ONE of the BEST damn vids I've ever seen on BM3. I've seriously been thinking about this for my M550 23'. I want to go Stage 2 w/ 93 Octane. Gotta figure out a GOOD and QUALITY HF downpipes to get that will pass inspection here in MD. first. What I will do for intake is install some high flow Dinan. I only got less than 7k miles on my car but... I really want to have fun w/ it now that it's new
You'll need to flash your DME first. Gotta send it out to FEMTO I believe.

Your ride is 🔥. I have a 2019 M550i and I contacted ProTuning Freaks and they said the BM3 burbles/pops adjustment were not possible on our V8 because it did not come with them from factory. Not sure what they meant because we're not talking about factory tunes here and also our cars do pop on factory tune sometimes. So clearly they are wrong based on your vid?
Stock in sport plus the cars pop and bang. In BM3 you can change those settings manually and adjust duration and aggressiveness.

Did you have to unlock your dme first beflre you tuned it via bm3? Or you just started with bm3 and it worked. I heard pre 2020 you dont ha e to unlock dme bwfore tuning i also have a 2018 m550 i just picked up.

What’s the best setting for burble and high burble would it mess up the turbos?
Wish i seen this before i got my tune. I have a 540i stage 2. My tuner said they do a custom tune with bootmod and that they dont provide me with the app which i find stupid since i paid for it . I didnt know that the app was a thing at first or how simple it would be to do it myself. Im assuming at this point to get access to the app and stuff i would have to just purchase the tune again for myself this time. 😐 L Rizz
Im boutta just full send this with charge pipes, down pipes, and a stage 2 tune. Just worried about the longevity of the engine but we will see lol
Knock on wood I’m at 106k miles and have been tuned for almost 25k miles. no issues
I know u need down pipes and all that but would u need a charge pipe and do you think the he car will be fine without them cz im planning on having this setteuo but with the charge pipe

When you buy the BM3, It’s not something physical right? Do you just download the app and enter in credentials like email etc, then You have like an account code you get from your order? i’m confused
You purchase the license and they email you a code. You then go to the BM3 login page on Protuningfreaks.com and create an account. Then you enter vehicle information and the activation key you are emailed after purchase

I don’t know for sure when I go to purchase the bundle for my engine it says $150. I’m putting my cats in tomorrow so hopefully there is a cheaper way for one more ots

How do you put the car in Accesorie mode?
Press the start stop button 3 times rapidly
Can you flash it back to smog in California
You can turn off the CEL so you should be good
How is the gas after the burble tune?
Still really efficient if not on it

It’s automatically unlocks when flashing

Yes! You have to have it unlocked. You guys aren’t talking about the same thing here. Some ECU’s are bench locked by BMW. The software uses the term “unlock” when flashing. Not the same thing.
Just ask him the year of his BMW June 2020+ are bench locked. I have a 2021 and I cant flash it.
Plus his BMW is pre 7 idrive it looks so he can flash his.

Yes you just have to find someone that is reselling

Yes it does! You would use the N63TU3 tune they offer
