Hey! I love how, if you were just starting out, you could furnish your home with a well established selection in every room for a fairly reasonable price. Our local B&Q hasn't got such a vast selection (at least not when I went there a few months ago).
Love blue and yellow flowers but the blue Orchids are dyed (i heard they water them with blue dye or sone such). I couldn't resist and bought one a few years ago but when it flowered again it was a white orchid 😕 I've just order a purple flower anthurium from Amazon only because I've never seen a purple one before.
I have 21orchids and purples are my favourite colour. The blue one is artificially died blue. I hate to see those as they are so unnaturallooking to me. Thanks for the tour!
Oh I so enjoyed shopping with u...lovede the selection and your knowledge of them all. my B&Q not so good, I asked them why all the plants and no soil? lol, thanks a mill....
That massive Pothos for £35 is so gorgeous! I’m so jealous I’d absolutely love one! Might have to go visit some big B&Q stores when I have the money/can get down to one and see if I can find one for myself 👀
Billie here. Thank you so much for your plant shopping. I never see a crown of thorns. Do they have then in UK. I think I am going GB shopping after my Saturday watering. Don't forget the bag when you leave TBE store. As always thank you🙂
I love that lighter green fittonia...with some pink inbetween....we never get much variety where I live! So exciting to see and will hope they catch on over here! Yes love the shopping videos over where you live....so healthy and great prices....I highly recommend any rhipsalis variety or misiltoe....they thrive in lower light...and they would do well for your hanging plants in less light areas! There sre so many beautiful varieties with low watering needs as well! Ok I am going to watch the rest of video...hope you bought something!!
I've seen a few Rhipsalis on these shopping trips so they seem to be getting more popular. Looks like a nice plant. There's a few plants I want to get, but I'm holding back at the moment because I've spent a fair bit of money on plants recently!
@@SheffieldMadePlants I hear you about spending! It will be exciting to see what future ones you are considering! I like how you pay close attention and know exactly what you want....I could only do that if my house burnt down and had to start all over again!!! Your way is the right way....I will live in suspence until you purchase your first wishlist!!
Nice little tour, your B&Q is much bigger than mine. I got my chocolate anthurium from B&Q about 5 weeks ago and its already put out one 1 new flower and another is on the way!
No fair! All of the Monsteras just sitting there to be bought and I have to drive 2 hours to go get mine 😭 I just want to reach through the screen and grab one
@@SheffieldMadePlants yess 😭 the closest place that sells them is IKEA and that’s all the way in Denver! But I’m seriously considering driving up there to pick one up and some other accessories for my plants.
I would LOVE to go shopping with you!!! I'm basically housebound & have to shop online, & I don't like it at all! My health is poor but I have no car either, so I go nowhere! I don't like shopping online for anything b/c I feel like I'm buying a pig in a poke! I want to see & feel what I'm getting!
11:03 Someone must have switched the pots for this because it’s actually a china doll bonsai, and the label it has is the one you were calling boring before 😂
I notice a lot of the plants have crispy dead leaves at the bottom. Would you say this increases the chance of there being fungus gnats in the soil? Also more risk of spider mites since the plants are bunched together?
@@SheffieldMadePlants I did recently watch a video however where they microwaved the actual soil, as the fungus gnats are already in it depending how it's stored. After a few minutes they show the dead larvae in the soil.
It's quite difficult to get hold of Aspistras these days, I'm desperately trying to rescue mine from a bout of overwatering. I guess they're out of fashion sadly
@@SheffieldMadePlants Funnily enough I have the day off work and intended going to Meadowhall but got off the tram at Ikea instead. I was walking around and found an Aspidistra Elata all on it's own. I didn't see any others anywhere. It's an adult plant with 9 large leaves and another just beginning to poke through the compost. It's in pretty good nick too, except for one of the leaves looks a bit creased and holey through transportation. I can cope with that but I’m still working on my rescue Aspidistra too. It didn’t have a price on it Ikea, but the staff said they were £22, which wasn’t too bad for a decent sized plant. I think it was a plant someone picked up, placed in the cart, and pushed around for a bit before seeing something they liked more and then they put it down anywhere. Keep up the good work.
The blue orcids are dyed and grow back white....how awful, leave nature alone, I once yelled at the manager in a supermarket when I saw the cut flowers, beautiful daisys dyed for Easter. I refused to buy them...lol fab video, thanks.

Love when you take us plant shopping! ❤🪴
Thanks 😊
The supplier seems to take good care. Thank you for the tour. It's very relaxing,
Thanks for watching
These are plants so beautiful and healthy! I love shopping plants.
I love it too
I have 5 different Calathea. And have never had a problem with crispy leaves

Hi Billie crown of thorns (disambiguation) like a succulent. Has small flowers . . would be a great addition to your collection .
Be well
Thanks for the tip!

Good tour. I'd like to have a garden centre tour of annual bedding plants.
Thanks 😊

It is a big one. They’ve made their houseplant section much bigger recently.
😊 great video fun
Just have to look out for gnats but some of my best plants are from b&q
👍
Great tour and beautiful, healthy plants. Are they produced in the UK? Or they come from The Nederlands?
Not sure 🤔

Haha thought it was a bit weird it looked nothing like an Alocasia!
thank god for the sad plant keeping at B&Q i can always find a bargin!
I had a look in Homebase today for some bargains but they only had Orchids that were starting to lose their flowers so didn’t bother
@@SheffieldMadePlants your B&Q is bigger than ours so you seem to have better choice. B&M did me proud again today and Wilcos Alocasia £2.50

Yes there's a risk of bugs spreading and dead leaves can attract gnats

Cheap plants,in Canada they would be 50 or 60 bucks each.

Do have tulsi plents
Not sure what they are?
B&Q is a major rip off for plants compared to Ikea
IKEA is filthy cheap 😁
