Yep I’ve been a full time employee and part time volunteer while being a full time student finishing my last 8 classes for my undergrad while also fixing loads of cars in in the night excluding those that come for routine maintenance and somehow managed to continue having a social life (sorta) and enjoying as much as I can to try and make it somewhere that is sustainable. I’m glad my videos aided you in your confidence to mend your vehicle. I make these just for fun not only to look back on what I did, but to share and show my work.
The best video ever! Followed it step by step today. My car feels amazing.. the rear mount was a PITA! But your tips and trick made it super simple!! Thanks again.
Dude, this video inspired me to try this and i did it but it almost killed me. cross threaded bolts, a mount with holes off an 8th of an inch, literally every step something went wrong. but i did it! Thanks for the tips!

Hi, did you put a jack under the engine/transmission when replacing the front and rear motor mount? Maybe to get them aligned to put back the bolts? And if replacing only the rear mount, can it be done without removing the front motor mount and that crossmember that it comes with? Thx
sir i have been at it for 2 days, its 2024 and im watching this. was estactic to get the 3 bracket bolts (rear motor mount) in, but now i cant get any of the four motor mount bolts to the frame. i think i need to lossen to bracket more so there is more play
I just purchased the motor mount kit and was wondering what the difference is between those and the tranny mounts when the tranny mounts came in the kit 🤔 wanna make sure because this purchase has me worried 😅
The wheel tends to vibrate at stoplights etc which made me assume a motor mount and have no problem changing all 4 if imma do 2/4 anyways but just wanted the clarification ! Thx!
I was dreading doing the rear mount on my Lancer but after seeing this, maybe it won't be so bad. Looks like i might have to contend with the shift linkages though since mine is a manual. Any alternate routes or info on whether the shift linkages need to be taken out?
I tried to take the part of the mount that is attached to the transmission cause I had to take the tranny out but I only saw two bolts in total looking back I might have just been exuasted lol will be looking at it again today
Saludos Cuando el soporte o punto no sale por arriba, habría que dejar bajar la transmisión un poco? Sería el punto del izq.superior.plis ayúdame. Muchas gracias.
Man you must have taken that car apart 20 times by now. The amount of work you’ve put into this vs the value of the car would have mechanically totaled it a hundred times over by now.
A Lancer will turn you into an amazing mechanic. It’s a blessing in disguise.
That's true for sure. I've rebuilt all of the front end suspension in mine and I'm about to do the timing belt here soon.
This is so true wtf😂 now i have a Mazda and watcht this video because somebody consulted me about a Lancer.😅
@@zedsdead7670 same here
@@carlomedic3249 i have both lol

Glad it helped!
Excellent video. Saved me a ton of fumbling around with the rear mount!
Be careful lifting the engine with a jack always put a block of wood to evenly distribute the weight so you don’t blow a hole into the oil pan.
Thank you so much for this video👏 Now I know how to install engine mounts on my 2002 lancer es👊
Love your step by step tutorial how you break it down tell and show what you're doing keep up the videos
Very interesting. Will be attempting to replace the rear and front mount soon

Lol, Yep, I know that feeling. Is hardly ever as straight forward as it looks. And if it is you wonder what you forgot
I think you just saved me $900, thanks!
I recommend investing in a pressure washer to clean up projects before taking them apart. Working on clean parts will help you mentally stay positive.
Bro... you have 3 comments. Edit one ffs.

I appreciate the content it greatly helps with doing these things.
Please tell me the mount is the same one the 2010 Evo X... so far can't find anything but the front mount for a video.
Very good video

How is it without changing the transmissions mount? Is the vibration ok? Thank you bro
How long did it take you to do the rear motor mount alone? They’re telling me it takes a mechanic 8 hours. Is that correct?
I'd like to know too, I'm having a friend come over to help me out I wanna know if I should have a whole day set aside
Any chance you can put a list with all tools used?
Where exactly did you get your mounts from?
whats the length of long extension you used

Would i be able to remove all 4 (14mm) bolts from the top as well , asking for a friend 😂😂?

Thanks man
Thanks for the info

is the manual and auto rear mounts the same?
So if replacing the front and rear mounts, you dont need to support the engine?

Muchas gracias.
Does it have a fuel filter or is it on the fuel pump?
on the fuel pump
That undercarriage could use a good steam cleaning, otherwise how'd that dirt taste.
Perks of living in a salty state mixed with living on dirt roads lol. Once you live on dirt, it seems the vehicle will never be clean again. 🤣
I’m thinking of doing this job, you did a hell of service for many looking to do the same, Thank You.
are you sure about the front engine mount dirction i think the squre hole should be to the front of the car not towards the engine

It's easy coz you don't have a Ralliart/Evo. With the turbo and everything in the way that's not that easy haha.
