After a year of owning a ‘19 Pacifica, I want to say, this video is spot on! I'm mechanically inclined and I tend to do most maintenance/services on all my cars. I have since fixed a couple of issues on the car myself. Your channel/videos provide really valuable information for those of us looking to buy a used car and I really appreciated. Keep up the awesome work!
I have Pacifica 2017 and have bad bubbling of paint on hood, one month after warranty expired I took it to dealership and they said I should call company customer service. I called and talked to a representative who agreed they would cover most of the cost which was 2500. She said I may have to pay 500 which I agreed to. The dealership then said I could not get it in to the body shop until after the time we go to Florida for the year but did setup a date for June 19 to get it repaired. Two weeks before the 16 I got a call from dealership saying that they talked to customer service and the person I talked to was not there any more and the new representative said they would not cover it. I called the representative and he said he would talk to his boss and get back to me. When I did not hear from him I called him and he said he was working on it that was over month ago Tried to call him many times and only get answer machine but he will not return my calls. I would advice not to buy Chrysler products they know they were selling cars that was defective but keep making them and will not fix them, they say it was not safety issue so they don’t have to recall them. I will never buy a Chrysler product again.
Every Pacifica Hybrid Car Reviews have been about being positive and promotiing sales of the pacifica. This is the first and the MOST important information we all need before going out to buy a car . i wish there were more reviews on common problems, defects, issues recalls and complaints in all new cars.
I have a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L... No issues whatsoever. Best vehicle I have ever owned!! Love the fuel savings! The ride is more Comfortable and feels more solid over Toyota Sienna or Honda mini vans. Chrysler did it again a winner just like the caravan and voyager success.
When the A light comes on the dash board for ESS, , you better get it fix by replacing the small battery quick otherwise it will drain the main battery when the car is off. It drained my main battery so bad that I needed a new battery. Also when replacing the small battery take off the negative terminal from the main battery for at least 20 minutes to reset the computer.
And that’s why as soon as I turn on the car, I got used to turning off the Automatic Engine Startup button. I have never had a problem with my battery. I hate that stupid turn off/turn on feature.
My solution was disconnecting the small battery. I wrapped the battery cables in electrical tape. Much better driving experience. Van does not turn off when stopped which is a plus.
You forgot the issue where the van will not start and the front panel will light up like a Christmas tree with various errors. This is caused by the star connector which needs to have the connectors and board replaced (which costs less than $100US if you can do it yourself). If you have this issue and you take it back to the dealership for repairs, it is often misdiagnosed and could cost you a boatload of money.
2021 Hybrid Plug-In, 24,000 miles so far. No problems so far. If the U-Connect acts up, you press and hold the volume and channel buttons in until it reboots. That has been done a few times and, so far, it has resolved any problems.
My 2018 Pacifica Hybrid issues: Catalytic converter (in 8months), infotainment restarts every 3mins, and sliding door actuator. Bad Cat converter got so hot that it almost set the minivan on fire. Dealer updated uconnect firmware and claiming it fix it, but same restart issue while driving back. First time owning Chrysler and it will be last.
oh brother. i just took the plunge, but I got a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. even covers all electric and even the tires. scratches. anything. I will be making sure they work
Stange this happens on some models but not all. My daughter is every two years. However, living in Southern Cali (desert) requires to replace the main battery every 3-4 years on every vehicle. Same with the windshield wipers every 6-8 months (extreme heat).
I have 3 of these issues happening at the moment! Anyone else noticed that the power steering has a "hitch" of sorts when cornering around 45-55mph? Also, having to replace the rear sliding door actuator.
great video, however as a 37 year certified tech chryslers are all problematic, unless your going ole school, and I mean real ole school like the 1980's on back
no, we have the same van and i replaced my battery last year it maybe took 15 minutes. Had to remove a couple little things to have room but it wasn't hard to do. Most part stores will do it for free if you buy the battery from them, or watch a youtube video showing how to do it and if you can handle the weight do it yourself.
Looks like problems with the liftgate did not make the list. If you own one of these vehicles, familiar yourselves how to MANUALLY open tailgate , while it's still working.
Can u help me here pls . We just got a Pacifica and the lift-gate wouldn't open or shut auto and it said do it manually . We tried many times but still wouldn't lock . Can help me pls so i can show my hubby how to get it to lock? 😢thank u in advance .
2nd row captain chair headrest is in forward position and will not stay back upright. These have a spring in the headrest that defaults them forward. They are supposed to go back upright when seat is locked back into normal position but my headrest is permanently in forward down position like stowaway mode. Something inside must be broke. Terrible design!
My 2019 Chrysler Pacifica occasionally gets stuck in accessory mode when I attempt to turn it off during cold weather. I find this situation quite frustrating. Is there anyone who can provide insight into the possible reasons behind this issue?
I too had this issue in our ‘19 Pacifica. I live in South FL so it’s probably not related to cold weather. The issue hasn’t happened in a while for me, but many times after shutting off the car, I wasn’t sure whether it was On/off.
6816 4960 AA - Have the part on my desk. It's the problem you hear the blend door hunting whenever you open either door and it's lost, so just keeps hunting and hunting until it eventually gives up. Simple fix, but a very tight space. You have to remove the glove box.
My daughter has a 2019 Pacifica and her original transmission went at around 36,000 miles and then six months later she had to have another replacement. Her car has had three transmissions in 3 1/2 years. She has had the radiator go out plus most of the other things that were on the list of ten and she had to pay for all but the transmissions. The car is a lemon and Chrysler recalling these things for her car.
I have 2018 pacifica. The transmission sucks. If you are accelerating and take your foot off at a gear change, then it sounds like the transmission dropped out. Weirdly putting in only non-ethanol gas has minimized this. 70 cents more a gallon though. The transmission tries to learn your habits but there is a youtube video on how to reset the learning.
@@VaxxedStories yep, sheer garage. Paid $50k for 2018 Hybrid and bunch of issues cropping up after 3 yr manufacturer warranty expired. Lucky I bought 2yr extended warranty expecting typical Chrysler defects. Never again.
@@Joseph-eh4rs The Hybrid is a completely different animal and riddled with problems electric cars are still too new in it's infancy. Internal combustion engine ones are fine. I have an '18 Pacifica and runs perfect if you take care of it. Love it.

Even the top tier cars (aka Rolls Royce and Bently) have issues. No one is immune to problems.

Could you elaborate please? I’m having similar issue. Ny gas pedal is stuck and car won’t start.
What do you mean by star conector? Where is it located and how does it look?
Also happens when your battery needs replacement. Happened to me 2x.

Another problem in the 2019 are the batteries especially the small battery which needs steady replacement
unplug it lol
I have the 18 and just put in a second aux battery. Leave the negative unplugged if you never use the ESS you just have to look at the idiot light..
Need to replace mine twice in 2 years. Main and auxiliary

Chrysler's warranty for the batteries is 36 months and mine goes every year so I've been covered.

I was told that Chrysler will fix it or give new hood but I’m in Canada
Mine too

mine does it at very slow speed like backing or moving forward while turning left
What year is your Pacifica?
are you referring to a stiffness in the steering wheel when taking extreme turns ?
@@jfoquendo stiffness on steering while making a turn on higher speed on my 2017 model. Thanks for the solution pls?

How do we get an update
So why didn’t you say anything about the oil cooler going out leaking oil?
