- There's a new trail in Pisgah National Forest! Join Mikes On Bikes for a POV ride through of this awesome new trail.
Bernard Mountain Trail was Built By Trail Dynamics for G5 Trail Collective in Old Fort Nc. Part of a 42 mile trail construction plan in Grandfather Ranger District of Pisgah National Forest in Old Fort NC, Near Black Mountain.
Bernard feels like something between Star Gap Trail, Kitsuma Trail, and Weedpatch Mountain Trail. A tight trail with several Gatekeeper trees for mountain bikes, optional lines, and an awesome rock drop with Tech section run out.
We skipped filming the Gravel road to keep the beginning interesting, but The ride out Mill Creek Road is Beautiful. If you look hard enough you can see Andrews geyser, and an old BNSF railroad bridge.
This trail is a stage in the Pisgah Enduro race

Where did you park to start the ride? I see where it comes out at on the Old US 70 greenway but can’t find the access to start of the trail?
There's a new parking lot on Mill Creek road at the end of Bernard mountain road. Most folks park at the old fort picnic area and ride up point lookout and ride the gravel down to Bernard
Is there somewhere online I can get the route?
