You can code the digital dash to refresh 5 times a second and it will count every number. This is the M car setting. Currently yours is at 2 times a second.

I’ve heard great things about the G30 M550 EGS (Alpina Electronic gearbox software) since they are practically the same cars, same engine, transmission and alpina B5 is n63. You should make a video in it

Before my m550i I had a 2014 535i with dinan exhaust only time you really hear the drone was in echo mode put in sport and it goes away

On the infotainment screen id there different performance guages? It looks like you have boost psi and maybe hp on it there. Looking to get one of these soon but i like being able to watch my temps/pressures
You can do it on the newer models not on mine unfortunately
Dinan doesn’t make ignition coils. They are actually just the oem equivalent Delphi coils with a different color clip…

Are you using the stock intercooler? Or did you need to upgrade w this specific tune? Any additional upgrades besides catless downpipes?
Just downpipes no need to upgrade intercooler
Can you do 0-60 video with stage 2?
When you got the downpipes installed did you have a check engine light? And with the downpipes will you pass emissions for inspection?
In my state you only need what they call a E check and you can use a manual OBD scanner which scans the car for codes and passes it because my tune doesn’t show any.
I have a 2012 550i w Msport package, catless down pipes, jb4stage 2 computer and set to 18lbs of boost.. you will not pass an emissions test with catless downpipes… look for a nearby county that doesn’t require an emission test and establish an address you ca😊n ha😊be a couple bills sent to or use 😊a friends address and just have them write up a landlord/tenant, lease agreement 😇🇺🇸
Weird question, I wouldn't expect it to do anything but removing the resonators. Did that throw any codes or back pressure issues? I have a 2019 and have been looking into removing them as I am not ready to do remapping just yet.
Wonder same thing any issues ? Have a 2019 looking into doing a resonator delete.
Removing the resonators does not cause any faults at all or any back pressure problems. If anything it makes the car much smoother! I would recommend a x pipe to be installed in its place to prevent any raspy noises or drone. By far the greatest and cheapest way to get more sound! I have a few videos that show this work before and after!

if you change to the Alpina display, does the Speed Limiter get past 163mph after the tune? My M550i keeps maxing me out at 163mph.

I’m running the same setup on my 2017 650 stage 2 93 no resonator stock muffler arm downpipes bootmod3 , but didn’t get options for burbles in the configuration how did you get burbles????

How much gallons of gas do you approximately go through in a week? I'm sure I can afford the car itself, but it'll be my first gas gulper and I got no clue what I'm gonna be looking at soon. I know it's different for everyone but your drive style is pretty similar to mine hence the question. Thanks in advance
To be completely honest I daily this to work everyday and do a lot of driving. I talk more about it in my next video where I go more in depth and go over true MPG’s!

How’s the service record? It’s a great choice if you have a good carfax (although that can be incorrect/misleading in some cases, it’s a good data point).
There was an engine update in 2020, you might want to look into if you’re interested in that. You could likely get a 2020 with similar mileage coming off lease for $50k if you could swing that. If not, get he 2018, but it’s possible you’ll make the difference in service depending if you have maintenance/warrant, which you’d have for atleast another year on the 2020. Especially if you found a certified pre owned.

Yes
Try using your paddle shifters. You’d make the car sound so much better with RPM control and the noise. You will also drive smoother when you are in control and the car will get used to you.

you don't know what drone is.....try a nice catback on a b8.5 audi s5. Your ears will suck out of your head. If your ears don't feel like they are getting sucked out of your head (certain frequencies will make you feel this way) then you don't have any drone issues.
