    The test for ground at fuse 20 at 6:30 is brilliant. And then testing your diagram's accuracy was extra brilliant! I know for a pro its probably standard stuff but for a novice guy like myself its brilliant! edit... sorry wrong fuse! LOL!! Still love the testing.

    I have run 6 amps thru those leads and have been good, so far. But seeing how cautious you are with yours makes me want to be a little more careful with mine since the kit wasn't cheap.

    Nice diag. Looks like you are using Joe Caci's test light leads on the end of your OTC test light. I have one on my OTC light and prefer it over the stock cord.

    whenever you used the test light on to test the ground circuit of the bulb, was the bulb not lighting due to the resistance of the test light not allowing full current flow?

      How would you do it with a Power Probe at the compressor? Would you disconnect the connector at the compressor and check for ground on the compressor side and power on the harness side?

    • @MarkVanTasell

      @@bernardocisneros4402 no leave it plugged in quick back probe and check power and ground/then you can unplug it and apply power and ground see if clutch engages

    Ya know that "FREON" is a brand name that refers to a group of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) compounds, which are used primarily as refrigerants in air conditioning systems, refrigerators, and other cooling devices. The term "Freon" is often used generically to refer to any refrigerant, but technically, it's a specific type of chemical compound developed by DuPont (now Chemours).😜

    That shop, can probably just remove, clean, reshim, done!!

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  3 месяца назад

      There was no continuity through the coil, so cleaning and reshim would not help. If Chrysler sells it, they could probably replace just the Clutch coil. The shop replaced the whole compressor, which is what I think most shops would do.

    Freon is not just a brand that made R12. Freon is DuPont's trade name for their refrigerants. There is Freon 12, Freon 22, Freon 134a, 404a, 410a, etc. If it's manufactured by DuPont or Chemours, it will have "Freon" in front of the refrigerant number. I call all refrigerant Freon, as just about every HVAC/R tech does.
    Some compounds have been assigned another trade name to, like 410a is called Puron (Carrier), 1234yf is called Opteon. Honeywell calls their refrigerants "Genetron"
