Draymond is more of a team-defense kind of guy. He is the fastest switch defender. Him and Steph are the fastest pick-and-roll combo in NBA history. For the job he has and the era he is in; he is the best for those specifics. But he isn't the best defender when compared side-by-side among other greats.

@@DeadshotGaming-rl4mb You're obviously ignorant and using the word "nostalgic" to guilt other casuals into ignoring your lack of NBA expertise. The game can ONLY be played at a much FASTER pace by watering down the defense. So even your own sentence doesn't make a lick of sense. This is what happens when sensitive fans respond with childish emotions instead of logic. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean that you know what you are talking about. So, don't @ me. Their one-on-one play plus defensive win share when there were no zones allowed speaks for itself. Other greats I saw in their prime include Rodman, Payton, Stockton, Eaton, Robinson, Bryant, Pippen, Wallace.

Id have to say Bill Russell as the undisputed GOAT of Defense. He is The Godfather of Defense. He played in a time before the DPOY but he revolutionized how defense and how the center position was played. He was 6’10 with a 48” vertical and was fast enough to keep up with any player his size. He was a tremendous on ball defender and was/is one of the greatest shot blockers of all time. Russell revolutionized Defense from a basketball IQ standpoint and his legacy still stands as the greatest in terms of defense imo

Iggy isn't a better defender than Draymond even he won't tell you that lmao. Draymond consistently in the DPOY running and should have 2 of them by now. He's the guy who let's them run a switch heavy D, he's containing more pick and rolls, he's guarding more bigs down low, he's making the call outs and decisions on adjustments. He's their Swiss army knife on defense he's active on every facet of defense you can aks a guy to be. Klay and Iggy are great 1v1 perimeter defenders but there's a reason Draymond gets DPOY votes over them
