Scottie knows what makes a player an all-time great, you can see it when he talks.
This is why I will always respect players who have a better (even equal) defensive game than their offensive. It takes so much more skill and work to get to the point of being an elite defender in comparison.
Curry for example is a great offensive player, but as soon as you bring in the other half of the game of basketball (defense) he immediately drops from discussion of all-time greats at his position.

You are wrong and here is why🤣but anyway, Magic Johnson is in top 5 greatest players of all time. He wasn't elite defender soo honestly that's not only the case... Defense is important, bit it is just one segment of the game, there is also shooting, passing, IQ etc, etc... The only thing that Magic wasn't good was in defense, same with Curry, Curry is still top 13 all time amd that's because he only has 3 championships, if he wins one more, he will pass Hakeem who is incredible defender and all time player and Oscar Robertson. Curry isn't in conversation for the greatest of all time is because he played bad in 2016 finals and also he was very inefficient in 2019 soo Curry isn't in GOAT conversation because he still has some things to prove, but his defense has nothing with that.

Yeah, I agree, defense in past was very, very important, right now, defense isn't soo important, right now everyone is focused on offense, all young players like Luka, Tatum, Trae, Ja etc, etc, etc are killers in offense, but nobody of them plays elite defense and still, some of them have a shot to become all time players, Luka is one of them. If you win 5 titles, it doesn't matter if you are elite defender or not, if oyu have 5 titles with 5 finals MVPs you are clearly in the GOAT conversation.

Said it was because they wanted to play him and he wasn’t sure if he was ready, so a loss of confidence in Spurs’ concern for his welfare (Spurs a team with the best reputation for taking care of their players). Now goes to Toronto and plays while injured, willing to sacrifice his body and possibly cause serious injury.

He lead his team with 60 wins. And he is in eastern finals with BUCKS, who were struggling for many years. 5 years only! Imagine if he was highshcool or at least at college in USA back then.
