well and that’s just disgusting to be able to jump/pop around while climbing up those Farlow chutes
Thanks? lol
Jeff Lenosky I encourage you to put Coldwater Mountain, AL on your mtb bucket list. My buddy Andrew Taylor and I rode there in one of his videos

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Understand completely - just wanted to offer my own perspective. That trail is stupid hard to a rider like me... LOL
@@CallMeJackWagon It's stupid hard for me too! lol
Who's the dink who didn't like this?!
On second thought, maybe I'll skip this trail lol.
Typical High altitude colorado ride.
I learned to hate roots in NC!
Looks like a nice beginners trail. NOT
