My wife and I traveled to Ireland in the spring of 2023. We had shipped our motorcycle to Heathrow from Calgary in Canada. We had a wonderful visit. My ancestors came from Ireland and we have been fortunate enough to reconnect with our family in Ireland. We had a warm ride in wonderful spring weather. We really enjoyed our ride through Europe. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Wow!! What a great trip that must have been 😊 what motorcycle do you have?
In glad you enjoyed it here, and how nice it must have been to reconnect with family here!
In the future some time I'd love to take my bike over Canada, and the USA
Thanks for watching and for the comment 👍

Just a word of advice. When on a ferry don't put your bike on the centre stand for tying down. On a bit of a heavy sea the bike will pivot on the centre stand and could be damaged. Best to tie down with the bike on the side stand, using the ratchet on the side stand side the result is that the bike will be much more secure in choppy waters.

      Sorry for the late reply!
Ah thanks for the information. Hadn't a clue when I got there tbh, I probably would have put on centre stand if the KTM had one so it was a fluke. I'll let Jack know for any of his Multistrada trips :)

Thank you 😀 I got mine on Amazon to which it is not available anymore (to Ireland that is). I did find it on Aliexpress too.
I put the link in the bio as it wouldn't paste here!
Mine broke recently, partially my fault. The phone wasn't completely secure causing lot's of vibrations. But the part is relatively cheap!

      Hi thanks for watching-
I used this website as a good guide - www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/features/travel/how-to-ride-a-motorcycle-in-france
It mentions about getting the sticker for emissions, I did purchase this however the sticker never arrived. They do email you a copy of the certificate so its handy to have that.
Another thing to ensure is that your insurance is covering you to drive in other countries etc.
And it's always a good idea to watch your speed 👍😁
Any more questions feel free to ask!

Yeah it's great! I love it to be honest.
I came from a Fazer 600 to it so was a big difference, especially the leg room was much appreciated!
