Love watching your rides as always. It makes me smile to hear you get so excited on the trail. My son was one of the gromms eating ice cream at The Hub. It truly made his day to meet you and then hear you mention it on this video. Thanks for being such a stand up guy. Hopefully we can catch you on a trail sometime. 🤘
I was introduced to that route last year right before its was closed for hiking only. There is a spot after that muddy section with a bit of a ledge next to the creek, I out my hand on the ledge while waiting for the group and got a hand full of snake. it scared me so bad I flipped off into the water still clipped into my bike. Not my finest moment but I did get it on GoPro but I also ripped a big hole in my pants. Anyway.... great video depicting that route.
Another great video! You guys always seem to have a great time riding together, it definitely seems I need to come experience Pisgah myself and have some fun!! Thanks again for sharing.✌️
One of the best trails in Pisgah. Just to clarify, Butter Gap down to Long Branch is NOT seasonal, the lower part from there and all of Cat Gap are seasonal for mtb use. Another seasonal one, if you haven't ridden it, is North Slope, it is super fun either direction and opens Oct 15-Apr15 for bikes. Sadly, this is probably going to be the last season you can ride Butter and Cat though. Butter Gap is slated to be re-routed this year and Cat Gap will be closed to bikes entirely for good when the re-route happens. Basically none of the existing trail will remain unless they've changed the plan since I saw it last.
You hit a LOT of water and mud on this ride. How do you clean up yourself and bike after? I am a truck driver and I tend to avoid water and mud because I don’t have running water to clean with. That trail looks fun though I feel like I’m still a rookie though I’m not a novice. I used to ride trail 100 in Phoenix weekly back in the 90s before suspension was a thing.
are you ever going to upload like "commentary" type videos? like your a-line video or your berm park vids with voiceovers and whatnot? I understand they take more time but those are always my favorites.
Man, your reactions when you ride to the trail and what it’s like is great. That trail was sick, some parts almost Red in grade, I’d hope they don’t change the trail as it looked amazing as it was, just a shame it’s not all year round. Anyway, keep up great content!
Hi Shane! part of the rerouting team here. unfortunately that trail is too far gone to keep open to the public. the reroute will have an AWESOME backcountry feel though. can’t wait for it to be rideable sometime later this year.
Been riding hiking trails for years w crazy roots and climbs/descents not made for bikes. This is nothing Bro. Young riders have no clue what trails were like 25 years ago. MTB trails are so "groomed" now.
Ian was my science teacher my freshman year in highschool. He's the goat!!
Sick trail and riding. Really loving these types of videos, just out shredding with buds and exploring the forest. You're killing it, Alex!
Sittin on the sidelines with a broken collarbone and cracked ribs, so I very much appreciate the shredding content Alex , keep it coming brother!!
Heal up dude!
Broke mine too, and on my first ride out this year! Heal fast man!
@@M1chiman oh man no way what a bummer!! A speedy recovery to you too!
Are you the one that broke it on Stage 2 of the race?
@@keithkreatives Lol nah man just on my local trails… hopefully that person heals up quick too though!

Dude you sound exactly how I feel after every mtb ride
Love watching your skills too 🚵🏻
Looks like some serious fun was had by all! Thanks for sharing
Fun stuff Alex. Family enjoyed hanging out watching before we headed out shredding. Keep up the fun.
A favorite trail for sure. Can’t wait to see all of the finished work ❤
Your videos always make me smile and laugh as if I’m on a great ride with friends. Appreciate the entertainment!
Season opens at midnight in the fall that's the first time I rode those. Midnight in the fall! What a party 🥳 🎉 😍
I’d be interested in seeing more of your beers and food post ride as well
Love the vids. Wish you could label all the trails along the route. More group rides. The energy is awesome.
Great video! Always fun to see you ride!
Best design I've seen
Can't get enough Pisgah!
Cool ride , nice love your work!!👍

Super roudy blue trail....soo fun looking!
Thanks for the video dude. Look forward to seeing you in South Africa sometime.
that was a sick drop!
Great to see a fun blue trail group ride. And one vote for more Tolkien references! 😀
ButterCat! Long Branch is a good option as well if you haven't been on it.
Great video! As an introvert, I’d be exhausted after a day like that 😂

You should go check out Paris mountain in Greenville SC! I’d love to see a video of you riding the trails they have out there!
Looks like a blast!
love your rides, we are planning a trip down there this summer or late fall, super stoked.
This look ah-mayyyyy-zing!!!!!
I grew up in Valrico, and my parents reverse snowbird in Connestee Falls near Pisgah. I don't own a bike but you make good content
I can’t wait till I get my knee fixed I really need to get back out there and ride one trail I’m really wanting to hit is Avery creek and farlow gap
Alex’s bike with 5 extra lbs of mud before the ride starts. Keepin it real.
😅
I love your videos
Great video! I’d love to be able to get out to Pisgah!
that was an awesome trail ride Alex, loved the vid
#300...love the vids. Always a cool adventure watching STS...
Love it!
Maybe American Blue. Canadian Green.
Hell yea bro, awesome video.
Nice shred and vid! Was at the HUB near the end of your video, just missed running into you. Next time Cheers!
glad to see you ride with friends. I would take that gap at full throttle, ok semi full
Your videos are sick🤟🤟🔥🤟
Awesome epik cool video and trail
I rode this combo for the first time on the 13th!! But you didn't show the Catheys creek bypass ;)
Great content dude 🤩🤘🔥
Thankful for your energy..are you on strava? ❤
love the content man! I gotta get my @$$ to pisgah!
Love watching your vids. Which model fezzari do you ride?

I use an Aihand pressure washer. I go to a river or stream and throw the hose in and then pressure wash my bike. Then leave. It’s fantastic
I would definitely do it on rollerblades just saying
Do you guys have to ride with us on Cape Cod Massachusetts?

Yep, on the way!
@@The_Sampler ayyyyy awesome
How's the Delano treating you? I'm thinking about one for my next bike.
What type of bike your been using?
Sooooooo
When is this trail opened? Until when?
How did you get to it?
Yo Alex wanna ride Farlow Gap on Wednesday?

There's a trail named Worm Hole at the top Butter Gap. That trail is a must ride after it opens in October and just before it closes in April.
So people just set up picnic tables 2 feet off of the trail. North Carolina is wild lol.
There was a stage race that day. They were handing out bacon to the racers.
Anyone know what's on the other side of the fence? Is that private property?
Fish hatchery
@@bradyessary5668 ah, so the trail circles back around kind of counter clockwise?
@@brianewing5530 correct
You should make one of those Jesus videos to even flow and do a massive whip to the Pearl Jam
Too much uphill at Pisgah. A normal or senior Definitely needs an EMTB!
