- My vlog aims to depict the excellent facilities found aboard STENA VISION, a large ferry operating for @Stenaline between Rosslare Europort in southeast Ireland and Cherbourg in the Normandy region of France.
Cabin accommodation is available though not mandatory during this 16hr voyage.
Passenger amenities are located on decks 7, 8 & 9 though mostly found on the later.
Passenger lifts are available for those in a wheelchair or have walking difficulties.
Onboard one will find a reception which is open 24/7, a shop, dining rooms, bars, excellent children's playrooms, a vast amount of exterior deck space, nightclub and even a Nordic Spa with two jacuzzis and two saunas.

Really nostalgic for me, on December 2022, the week on Christmas, I visited France on one of these ferries and although the water was rough, it was an enjoyable experience and the views were breathtaking!

I do like the older ships but I’ve just come back from the Baltic and did Helsinki- Tallinn - Stockholm and the ships Tallink have are unreal basically cruise ships , I’ve been on every Stena line ferry and route yet the Scandinavian ships are far superior. Great video man

Was recently on the Stena Horizon which also runs the Rosslare to Cherbourg route. Not that pleasant, sea sick the whole time and boat had extremely basic interiors.

I understand most ro/ro ferries were never designed to have any sort of lavish passenger spaces but the Horizon felt more bare-bones than any other one I've been on.
When the W.B Yeats passed us on the way there I sort of envied the passengers on it lol.
Also not really any fault of the ship itself but whatever was going on that night in the water meant it pitched like hell. Thing rolled back and forth like a rocking chair constantly. Enough to cause your food tray to almost fly out of your hands.

@@larrydevery4840 unlike other operators overnight cabin accommodation is not mandatory so a good way to save money plus, hot beverages and snacks are available from the bar 24/7 if you get the midnight munchies. A blog can be found at www.a2bviasea.co.uk

No, its all separate. You buy your ferry ticket and, if you wish, add on the room - overnight accommodation is not mandatory.
Also, meals are not included; just purchase food as/when.

Hello my friend. what a beautiful video i was wondering how does it work for check in if we don't have a vehicle? do you have to show a passport or just a ticket to enter the boat ?

Wonder if you saw any dogs and if they were out and about on deck? We’re in a pet cabin with 2 large flat coated retrievers next month. Hoping we can take them on deck for walks.

@@tarahgraham3735 hi. Present yourself at the Stena Line desk within Rosslare Europort. If you are going to be early bring snacks and drinks as there is no catering in the terminal, although there are shops and a restaurant up the road (I can give details if needed).
You are given a boarding card and taken to the ship by bus. Show your tickets and passport/ID at the PAF in Cherbourg when you disembark so keep them to hand.
