Hi thebraineak, thanks for taking the time to put this video together and sharing it. I have a question, if I may... After having all the mounts replaced on my 2003 lancer, I started to fell lots of vibration on the floor, pedals, steering wheel and dashboard in general. The car drove great for 2 days and then started to get worse to the point that now if felt like there's no motor mounts at all. I took it back to the mechanic, he checked everything, pulled 2 of them out and re-installed them again, it got better for a day or two and then the issue came back again. I'm taking it back to the mechanic but was wondering if you have any ideas of where the problem might be residing. Thanks so much for your time!
Hey how you doing, I kno we're 6 -7months since your new installments, however my guesses are that 1- you were given defective engine mounts 2- they weren't properly reinstalled 3- your IAC (idle air control valve) and TB (throttle body) was dirty and needed cleaning. Also, custom polyurethane or plastic nylotron mounts are solid as soccer calves but will DEFINITELY cause abnormal vibration. Hope your still enjoying your Lancer buddy. Take care
FYI: For the front motor mount, if you look on the lower part of the mount, you will notice a square at the bottom. Face that small square towards the front of the vehicle, that is how you know which way to install the front motor mount.
Do you remember how you got the rear mount out? I tried taking the bracket out, but it's partially stuck. The engine is leaning against it, preventing me from taking it out. I tried lowering the sub frame, too, but the bolts are just turning in place.

FYI, when you change the rear mount, you should remove the rear mount bracket also. this makes life much more easier.

Yea an in the video he didn't do that. It's in the rear on the new 1.
Hi thebraineak, thanks for sharing your experience. one quick question, where did you get the new engine mount bar? Thanks!
Just curious....did the bad mount cause shaking during deceleration?

@Jess P Yeah. It turns out you can access the bottom bracket bolt easily from under the car. DERP!
Is this an automatic or manual? I have a manual and i was wondering if it was the same.
do you have a picture of the rear bracket on which the rear mount sits?
go do the one on rear and good luck😂😂
Doing it the hard long way 🤦🏻♂️
