This was my brother’s song. He died in a motorcycle accident in ‘78 at he age of 21. I still miss him, but when Lindsey starts to sing he brings back my brother for just a short while….

Despite the decades of interpersonal drama they had, when the five of them are playing live you can just feel how music is just absolutely their first love. Mick Fleetwood always looks like an ecstatic puppy. Their joy is so contagious. Their live performances never fail to bring me to tears.
I'm 73 now and I can still remember how in the mid 70' when this album helped me get through one of the most intense emotional crises I've ever been through. Thank you.

Lindsay Buckingham’s solo is superb but the drive from John McVie and Mick Fleetwood’s bass and drums is what raises this song to another level. It may be almost fifty years old, but nothing comes close.
Yes, Stevie, Lindsay, and Christine are great, but after listing to these great songs for nearly 50 years, I am more intently listening for John McVie's bass and, yes, Mick Fleetwood's drums. They tie these creative geniuses together.

Everyone on the campus of Central Washington University would be playing this song, along with every other one on this album at full blast. . . . all day, every day. It was the best of times.

It's like the band is in over-drive. Is it the bass drum or bass guitar that's driving so hard, or both? Never appreciated this energy as much as I do now. Could be this outstanding presentation.

I was a university student when this version of Fleetwood Mac took the world by storm. Along with ELO, Pink Floyd and the Eagles they collectively made the nineteen seventies a golden era for pop music. Add Elkie Brooks, Al Stewart, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, the Moody Blues, Santana and Genesis to the mix and you have wonderful music I could listen to day and night!
Whether you like Fleetwood mac or not, that is without question a breathtaking performance of one of their best songs! Sends shivers down your spine how good they all are.

Yes, it's a real life soap opera. I remember seeing them play in London at the Rainbow just after Rumours was released and they were already in turmoil then. We juvenilely joked that Christine wasn't so perfect... The looks they were giving each other really added to the power of their performance. maybe that was their way of just getting through it all. Memorable, nearly half a century ago.

You should have heard them back in their early days when Peter Green was the guitar player. They were much more of a blues band then; Green was an incredible blues guitarist. Look him up online if you're into great guitar playing.

Lindsey wrote this song and Stevie said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine "I very much resented him telling the world that 'packing up, shacking up' with different men was all I wanted to do," she told Rolling Stone. "He knew it wasn't true. It was just an angry thing that he said.

The incredible thing about Lindsay Buckingham's style is the way that he doesn't just play the guitar, he becomes part of the guitar and he extracts sounds that are otherwise impossible.
The pain they're expressing towards each other in this 1997 performance proves their love for each other (Stevie and Lindsay). And I think it touches all of us, at least me.
This doesn't get any better just don't get classic music like this no more. Mcvie will surely be missed may she rest in peace now. One of the best bands ever.

I remember EXACTLY where I was and EXACTLY what I was doing when this album came out. I was 15, meeting "new" relatives in another province....If you REALLY look hard at the band, their eyes, their faces, the only one that appears to be having a "good time/grooving" is the drummer, the others are looking like it's a chore to be there. Do you think maybe the audience at the time picked up on this? I did, right off the bat. Stilll lovin their music, but this performance feels strained.

For electronic music nowadays you need to be half engineer nowadays (knowing the softwares inside and out. Also mixing and mastering). I'd say it is as hard as learning an instrument. And he literally could never escape it but you know it just shows how professional they all were because the tension was obvious but to spite that they didn't allow it to affect the live shows , in fact if anything it made the live performances that much more better and intense ❤ I never had the opportunity to see Fleetwood Mac live , however I just recently had the pleasure of seeing Stevie live in all her glory at 76 years old the amazing Gold dust Queen rocked out the arena and left us all with a wonderful timeless memory I will never ever forget❣️💯🥰
This has to be the greatest rock song ever! The vocals, bass, percussion, guitar... even Christie's organ blended to make such a solid sound. I personally can't think of a better song

I have searched long and hard for a performance of this song that matches this one. Can't find it. Not even the stuff that was performed when Lindsey was younger. This is hands down the best performance. Nothing else even comes close. This is the masterpiece of masterpieces of this song.

I was truly choked up when they launched into the first chorus! All those harmonies with Mick's and John McVie's rhythms just hits you right in the gut.
I used to think that but they claimed in interviews it was just for show. With their history, who knows, but it’s telling she kicked him out more or less in like 2020.
The emotion and the energy they give is unmatched! Incredible performances. But also seeing that smile and joy in Christine Mcvie near the end of the song is lovely!!! And of course, Mick's style and energy are superb! What can I say about Lindsey's unique fingering and playing. I have no words to elevate it to where it should be. John's chops and Stevie's voice. My God, could there ever be a better band!!!

I was a university student when this version of Fleetwood Mac took the world by storm. Along with ELO, Pink Floyd and the Eagles they collectively made the nineteen seventies a golden era for pop music. Add Elkie Brooks, Al Stewart, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, the Moody Blues, Santana and Genesis to the mix and you have wonderful music I could listen to day and night!

I remember EXACTLY where I was and EXACTLY what I was doing when this album came out. I was 15, meeting "new" relatives in another province....If you REALLY look hard at the band, their eyes, their faces, the only one that appears to be having a "good time/grooving" is the drummer, the others are looking like it's a chore to be there. Do you think maybe the audience at the time picked up on this? I did, right off the bat. Stilll lovin their music, but this performance feels strained.

For electronic music nowadays you need to be half engineer nowadays (knowing the softwares inside and out. Also mixing and mastering). I'd say it is as hard as learning an instrument. Omg yes !!!! And when they do silver springs live and she stares straight into his soul when she says "you'll never get away from the sound of my voice that will haunt you"!!!!! And he literally could never escape it but you know it just shows how professional they all were because the tension was obvious but to spite that they didn't allow it to affect the live shows , in fact if anything it made the live performances that much more better and intense ❤ I never had the opportunity to see Fleetwood Mac live , however I just recently had the pleasure of seeing Stevie live in all her glory at 76 years old the amazing Gold dust Queen rocked out the arena and left us all with a wonderful timeless memory I will never ever forget❣️💯🥰

I have searched long and hard for a performance of this song that matches this one. Can't find it. Not even the stuff that was performed when Lindsey was younger. This is hands down the best performance. Nothing else even comes close. This is the masterpiece of masterpieces of this song.
